Don’t think twice about going here, just go! You will not regret it. This cooking class is excellent. The owner welcomes you into her traditional Balinese home (which is beautiful). She is hilariously funny and teaches you about all the food and recipes as you get involved with making the meal. Everyone works together and it is a great way to get talking to other people. You get a bintang and bottled water while you sit down to enjoy the meal at the table. The food is so delicious, up there with the best food I have ever had!

I’ve done a lot of cooking classes and this was by far one of the best ones! Incredibly well organized and run. There is plenty of staff helping you and supervising you so you actually learn the dishes. You switch roles fairly often so you never get bored. The owner does a great job at setting a gregarious atmosphere. We had a lot of fun, made some new friends, and everything we made was incredibly yummy! Bonus points, the owner’s house is incredibly beautiful! Local Ubud business, go support them! ❤️

We really enjoyed this cooking class, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Puspa and her husband have a beautiful home, they will welcome you with a warm smile and a good sense of humour. You prepare the food altogether as a group and then eat it at the end. It was one of the best meals we had in Bali. The trip to the food market in the morning was interesting too. Highly recommended!

Great experience. Cooking in a group and you get to try preparing a bit of everything. There was so much food to eat as you make about 8 Balinese dishes and it was all delicious. A driver also came to pick us up and the staff were so helpful throughout the cooking class. The host was welcoming and funny. Would recommend!

Worth coming to learn Balinese cooking. I wasn't expecting much so this came as a pleasant surprise. Puspa is lively, humourous, and very generous to teach her students. She has a passion for good food and cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed learning and eating the food we cooked 😋 Taste is amazing... Highly recommend to join her class if you visit ubud. You won't regret it 😉

Very nicely done morning class. They organise a free hotel pickup and drop facility. Started with a market visit and an explanation of some local foods and fruits. Then we reached Ms. Pushpa (teacher) beautiful family home of 3 generations on the outskirts of the Ubud Markets. Lovely home and family temple. The cooking class was well organised and the team made sure we had the right ingredients and utensils. It was pretty much hands on with us cooking. Very reasonably priced. Our kids (8 and 11) enjoyed it a lot and they were the main chefs for our group 😀 we made around 9 dishes and now looking forward to trying it at home. Don't miss this on your Bali holiday!

It was a very interactive class which made it a lot of fun and the food was delicious! And at the end of class we all got to take a recipe book home. Highly recommend when you are in Ubud!

Way beyond my expectations, I highly recommend! Paon the owner was so funny and professional, the food we made (vegan) was the best Balinese food I’ve eaten, and she kept in mind to fry the vegan dishes before/separate to the non-vegan so that they wouldn’t mix and the hygiene was very important like washing hands and wearing gloves for mixing spices. I really loved this, me and my wife had such a great experience. Thank you!

don’t waste your time debating whether or not this cooking class is worth it or not, because it for sure is. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it, from going to the market and learning about the different fruits and vegetables they have, and then learning step by step how to execute each dish. it was very hands on, educational, and comical too as the instructor is super sweet and has a sense of humor 🙂 overall the experience was totally worth it and The food was delicious 👍🏻 don’t even hesitate - book a class now

Great cooking class for beginners. They pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the end. You will chop/slice ingredients, make skewers, make banana leaf packet, grind things in a giant mortar and pestle, and do some stir frying. And the best part is eating it all.

Beautiful home and wonderful welcome by the hostess and her friendly staff. The cooking lesson a fun and informative and the best part of course was eating the results. Fresh and tasty flavours. Highly recommended for a half day activity in Ubud.

Including a trip to a market to understand local fruits, vegetables and spices, this has been one of the highlights of my return visit to Ubud. Super friendly and talented hosts and staff with impeccable cleanliness and consideration for their guests. It’s hands on and a smorgasbord of food that encompasses all that Bali has to offer. Very highly recommended 🙏🏻

One of the best experiences we had in Bali. Everything was cooked from fresh and everything about the food was explained very well. At most important their was plenty of food to eat (and seconds) at the end. The yellow sauce that we made was incredible. We had a vegan and a celiac in our party which they catered for very well. Great value for money and they also have a recipe book for free

The best experience ever! This cooking class is in a small village at the teachers home. Everyone is so welcoming and sweet. The teacher is a beautiful, kind, funny and helpful woman. We made different dishes which tasted amazing. Thank you so much for everything ❤️🙏

A well-organised Balinese cooking class in a lovely green location. They pick up and drop off in Ubud. Started out with a market visit (where I bought snacks and saffron). At Paon you could also visit their temple. We were part of a group of 12, and after the owner Puspa explained the ingredients to us her staff took over the instruction and supervision. A good selection of dishes and they tasted very good too. It was a good family activity for us with adult children.

