Negative reviews....... Hmmmm.......each to their own I guess. My partner and I came here after seeing a sign board that the State of Origin (rugby league) would be shown live. I had emailed the place for info and got a pretty prompt reply......this is Bali, prompt isn't usually in the vocabulary. Well, I'm glad that we tried out the MPS as we had a damn good time. The food that we had was great (beef quesadilla, Texas chilli) and we had started with the chilli taster bowl (my words, not theirs) and were pleasantly surprised. After that we ordered more food! Did it take a long time? Sure, but we were pre-warned that it would be a lengthy wait. We did end up asking if the food was on its way and we were given a pleasant response and the kitchen was checked, the food came not long after. Was a 45 minute wait an issue for a good hot meal? Hell no. The drinks selection here is phenomenal especially if you prefer something other than the usual Bintang bir. The porter is excellent if you like a good dark beer and it's excellent with the Texas chilli. My only critique with the chilli is that it needs more heat, but I know that most westerners in Bali can't handle anything beyond mild. So maybe it could be served up with a bottle of Tabasco or some sliced chilli's for those of us that aren't pussies. But, back to the beer....there are some great choices and the prices are reasonable especially for craft beers and imports. This place is pretty big with a good amount of entertainment on the screens and on the pool tables etc. I'm keen to have a go at the axe throwing, but maybe next time and before the beers. The music here is a great blend that reflects the setting, I felt right at home with a good mix of country, southern rock, soul and blues etc. If this place is not for you then it's not for you but don't whine and moan about the temperature, slow service and so on. If you expect western standards etc, go to a Western country for your holiday. This is Bali, jam karet dan tidak apa apa (sing ken ken). Thanks to the MPS crew for a great night, we'll be back for sure.

The owner seems very ignorant. He sits at the end of the bar and doesn't greet customers, not that there were many when we were in. The place was empty in fact. And I'm not surprised. The food was not good. There was one barmaid working and she also was the kitchen hand and cooked the food. The owner kept going in and out to the kitchen to what I assume was to hurry her up as he seemed to do no work himself. I think he needs to order a chef for food quality and be a bit more greeting at customers instead of sitting at the end of the bar. We are from Ireland so it's alien to us to encounter an unhelpful and unfriendly publican. They wouldn't last in business in Ireland and after reading the reviews of the melting pot I presume this man won't either. The barmaid was friendly and attentive and could not fault her at all. We just read thhis reply to bad reviews and I've never seen such unprofessional response. Anyway AVOID for your own sake.

Nice place for playing pool in Ubud area, with around 10 pool tables (if I'm not mistaken) and 1 table tennis. Not many original cocktail available, but you get pretty much what you need for hours of billiard play. For the pool table, the rate is IDR 60k per hour (dated 14 Oct 2022), understandable price for Bali. Cola and similar drinks cost 30K. Cocktails are about 90K. Nice spot with spacy parking!

Sullen owner creates an unwelcome feeling. Almost only people came in to watch the F1, but the big screen was not turned on for this. It is dark, warm, clammy, sticky and smoky inside. Filthy toilet, even by Balinese standards. Wouldn't want to eat anything there. After the race we left straight away. Zero points!

Great place to grab a fresh craft beer on tap. my best bet is IOI brewery. The saloon has a western atmosphere, when you get inside it's like teleporting from Bali to the wild west. many entertainment options from darts to ax throwing. I recommend! P.S. I couldn't find you on Instagram, I wanted to tag you.

Me and my friend were thrown out the Bar during the world cup for not ordering enough drinks. Owner was rude and clearly unstable. The staff was apparently angry because my friend had brought in an Icecream and my friend gladly stepped outside to finish his ice cream. Very bad experience all in all :(

First of all, the place is highly overpriced. Secondly you are asked to go outside to eat your dessert, because so are the rules (even though you have ordered drinks and the place don't serve dessert. And lastly the owner asked if we wanted to order more. After answering no we were asked to leave right away (funny because there were almost no costumers). It was like the menu said; "you need to order every 60 minutes if you don't want to be kicked out".

