We were waiting for the table around 10 minutes, quite long queue formed behind us but staff didn’t worry about it at all. They were sneaking around like we didn’t exist. Rude waiter on the terrace said that there were no free tables and then let people in skipping the line. When we finally got the table, we had 15-20 mins to choose other place to eat and left. Cannot recommend this experience.

Avoid if you're with kids!!! I would have given 0 if that was possible. We took the tour with kids and as any kid would be curious and would ask questions, the guide (which you are compiled to take for the visit) asked us to make the kid shut up in a rude way...

The biggest boot car sale in Poland, you can find plenty of antiques. It runs first weekend of the month. You can expect long waiting to get there, quite busy and single road.

The worst food I’ve ever experienced if you like dinner from microwave this is place for You , restrooms smells like no body clean them since they build that place .

As we arrived, my Czech friend exclaimed, “We’re staying in a castle! We’re really staying in a castle!” I said, “What? You didn’t believe me? I told you we were staying in a castle.” He replied, “I just thought you were being American and that it was just some place decorated like a castle.” Tykocin Castle is still being reconstructed, but much of it is already complete. You can see in places the original foundation, and it’s been rebuilt based on actual plans. It really is a castle. We reserved a twin room, and it was perfect for our needs. Simple but clean with plenty of space. My only problem was that there were 6 bottles of shampoo but no hand soap. Oh well, shampoo can also wash hands. Since we were there in October, the castle was quiet with very few guests or staff. It’s also quite rural, so I would never expect huge crowds. We had an excellent dinner at the castle restaurant and loved every dish. There was also a large breakfast that we couldn’t even finish. I will try to return to Tykocin Castle in the future.

If you don't speak polish - don't bother going. They do not have any information in English and you can't visit the castle on your own - only with a polish speaking guide. Very disappointing.

gorgeous castle, but you can only enter with a guide and the guide is only in Polish - not very foreigner friendly.

There two rooms, one in the basement and one on the top floor (ball room). Castle has been reconstructed from the ground up.

The castle is entirely rebuilt to its XVIth century glory from ruins. Normally this would make it a fake sight but the 45min tour discussing the history and political background more than makes up for it. It's also a nice subtle reminder that this used to be the center of Polish/Lithuanian kingdom of old.

Bad experience. The tours are only in Polish, we drove two hours just to hear that... You also cannot take a look inside without guide, absurd.. Didn't try the food. Plenty of parking.

Dining and/or staying overnight at a partially reconstructed castle is an amazingly unique experience in itself. Now top it off with superb food and an amazing location by a picturesque river and a wondrous historical town, and you get something truly magical.

I often come back to this little Jewish town each year, but this year I decided to invest a little more time and enjoy the castle, I wouldn't recommend paying for the tour, as you don't get much out of it, but the castle itself is in a pretty location and the restaurant inside has some lovely Polish traditional dishes.

Lovely but we didn't go inside because they had no information in English and they only have a guide who speaks Polish. In order to find out anything about the castle, you need to book a guide in advice. It's a shame, it is a beautiful castle.

Cool castle and small restaurant, too bad they don't offer many tours in English (I got to translate for my wife). Tasty beer and local food.

Good experience. The castle is not finished yet but the owner seems to be very passionate about the project. The local historian doing the tour seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Please note that this is a reconstruction and not the original castle, nonetheless it has some very interesting history behind it.

We didn't go inside because the dog couldn't come. But we took food from there and I can definitely recommend them.

Great experience. History of Polish and Lithuanian friendship. Nice castle, beautiful city, great food in restaurant.

It's a beautiful place, but if you want to enter the castle you can't do it without the tourist guide, who does not speaks English. So, you have to listen to the information in Polish and it's very boring if you don't understand anything. So, I couldn't fully enjoy it.

They have updated their menu. Food is great. If it's very hot outside, you find a cool shelter in the castle where you can eat and drink.

The castle is in a process of being rebuilt; currently about half is finished and opened for a tour with a guide. The tour was very informative - I admit I didn't know the castle's history. They also have good restaurant and a small café outside.

Very tasty and affordable menu. Had a delicious soup, veal stew and chebureki - all very delicious.

Very nice attraction - tour of museum in Polish only, but very cool even for non-Polish speakers to see the work they are doing to re-build this historic location.

Closed on the time of visit, but it was know on the website and on the castle itself. Looked nice, but recommend to get something windproof since it's on little hill.
