Popped over by a friend's recommendation and did not leave disappointed. I had a cymes świąteczny with kugel and fantastic borscht. Food was very nice, with good sized portions.Variety was great and kids loved the pierogi with blueberries. Will certainly come again if around again! Very well priced but one star less for lack of card payment option, putting you in an awkward situation if not prepared for it.

It might work with some tourists from overseas, with all due respect to you all, but it really needs improvement. It is heavily and completely unnecessarily stylized as "authentic Yiddish place", just too many tchotchkes, photographs, heavy dark furniture and the obligatory "Menora on duty". Generally very dark, almost gloomy interior. Tykocin is a sacred place, a place with very old and very dramatic/tragic at times history. There is no need for a restaurant to jump on the Yiddish wagon too. The food is plain, rather tasteless, cooked with very little real care for TRADITION, this cellar-type of restaurant tries so hard to convey. It is truly inexpensive, so if you are tired and hungry you might be ok with this place. I won't go there again. I was greatly disappointed by the fact that a restaurant in such a location spent 99.9% of the effort and money on overdecorating this place in the worst commercialized way, and only 0.1% on finding REAL, LOCAL food recipes of the generation upon generation of Jews from this area. I tasted some of the items from the menu and NONE was satisfactory. 😔

Nice traditional Polish-Jewish place with cheap food and beer. I had a pierogi with sour cream and baked onion and it was really delicious, and a Vilnius pale ale to wash it down with.

Best place to get Jewish cousin. I mean, the meals are big, the price is right. And the climate is there. You couldn't get anything better in this style for miles.

Great Jewish meals. Everything what we had was just amazing. Nice mulled wine and soup. Recommend it.

Great place to try "Cymes" and other Jewish recipes.

Great food, good service, strange guests. We got in on our 3rd try, and someone has broken down the doors to the man's room. Maybe not the owner's fault, bit noteworthy. Also they specialize in events, so even though we are booked, we were seated outside

No doubt that that's the best restaurant in the town
