The food was pretty. And it's delicious. The staff were kind whenever they went, too. I especially like to eat outside in the sunroom. The atmosphere is so nice

My husband and I have not been here since its changed ownership and I don't know what took us so long! The food was fresh and delicious and the service was stellar (shout out to Brandon)! We will definitely be back, and often.

I came here because my daughter brought me here to try some sushi. It was a nice experience the sushi was very good and the service was friendly.

This place is great. I’ve had plenty of sushi, so believe me when I say the fish tastes fresh here. No slimy textures, no bad smells. Service was great, And servers were friendly and accommodating. If you’re hesitant on price, and feel as if this place is “expensive”, just go try it out. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll pay $12-$15 anywhere else. Pay a couple dollars more at Katana for great quality. At the end of the day you’re putting raw fish into your body. You want it to be of exceptional quality.

There has been a lot of changes from the original Sushi Garden 2. The place is renovated which is great. However, they are so focused on aesthetic the quality of the food is terrible. The tempura is not breaded well enough. The rolls were mostly rice, which was overly dry. The quality is just not there to excuse the prices they are charging. After going there for several years today’s visit will definitely be my last one.

It was a younger place doing photography for the gram. But i loved it. Very courteous. Good sushi for turlock

Sushi was excellent. Only one waiter, he was running to and fro, and did a great job. Atmosphere was ok. Still super expensive - if they dropped the prices by $3-$5 on each roll, I'd definitely go regularly.

Arrived almost at 1 pm on a Saturday, plenty tables available. We asked for a bigger table for two and the server asked us if we were planning to order a lot of food. I did not appreciated that. I am not planning to come back here. This is the second time that I did not like the customer service. I understand if they do not want to give you a bigger table when is very busy, which was not the case .

The Tempura was soft not crispy and very bland. The broccoli was very mushy (Cutting the Broccoli in half would reduce cooking time and keep the product from being over cooked.) The Soft Shell Crab Scorpion Roll was spicy but had no flavor except the teriyaki Sauce that was on top. The server was very busy it was just him and one other Gentleman who were serving the whole dining room. Tempura took almost 25 Mins and the roll another 15-20 minutes.

Had been this restaurant a couple times and like their food quality, but the service of recent visit really ruined all the good impression accumulated. I ordered a to-go order by 11:32am and was told to come by 12. Yet they completely forgot the order when I arrived, then waited until 12:30pm. The waiter said nothing why it was late. Another waiter apologized later. Wish no one will suffer from this again.

The fish is always fresh and delicious. I love getting the charasi bowl. They are a full bar and various beers on tap. Sometimes you just have to wait a little to be seated, but it is definitely worth the wait. Best sushi in town!

Wow, $36 for a Chirashi bowl that was only a few pieces of sashimi and a mound of sticky rice? Osaka offers a much better version with delicious trimmings of veggies annd eggs and much more fish for almost half the price. No wonder this place is empty. This didn’t even have tobiko on top, and they were very stingy with the wasabi.

I love this place! Just be prepared to wait and be patient as they could have people training. Ordered to go and waited 20min +and by the time my roll I picked up , it was super soggy and not really eatable. They said this roll tend to sog.... idk... four starts though! Not bad a place to dine in.

My wife introduced me to Katana back when we were dating. Since my first experience, I have loved it here. Kozy little spot with good atmosphere and great food. The service has always been excellent also. I would eat here everyday if I could.

Delicious, and fun. Enjoyed some yummy new special sushi rolls and flavors. Couldn't have been more pleased with the taste, service and experience.

We love this place! Have been coming here for 10+ years, and the quality of the fish & overall is best in Turlock! Even after the ownership & name changed, the main chefs and staff are the same. It’s nice to see familiar faces and get the same taste of our favorite rolls time and over again. Even when we take it to go, it’s nicely presented and yum.

Better quality of fish than the last time I tried this restaurant but sliced razor thin on the sashimi plates, great service. The tables were a little dirty. The prices were above average for the rolls but other than that it was okay
