It
might
work
with
some
tourists
from
overseas,
with
all
due
respect
to
you
all,
but
it
really
needs
improvement.
It
is
heavily
and
completely
unnecessarily
stylized
as
"authentic
Yiddish
place",
just
too
many
tchotchkes,
photographs,
heavy
dark
furniture
and
the
obligatory
"Menora
on
duty".
Generally
very
dark,
almost
gloomy
interior.
Tykocin
is
a
sacred
place,
a
place
with
very
old
and
very
dramatic/tragic
at
times
history.
There
is
no
need
for
a
restaurant
to
jump
on
the
Yiddish
wagon
too.
The
food
is
plain,
rather
tasteless,
cooked
with
very
little
real
care
for
TRADITION,
this
cellar-type
of
restaurant
tries
so
hard
to
convey.
It
is
truly
inexpensive,
so
if
you
are
tired
and
hungry
you
might
be
ok
with
this
place.
I
won't
go
there
again.
I
was
greatly
disappointed
by
the
fact
that
a
restaurant
in
such
a
location
spent
99.9%
of
the
effort
and
money
on
overdecorating
this
place
in
the
worst
commercialized
way,
and
only
0.1%
on
finding
REAL,
LOCAL
food
recipes
of
the
generation
upon
generation
of
Jews
from
this
area.
I
tasted
some
of
the
items
from
the
menu
and
NONE
was
satisfactory.
