Nice little restaurant with a genuine Italian feel. The decor is nice, modern and clean. The seating on the top balcony is a nice treat but the view is not very photogenic and with the traffic it’s a tad noisy. Still a nice place to sit and watch the world go by. The pasta is homemade and tasted fresh. Huge selection on the menu to choose from. Probably one of the biggest menus [variety] in Bali. The pizza was burnt a tad and salty but edible. It won’t win awards. The pasta dish went down a treat and was very nice. No soap in the toilets which is alarming as it’s a shared singular toilet between everyone in the restaurant. It was quickly replaced but not ideal. The staff are friendly and welcoming; smiling both when we entered and left. They took the time to talk to guests and the service was good.

Good vibe and good food! It’s a perfect place for couple dining and the environment is kinda romantic yet a bit dark. It’s no doubt you can find authentic Italian dishes in here. We had a classic carbonara, mushroom risotto & Marinara pizza. The food was cheesy, fragrant & so creamy. The pizza was nicely baked and made with fresh tomatoes, cheese, basil & garlic.

Book before you go, or you will wait 40 to 60 minutes. This restaurant is super busy, and is constantly fully seated. The staff is very efficient and courteous. They try to make us comfortable while waiting. And their table service is very fast, hardly had to wait for the food. The pizza is the sourdough type, when I prefer the crispy crust type. It is really tasty but just not my cup of tea. Also had the spadetella, which was really delicious, wanted to like the plate. Just wish I had more space in the stomach to try other dishes on the menu. Hopefully they will add the crispy crust in the future.

Best pizza ever ! We went there for late diner in family, the staff is very friendly and helpful and all the food was very nice and tasty. They make Neapolitan pizza with sourdough dough, simply the best pizza I had so far, crispy and so tasty crust. Their drinks also are good. Very recomended👍

It's a good place for Italian food when you are really craving it and wants something for a change but I am not ready to say that this is the best Italian I had. It filled a gap when were craving Italian food but I would not return if I want authentic Italian food. We ordered pasta and pizza, which were both good, nothing exceptional. The wait can be long as it is a popular place and expect it to be crowded. Fries and mayo were a must!

Lots of my friends asked me here is a must try and yes, i glad I did. The Pizza is amazing even the thickest pizza crust is also soft and chewy, making it irresistible. The tomato sauce fills the dumpling with flavor. I definitely will come and try other cruises again. One more thing, even I asked lots of questions about the recommendations, the employees here are patient and nice. They provided the great service.

We had a really enjoyable experience. The restaurant was busy but we were quickly seated upstairs. Service surprisingly quick given how busy it was. The spicy-salami pizza delicious ( not as spicy expected 😉) and a salad crispy. Beer glasses chilled and fresh glasses with each beer - not essential but appreciated.

I was craving Italian food, so I soon as I Googled Italian this place came up. But I couldn't get a table until my last night because if you don't make a reservation there's no way you can get a spot. That was a sign that the food must be good. And it's true - the food is delicious. The price is reasonable! If you are craving Italian make sure you make a reservation and go satisfy your palate.

*Updated Review* I’m updating my review because we came here during dinner time and the service and food was a lot better. I don’t know if it was due to different staff or just our perspective but the food and service was amazing. This has become one of our favorite restaurants in Ubud. *Old Review* This place has the potential of receiving a 5 star but the service was slacking. I personally don’t like it when they don’t serve all the food at the same time. We had to wait 20 minutes for the pizza to come out while the spaghetti was getting cold. My wife had to wait for her food, while I was trying to eat as slowly as possible. Additional, it took us asking 3 servers to get the check. Because the first 2 apparently forgot. As for the food, it was pretty good, we got the spaghetti bolognese and veggies pizza. The dough on the pizza was amazing. However, the veggies on top were bland and not seasoned.

The food options were great! The gluten free stuff was not on there , but I found some rice that was amazing too. The Nutella pizza was delicious and the staff gave us samples of the special drink . Loved the menu design!

