We were charged in advanced, when we entered the room the stench was incredible. We couldn't stay inside the room for more than 5 minutes. Furthermore, we told the staff that no one could stay in that room because of the disgusting odor, it smelled like a million wet towels, but they say they couldn't smell anything wrong. We even asked some other guest to enter just to check, and they concurred that we couldn't stay there, it was unhealthy. There weren't any more rooms there Therefore we had to look a different place to stay the night. The staff knew this and just laughed when we told them. They didn't even try to reimburse us or anything similar. Just for extra info: the room was on ground floor next to the pool, I was told but the same guests that helped us that rooms in upper floors did not stink. This was the most unpleasant stay we had in one month in Ubud. The owner says that the stench was due to the room recently cleaning but it was not , we came back a couple of times during the day and it was actually worst .

We had an amazing stay at Kunang Kunang Guest house. The staff were super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable, sheets were soft and pillows has a variety of size for whatever your preference is. There was a wardrobe so we could ‘unpack’ and felt settled here. Our room was upstairs and had a private balcony over the rice fields, so beautiful. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended for 2 more nights (in total 8 nights) and we hired one of their bikes for the duration of our stay. Thank you for having us! We will definitely be back in the future :)

It's a nice, clean and quiet place in the Ubud centre, near a small rice field. Small swimming pool is great to cool yourself on a hot day or just relax. The rooms are basic, bith with a fridge. Rooms look great with an oriental style. The toilet bathroom could be better though, but it's functional.

What a wonderful guesthouse, set back off the busy street in the beautiful lush green space of Ubud. The breakfast is yummy and the staff are the best part! They were so friendly and accommodating, we will be back. The pool was clean and rooms were spacious with balcony space. Thank you Kun Kun!

My family enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean, very hot shower, the house, the view and the pool was breathtaking.

This place is wonderful. Walking distance to monkey forrest and ubud markets. Lots of shops close by. The room is a great price especially with breakfast included.

We stayed here in March '23 for the second time, the last time was in 2018. Still a lovely guesthouse with very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Bathroom has aged a little but everything works very well… Though very central in Ubud it is a quiet place next to a rice field and without traffic noise - you might be woken by loudly singing birds, though. The small pool is pure bliss after a hot and humid day exploring the region. They even have space for parking a rented motorbike. Price was great value and we will definitely come back when/if we find ourselves heading to Ubud again.

I stayed here for over a month and highly recommend it. The rooms and the flower-full garden and surroundings (rice fields) are lovely and calming. The location is perfect for living in Ubud. The best part was the staff and family. In the middle of my stay, I went to Uluwatu for three nights; upon my return at 7pm, the staff was working in the rice field and came running (literally running) to help me with my bags. I had not told them what time I would arrive and didn’t expect them to help, but they carried my very heavy bags up three flights of stairs for me. They are so so kind. My room included breakfast, which is served from 8–10am. Because I would routinely go to yoga classes during that time, they would put my food in the fridge for me to eat later—so accommodating and generous. The wifi was solid and the room was cleaned every day., which I also greatly appreciate. It’s so nice to return to a clean room; it makes a big difference in how you feel. I hope to stay with this beautiful family again in their welcoming home.
