The only pro to this apartment is the location to campus. They will take your security deposit and charge you ridiculous fees as well. The apartment was left clean without damages. If you are a current resident, at move out you will be offered a $150 no hassle cleaning fee. It reads as if it is optional and a great way to leave without having to clean. It is NOT optional. Just pay the fee, otherwise you will be charged twice that amount for cleaning and paint. After several emails I was told by Madeline Alligood that these fees are assessed if the Hassle Free clean is not accepted regardless of the state of the apartment. This is not in the lease, nor any addendum. The only charges in your lease refer to damages. There were no damages. They take advantage of young adults and out of state parents. So many better choices and better management. Just find another place to live.

Very disappointed. We followed all rules for move out. The apartment was clean and ready for the next tenant. Today, we were charged $285 for “turnover paint and cleaning”. The apartment was 100 times cleaner at move out (7/2022) than at move in (8/2021). Two starts only because my daughter enjoyed her time there but very disappointed in the trying to collect extra fees

Set up automatic pay for my son's apt. They drafted first two months, then put an eviction notice for non-payment of 3rd month rent on his door 7 days after due date. Eviction notice had no phone number to call. Couldn't figure out why State didn't draft the third month's rent so I immediately paid manually on website and sent email asking what happened. Email was never responded to after a week. Call repeatedly during office hours only to get voicemail. Left voicemail and that was unreturned as well. Finally got someone live on the phone, escalated to a manager (Madeline - who signed the eviction notice) and they explained that because I chose an automatic pay date a couple days before the actual rent post date, that's what led to the eviction notice - even though it correctly drafted in the prior months. There was no offer of an apology for not returning emails or calls, no apology for the system not being consistent (draft worked fine in prior months.) Just an extremely defensive manager telling me that they didn't have time to return communications and that is was all my fault. Stay FAR AWAY from this place - terribly mismanaged.

I love living here. It is nice and the staff is always friendly. my one issue has been maintenance, but it seems to have gotten better since move in. I really love how safe the building is and the location

I only gave one star because zero wasn’t an option. On move in day we were told to come back later because they weren’t ready for us. Once we got in the unit we entered an 88 degree apartment because the air conditioner was broken and there was nothing they could do to fix it so we ended up with window units for around a month. When the toilet was flushed for the first time water rushed out of the base of the apartment requiring a new toilet to be installed add in a total mess of an apartment and half painted walls and it’s clear they didn’t spend any time preparing the rooms and didn’t use the money to clean it. Good luck if you need anything fixed in your apartment or if you don’t have furniture most students didn’t get furnished apartments until the spring when the furniture that was promised finally came in. Add in living next to the train tracks and you’re better off living anywhere else on campus. When it came time for move out we left the place in much better shape than we received it but that didn’t stop state from billing us for paint charges for a room we got that was two different colors, or charging us $233 dollars each for a fully functioning microwave which we have pictures of fully cleaned which also is funny when you can find the same microwave $260 online in any store. So if you or your child is looking to move into an embarrassment of an apartment complex where all they care about is the bottom line sign your lease at state on campus today!

I have really enjoyed living here the last two years. The location is in really good proximity to campus, and I love having the pool. Maintenance is always quick to fulfill my request, and the new staff has really helped create a more comfortable environment. Roman is always super helpful, and even stops by to see how i’m doing ever now and then.
