I order nachos with briscket to pick up. I got a text that my food was ready. When I got there food was not ready and they asked me they run out of brisket and they put steak instead. AFTER A FEW MINUTES they told me again they run out of guacamole. And got my order that way. I'm disappointed with the service and they charge me for something i didn't order. I wanna give a 0 star review. Cashier not even an apology or offering a partial refund. No good coustomer service.

Cafe Rio CHALLENGE: order a Quesadilla with rice and beans without getting charged for the rice and beans that as clearly stated in all the printed menus should come with all menu items, including the quesadilla. Every time I come here it’s a hassle, and needlessly so. Very dumb unwritten rule/ poor business practice.

Really nice place. Very friendly staff and the good alternative to Chipotle. If I was to have one critique on the food is that their sauces could be a bit spicier for my taste but that's a personal preference. Portion sizes are quite generous.

Came down for taco tuesday, we had the Carne Asada and some Carnitas tacos with Queso dip n Chips. On tuesday you can add rice and beans + drink for $2 extra. You can easily come here on a Tuesday and have a meal for about 15-20 if you do it right. The staff is nice and friendly

Cafe Rio I expected might be a sit down place but was a lot more like a fancy chipotle. The portions are huge if you get a quesadilla or nachos. Beverage choices also plentiful. The thing tho is there wasn't anything special that stood out about the food or experience otherwise I might have given that last star.

I live closer to the irvine location but I prefer this tustin location because of the staff and speedy service. Lauren and Lucy are always upbeat and cheerful with a contagious smile. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the refreshing mint limeade. Great food great staff equals great dining experience 👌

Always a good experience. I come every week for taco Tuesday at lunch and the staff is efficient and friendly. There is usually a long line but you can’t beat this deal for the delicious food!

I have been to many Cafe Rios, and this is my favorite by a country mile. The team here is always efficient, kind and helpful. I never caught the name of the young gentleman up front but he has a electric energy about him and the vibe is always right. Get your dang food here guys.

Great experience tonight for our family dinner. We came to the Tustin location off of Irvine Blvd. for Taco Tuesday and The food was amazing & fresh. We also had Awesome customer service from Lucy and Austin, They truly made it a wonderful night. They were friendly and pleasant. Honestly with such a great staff, They need a raise! The food at Cafe Rio is so delicious, no matter what you order. My favorite food is tacos and I love going to their Taco Tuesday! Their Pork Barbacoa tacos are so, so yummy! Their fresh lime pie is the best dessert!! The chips with Pico de Gallo or salsa which I always order to take home so good!!! I really love their cold drinks, my favorite being iced tea and their finely crushed ice is amazing. Keeps your drinks so cold. They are so helpful with an always friendly smile. Sometimes I order it to go and sometimes I eat in. They have tables inside and on patio.

second time I order the salad online and it has been an incredible experience! It looks like an open burrito with a lot of fresh salad, well-seasoned rice and beans, pico, fresh cheese... the only thing that bothers me is the brown guacamole that looks like it wasn't fresh. but this is something that can be fixed. I'm Brazilian and I really miss being able to eat delicious rice and beans every day, and this was the only place that managed to satisfy that desire. I will definitely come back several times to eat and try other things on the menu. Highly recommend!!

We had a great experience here. You're ordering for Easter brunch and was easy to place an order order online. As well as the food was prepared very quickly. I have been to other Cafe Rio locations but I would say that this one was by far the best chips of any of the other locations.

The food is great but the online orders constantly take to long. Been to this location multiple times and the take out always takes long there is a lack of attention in this area recommend coming in to get your food. Update: and the icing on the cake was my food was actually incorrect I got someone else’s food even though my name was on on receipt!

A little pricey, but they've seemed to be the only thing open til 10pm. Staff is young and lots of energy... also very diverse set of people working here. Food tastes great and even though it's a bit pricey, it come with a large enough portion to justify the cost. I've been here a few times with my girlfriend and my dog... they both love it here too

So excited to have coconut shrimp tacos back for a special.. I came in and was served by Laura, as she was making my taco I complimented her and she said "I make them the way I like them if I were eating them". I was checking out, and they had run out of the mango salsa that goes on the coconut shrimp. I was disappointed, Chris, the cashier, said there might be some fresh mango in the fridge. Laura went back and got me a portion. I was very impressed by the problem solving, and the customer satisfaction benchmark. I give Chris and Laura a 10/10 😀

Disgrace to Mexican food and culture. Seasoning is almost non existent, and ingredients are not cut/diced properly. Maybe a decent choice for someone who’s sensitive to spices/flavor, otherwise wouldn’t recommend.

The food is still tasty and of high quality after all these years. Great new tables! I hate the point-of-sale machine. It's one of those that displays its own logo bigger than the numbers and instructions.

Smells delicious in there!! I ordered the enchilada combo. The red sauce is very tasty, serving size was filling and hearty. I also ordered the chips, salsa and guacamole. The chips were great, nice and crunchy and they give you plenty. Staff was awesome and friendly. 😀

I’m giving 4 stars instead of 3 because I’m hoping my experience today was just because the restaurant seems understaffed, and some of the staff there seem new. The food was ok, may have been better if some of it wasn’t so cold by the time it was eaten. I submitted a large order the night before through the website. (6 entrees, 2 appetizers, 1 dessert, some extra sides, extra sauces, 1 drink). Arrived at pickup time, about 1.5 hours after opening, during lunch, and the staff was a little busy. Received the bag for my order, immediately noticed it was only about half my order (4 entrees, 1 set of extra sides, everything else missing). Finally got a staff to notice us standing there to ask about the rest. They had to go prepare it. Brought my bag back, I went through it again . I noticed it was still missing both appetizers, the extra sauces, and the dessert. Got staff attention again, they went to prepare the rest. The restaurant was noticeably busier, especially the pickup line. By this time, we’d been in the pickup area for half an hour. Grabbed our bags (we had to ask for a second bag because the staff kept filling the first bag and too many items to comfortably hold the handles. Also a bag for the extra sauces because two of the plastic containers were not closed properly and started to leak, and I was afraid they’d do it again). Got to our family gathering, sorted out the food, and realized I was still missing 1 side of beans, 1 of rice, extra tortillas, and the extra tomatillo sauce. These extra added up to less than $10, but still, something is paid for. Also on some entrees had requested no guacamole or sour cream, or put it on the side, yet they were right there on the entrees. Definitely will always double-check orders on pickup, and will only do small orders in the futur from here.

Good fresh food with very large portions. Plenty of seating. The food and meat is fresh. Also the tortillas are made fresh to order. There are many options to choose from. You can have, salads, tacos. Burritos, Tostadas or what ever you want to create. They also have your tesoros Mexican aguas frescas. The only draw back is that it may take a while to get your food off the is a line. Also the salsa is fresh as well.