The food is great and yummy, the price is affordable (we spent almost 1 million rupiah for both of us), Staff are friendly. Make sure you booked, as so much queue for this restaurant if you just walk in. Easy to book, just go to their website and found a chat sign through WhatsApp. The only thing I don't like was the environment as we got a table quite close to a busy road, noisy and think of smoke. I guess would be different if a bit inside or upstairs but we surely will be back again and will try a different table 😁

Had the chance to visit this place because its one of the few places that are open after 10pm in Ubud area. Expect to be in the waiting list if you are a walk in customer like me, but the wait time is fairly short. I was very happy that they are really thoughtful as to offer Halal and Vegan options. One of the male staff was super friendly, explained the menu thoroughly, and made sure we enjoyed the meal throughout the visit. Most of the ingredients are super fresh and it tasted home made I think? Such as the sourdough pizza & pasta.. It was so good!

To be frank, as someone who has experienced pizza well in Italy, I have not seen a taste as good as it is exaggerated. I think the pizza was very thin and the ingredients were few. I think there are places in Ubud that make it much better. Pasta and risotto were nice. The environment and ambience is sweet, I think it is a bit of a touristic place, unfortunately there is no air conditioning, but you can go and have a sweet dinner.

Food is excellent, we kept coming back. Living 10 years in Italy this restaurant is beyond my expectations, better Italian food than at many places in Italy, reasonable prices and friendly staff. I recommend pizzas and gnocchi as that’s what we ate. I saw others eating risotto which looked great too

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their service was impeccable, and they went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. But what truly stole the show was the pizza. It was nothing short of amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the crust was just the right amount of crispy, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left me craving for more. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place with friendly staff, top-notch service, and, of course, some of the best pizza you'll ever taste. It's a must-visit for pizza lovers!

Amazing Italian restaurant! Was so good we went twice 👀 Had the vegan ham and artichoke pizza (with added pineapple) the first time, with some sparkling wine to drink and it was amazing. Second time had the vegan hawaiian and it was even better. Great atmosphere and lovely staff too :)

Great Italian restaurant as you enter central Ubud from the south. Nice menu with authentic dishes. The atmosphere is a little noisy with it being right on the corner of Monkey Forest road, but it's not a deal breaker if you're looking for Italian. I had a pizza and switched my cheese out for lactose free cheese. The cook from the pizza oven was lovely. The tomato base flavour was a little thin and missed some acidic notes. There was fresh basil that lifted the overall bite. The sourdough was nicely worked, spongy yet crisp on the edges and Italian style across the rest of the pizza. There are some nice pasta options and a reasonable wine menu. I would eat here again, no problems.

Beautiful food, couldn’t fault it at all. The food was so nice that we came back another night. Pizza was delicious and their pesto pasta was fabulous and also tried one of their pasta specials which was also perfect. Staff were friendly and helped with any request. We got caught in a thunder storm just as we finished paying and staff were friendly enough to allow us to sit down again and wait it out!

Let's put it this way...I ate there 7 times in 3.5 days. Yes, it is that good! Had dinner one night be myself , and was so happy I (and my sister) went back for lunch (pizza/appetizers) and dinner for the next three days. I had the burratta app, the Arancini (multiple times), all three carpaccios (the octopus three times), the Caprese salad, the mussels and clams, the gnocchi, three pizzas, the Caccio e pepe, the duck ragu with Tagliatelle, the duck & chicken Bolognese with Paparedelle (a special one night), the pasta Puttanesca (another nightly special) and bottle after bottle of the homemade Arancello (like Limoncello, but orange flavored. And only $6 US per BOTTLE). Homemade sourdough bread was awesome. Neopolitan pizzas cooked to perfection in a very hot brick oven. Four kinds of homemade liqueurs (Arancello, Limoncello, coffee/tiramisu, and almond) were all exceptional. Everything was basically perfect, every time. And the service was excellent (thank you Wira and all your wonderful staff). I was so impressed the first night that I blurted out to my waitress "I think I love you!" It really was THAT good. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the atmosphere. I was in Venice a few weeks prior, and in Rome two years ago and this place would stand out even in those places. This is authentic Italian cuisine at its best, IMHO. If you get the chance, GO. You can thank me later. Note: reservations are recommended for dinner. I was there in the slow season and they were still full every night, even mid-week. Upstairs is very nice, but there's not a bad seat in the house...