We’ve had two takeaways from here and decided to dine in today. Really loved the saloon style, food and great selection of drinks! The beef skewers and Mac n cheese were lovely, and my friends Veggie Quesadilla was great and apologies that he didn’t eat much of it, absolutely nothing wrong with it but he had already eaten before and I hadn’t but didn’t want me to eat alone haha. Lots of pool tables, darts, foosball, sky sports etc. lots of different places to sit for all party sizes, lovely attentive staff. A bit quiet but it’s a huge place and imagine it gets very lively in high season! Parking available (with the best parking billboard I’ve ever seen, plus a little one next to it, made me cry of laughter haha). Recommend!

So cool and unique place! I mean, a Saloon in middle of ubud -why not! The service is fast. You get drinks from anywhere in the world and liquors as well. We’d play pool and had a lots of fun. There are so many activities you could do. Need to check out when in ubud. Food is pretty standard but okay for snacking.

Good selection of drinks and plenty of pool tables! Affordable rates too, pay by the hour. Unfortunately staff and cleanliness let the place down. Staff were generally uninterested, 3 to 4 people behind the bar but you need to wave to get service. On one occasion has to order my drink three times before I received it, place wasn’t even busy. Additionally the place is absolutely filthy. No pride in the premises whatsoever. Thick layer of dust under the pool tables, dusty shelves with empty bottles. Cobwebs and dust in every corner. Considering the staff are usually hanging around on their phones, getting the mop or vacuum out for an hour or two a week wouldn’t be a bad idea! Can’t speak for the food, didn’t eat here. Was planning on getting food when we visited but the cleanliness put me off. Can only imagine what the back rooms/kitchen looks like when the public space looks like this.

It's an absolutely unique place... Yes, every place is special, but honestly, a proper saloon-sportsbar in Ubud was something I didn't expect. And when it comes to the whole package: The classic rock music, the owner and his staff, the pool tournaments, the regular streaming of sport events, the excellent tex-mex menu, great craft beer, and most of all, the diverse group of people who frequent this place - I think you will be hard pressed to find a better sports bar on this entire island.

Visited from Canada last week. Great atmosphere BUT we bought a t-shirt for our son as a souvenir (he's really keen on axe-throwing in Ontario). When we gifted it to him and he opened it, it was the wrong one! No axe heads like the one we had seen and asked for. This was just a generic, non-axe one. Long way to go to get a replacement! Other than that, great experience to visit your beautiful country. Love to come back some day.

The place is actually very cool, a bunch of games and you can have a fun time. But, the beer is kind of pricey and you have to pay for every single game. I would go there everyday if the pool tables were free or if they had a happy hour. For me it doesn't make any sense to charge so much for a pool table, if it was free people would keep playing and spending money on beer and the bar would be full, which is not the case. Apparently, they are very money focused.

Been here 3 days in a row now and love this place. Pool tables and snooker tables available. As well as unlimited darts for a cheap 15K per person. Owner has given us a free large pint of beer also. Good food and a nice vibe. Will probably be back tomorrow! Haven’t tried the shuffleboard or axe throwing but great additions to the saloon. Would recommend to anyone that loves bar/pub games!!

Great vibe and a high energy spot. Quality of the amenities is excellent. Beer is higher priced than anywhere else I've come across while visiting Bali (which is still far less than anywhere in the States), but the atmosphere is such you can truly settle in and enjoy that beer without disturbing anyone around you, too. While the wives go out again for more massages, we'll be back here doing our own thing, without complaints. Note: Cash only.

Great place to check out if you’re in the ubud area. They have foosball, pool, axe throwing, and ping pong. I also had the most amazing burger here. They have a few local selection of beer.

Bestt bar ever! It's even perfect for Indonesian who want to practice english or any foreign language because the visitors are from all over the world.. Currently I'm learning Russian and tonight was my lucky night! I met with Russians and had a great conversation! The price is affordable! Thank you!

I loved this place. As a business owner, I could relate to the general attitude of the signs. Axe throwing is a great time. The food was very good. The staff is amazing. The beer is nice and cold. Prices are reasonable. I look forward to coming back.

Came here for Super Bowl, service was awful and felt like being ripped off. They made us order everything we wanted in beginning, or else we couldn’t use the ticket voucher we bought. Ridiculous. Don’t come here, not a good environment.