Had a great time at this cooking class in Ubud! The staff was super professional and funny also, I couldn’t stop laughing. The accomodation is beautiful in a traditional Balinese home. Learned a lot of new skills, about ingredients and dishes. Highly recommended!

We did the cooking class this morning. Wayan picked us up on time and drove to the market where he explained about a lot of fruits, vegetables and spices. We then drove to the cooking class at the beautiful house of Puspa, who owns the business. We went upstairs to look at the family temple and then went to cook. The cooking area is large and well set out. The girls who help to explain and show you the techniques and what to do are friendly and efficient. We made a variety of dishes that were all delicious. It was the best meals I’ve eaten in Bali. Actually it was the best activity I’ve done in Bali. You are given a booklet that has all the recipes. Highly recommend this cooking class.

We had such an amazing few hours with Puspa and her wonderful team! She is so much fun and such a riot. The class is easy to follow with lots of hands-on cooking and omg the food was to die for. It was lovely eating and chatting with the other attendees. 100% catered for us as vegans too which was the best part. Highly recommended!

Paon's class was fun and she made it all so easy. We've been wanting to know how to make some of these dishes so it was great to learn from such a great teacher. Her place is beautiful and very clean, and the food was so delicious. Definitely recommend this experience.

My partner and I had a cooking class there this morning and we had an amazing time. We learnt how to cook different Balinese dishes from start to finish and the food was delicious! It was a great way to spend a few hours and I would highly recommend doing this activity. They also give you a copy of all the recipes when you leave 😊

Really great cooking class, lovely team. Very welcoming, friendly and funny. Super easy to follow every step. We’ve made many dishes in 3 hours. The pace was good & learned a lot. At the end we are together with all participants. It was so so good 👌 we would highly recommend you to go here!

A fantastic experience when visiting Bali!! The class was done perfectly, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and everyone worked together. The food was to die for, we can’t wait to remake these recipes when we’re back home. They cater to all sorts of dietary restrictions as well, perfect for myself as pescatarian.

My first cooking class experience and this was fantastic! Puspa is so funny and all of the staff are so kind and knowledgable. The class is based in their family home and it was great to learn about the Balinese culture and significance of their family temples. The food was excellent and great to have a take away recipe book to try the dishes at home. Little tips for replacement for easily sourced western ingredients was super helpful. Thank you for such a great morning :)

Must go! Puspa and her staff were very kind and funny. They were very welcoming from the start and even showed us around their beautiful traditional Balinesian home and family temple. The information and instructions were great, and the food we cooked was extremely tasty. One of the people we were paired with was vegetarian, and great care was taken to make sure any of the dishes containing meat or meat products were not combined. We received the recipes for all the food we cooked to take home with us. Would recommend this to anyone coming to Bali as a must do!

It was lovely to be welcomed into a home with a cold drink and to see the family temple. It was also great to taste authentic Indonesian food and to get pdf copies of the recipes. I also met some great people here. I do wish that the cooking class was smaller and that it wasn't so rushed. It felt like we were on a schedule and most of the cooking was being done by the helpful staff. It's a good experience but there are things that could make it better. NB: would recommend getting a car here. We walked from Ubud centre and it isn't recommended!

Prepare your own authentic Balinese meal! A great experience and learn how it is all prepared; much more than you think. Under the supervision of an experienced Balinese cook you will prepare your lunch. Staff is there to help you so it cannot fail. Especially great for families or groups. We had a great time and a perfect lunch!!! Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic! I wanted a traditional Balinese cooking class which wasn’t a tourist trap and one delivered by a local. This experience was brilliant. Very well organized, clear instructions, plenty of space to cook, clear instructions and support. The food was absolutely delicious. Any questions I had the team were responsive via text swiftly. As a picky traveller, I would recommend Paon Bali. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and an extra one for good luck ⭐️