We came for the pizza and a break from local foods. We shared the Mediterranean salad and a Diavolo pizza. The salad was an ok size and it had a nice mix of salad greens but not much else. The pizza had a good flavourful crust, which is important to me and I enjoyed it. However, the toppings were skimpy, with some pieces getting missed of anything but cheese. The tomato sauce base was good and complimented the sourdough crust. We sat downstairs which was a bit hectic and noisy, perhaps upstairs would be more enjoyable. Service was very prompt to a bit pushy at the beginning and then faded into difficult to find after dishes arrived. Overall an ok experience and acceptable pizza when needing that fix.

I went to this lovely Italian restaurant craving an authentic pizza. L'Osteria definitely delivered. I ordered a pizza Capricciosa 124.000 with a sparkling water 35.000 Total bill with tax and service charge was 185.000 The pizza was so delicious, I ate it all. Which I usually never do. The pizza dough, crust was so light and the flavours were authentic. One of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy. The only thing that I didn't like was the noise of the road. It's right next to the main road. But the food is so good, I definitely recommend going to L'Osteria if you love Italian food.

Ordered duck tagliatelle, pumpkin ravioli and a bruschetta. Both pastas were amazing only the portion sizes could have been slightly bigger. Service was good. Lots of people in the restaurant and line was forming out the front so I would recommend booking a table.

The food here is amazing. Everything had such great flavor. The sourdough pizza crust was by far my favorite touch. The calamari was fresh and the brushetta was soft, but still had a nice crunch around the edges. The staff was also very accommodating. My group stumbled on this place and although we did not have a reservation, they allowed us to join their waiting list and seated us as soon as an extra table became available. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Nestled in the heart of Ubud, this charming restaurant boasts a delightful ambiance with a touch of Italian flair. The food is incredibly flavorful, reminiscent of authentic Italian cuisine. The use of fresh ingredients adds to the overall quality of the dishes, and the aromatic coffee is a true delight. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Their kindness and friendliness create a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. If you're looking for a pleasant location in Ubud to enjoy delicious food with an Italian twist, this restaurant is a fantastic choice.

Went for lunch here mid-week, was sat on a two seater table right by the road. Recommend a table away from the road as it’s quite busy. The restaurant was packed for lunch and had lots of great options to choose from. We went for the gnocchi and a ham and pineapple pizza, both were excellent. We also had a mango and watermelon juice which were freshly made and highly recommended. Overall great service and I would come back.

Truly delicious Italian food! They have an entire vegan menu!!! So exciting :) My Italian boyfriend said it’s the best pizza outside of Italy that he has tried. Recommended!! (My video really doesn’t do the pizza Justice but I was too hungry to take a better one 😂). Update: tried their vegan pesto and it was super delicious! The green beans and potatoes in it are kind of random but still the pesto is so good and tastes delicious :) Only downside of this place is that it’s pricey. Feels like I’m paying European prices.

The restaurant was very popular and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table so you might want to reserve a table beforehand. However when we finally got a table everything went smooth in terms of ordering and getting the food. The service was really good, but the food was a little bland to our taste. It would be nice with a little more seasoning. I would really recommend the slow-cooked aubergine dish for a starter. It was very tasty!!!

The most authentic Italian restaurant in Ubud! We have been coming back to this place everytime we came to Ubud. Pasta is fresh home made, all the ingredients is fresh. Everything is well-cooked and well-seasoned. The dessert and drinks also super good. Please be aware that they are always busy. It is either you come at uncommon hours or you will wait at least half an hour to be seated. Other than the good food, service has always been excelent!

This place has been my go-to for genuine Italian pizza since 2020, and the taste has remained consistently exceptional. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand, as it tends to get crowded during lunch and dinner hours. The flavors are rich, the crust is crispy, and the experience is consistently satisfying. Additionally, don't forget to try their homemade liquors. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the Cappuccino Cello or Almond Cello. They offer a delightful blend of flavors. If you're feeling adventurous, they also have other options like Limoncello, providing a refreshing twist to your dining experience.