We had a boozy lunch before we visited Melting Pot. We wanted a place where we could drink more but also do something fun. This place served us very well. We enjoyed playing all the different games. Axe throwing was a bit expensive but it was fun nonetheless. F&B was strictly average.

Cold beer Friendly staff Live sports Finest pool tables Plenty of other things to do I’m not sure what else you might want but some of these reviewers are clearly trying to cause damage and smear the establishment. Highly recommend if any of the above are of interest.. 👍

A Great Pub to Hang Out This bar is usually quite lively in the evenings. They have at least 8 pool tables and one table tennis table. They also have an axe throwing area. There is a large variety of drinks to choose from as well. On weekends, premier league games are aired on tv. Overall a fun pace to hang out and possibly interact with others.

Looked for a place to drink and hang out. Saw this place on google and had a good laugh reading all the reviews…had to come check it out. Everyone is too high strung and loves to complain, this place is a exactly what you expect. Drinks and pool. Had a few drinks, played some pool. Atmosphere is chill. My only complaint is that it was cash only but in the end not that big of a deal. Cool place. Disclaimer: didn’t try any food.

Went here to watch the women’s World Cup final. Extremely busy that night, but very few staff working the bar, so wait times for drinks were quite lengthy. Atmosphere was superb though, many nationalities watching the game. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food. There’s a good selection of seating areas including at the bar. Several pool tables across the bar, and large screen TVs for watching sports.

Laid back atmosphere, low fuss and lots of fun. More popular with tourists and expats than locals by the looks of it when I visited. Lots of pool tables and axe throwing. Cash only so bring cash and make sure to dose up on your bug repellant!

Omg absolutely LOVED this place. Playing pool was great but the highlight was most definitely the axe throwing. Was so so so much fun

Wonderful place to spend time in Ubud. Came back 3 days in a row, friendly staff lovely owner who gave us a free pint. Had beef sliders and chips- was delicious. Lots of games available including snooker, pool, darts, fussball and shuffleboard. Playing World Cup and other interesting sports! Would come back.. maybe tomorrow😉

Good place to drink beer and as a craft beer lover i was happy they had small collection of craft beers too. They have a good screens to look sports. Overall friendly stuff and good atmosphere. But my first experience with this place playing biljard and ping pong was misleaded double priced sad story. And only reason to give 2*. We played 30min biljard and 10min pingpong as we got understood it does not cost more but got charged double 40+40min and they just told you can play 30min more. We even let our pool table to another customers while we still had time left. I dont mind the price it was not too expensive, but i dont like feeling to get cheated and misleaded.

A Unique Place in Ubud If you find yourself in Ubud, among the new-cage yoga & charged crystals crowd, and yearn for a bit of normality, this is it. Here people talk about chips rather than chakras, play pool rather than cleanse their sacred spirits in one. You wont see many man-buns or unbuttoned kimonos that show a shaved tattooed chest. Here, people throw axes rather than grind them. This is more a traditional bar than barometer of transcendence. All the staff are friendly and helpful, with the usual Bali caveats, and the owner, Greg, is also often a source of much amusement with his very low tolerance for any BS (Just read some of the reviews here.) He will ensure you are taken care of, and also takes care of his staff. A great place if you haven’t yet transcended into the new-earth ninth dimensional portal that Ubud offers, and are looking for a great range of craft beers on tap! :)

Craft beers on tap is a great addition in Ubud and they play the sport on multiple screens. Don't come here for free pool or good tunes though. If you like country music you're set, otherwise avoid. The service was great and I'm sure the other games are fun but there are plenty of other places with good ambiance and free pool.

The gumbo was good. The bratwurst was unimaginative. It's a mosquito farm and you have to pay for every game of pool or foosball etc. No tax or service added on. Tons of parking.

Great place to go for pool, darts and foosball. My family had fun playing darts here. The food and service were good only negative were the dogs hanging out, one started nipping at my son's shorts but left when I shooed it away.

Rude owner, poor service. never coming back! Greg (seem to be the owner) needs to learn some customer service skills. Highly unacceptable, no wonder its so quiet LOL

Nice place to hang out. Good selection of beers and fun games (axe throwing, pool tables, ping pong, darts, arcade games).
