Usually
a
pleasant
experience
for
checkups,
however,
this
time
felt
a
little
odd.
Any
time
I
leave
the
house
during
COVID
period
is
already
a
stressful,
anxiety
induced
time
for
me
personally
because
I
do
my
due
diligence
to
remain
healthy.
My
doctor
wanted
to
check
up
on
a
few
things
so
I
came
in
for
an
appointment.
I
arrived
early
to
my
2pm
appointment
and
they
were
doing
temperature
checks
at
the
door.
Okay,
standard,
but
if
you
remember
anything
about
Labor
Day
weekend,
it
was
HOT
everywhere.
I
checked
in
at
100
degrees.
The
lady
at
the
front
seemed
flustered,
so
she
asked
me
to
stand
to
the
side.
The
next
three
patrons
were
allowed
to
enter
without
issues.
1)
father
and
son
both
registered
at
the
same
temperature,
100
degrees.
I
was
maybe
8
feet
away
and
heard
her
comment
(rather,
an
excuse)
that
it
was
hot
outside
and
gave
them
a
screened
sticker,
They
did
not
wait.
2)
An
employee
came
back
from
lunch
and
was
not
screened.
Person
was
not
screened
since
they
were
an
employee,
so
person
did
not
wait.
3)
A
woman
walked
up
and
I
canât
remember
if
she
entered
before
me
or
not,
but
she
was
allowed
to
enter
without
issue.
I
waited
on
the
sidelines
to
âcool
downâ
for
about
5
minutes.
I
wasnât
counting
and
honestly,
I
was
still
reeling
from
shock
at
whether
I
was
discriminated
against
or
not.
I
was
the
only
person
that
had
to
wait
and
âcool
offâ.
She
rechecked
my
temperature
and
it
read
as
99
degrees
and
gave
me
a
screened
sticker.
At
this
point,
I
really
just
wanted
to
proceed
with
my
appointment
and
leave.
That
was
a
first
I
have
experienced
during
COVID
EVER
and
it
makes
me
want
to
avoid
Kaiser
for
the
foreseeable
future.
