The food taste was good, but the burger had a soggy salad which made everything messy and hard to eat. Bacon was a bit dry. Potatoes instead of fries was really yummy when dipped in aioli😍 The lamb had a Great taste, but we were unlucky to find a small thick hair in our lamb. You kind of expect things like that not to happen to food over 210k idr Incl. tax. We didnt want to make a scene cause the restaurant was completely full. Our total came to 450k idr for 2 meals and 1 tea + 1 small bintang 💲 Service was good and the Staff was friendly 🙏 Overall experience was ok😊

A pleasant place with unintrusive staff. Delicious coffee. The food is decent, but I have a few suggestions to make it truly worth the price (190,000 including taxes). Serve the pudding after the main course. Sweet desserts are better enjoyed after savory dishes. The sorbet melted and lost its intended effect. Alternatively, you could ask guests in which order they prefer to have their dishes served. The menu claims to have "perfect poached eggs," but that's not entirely true. The eggs were almost hard-boiled, with the yolk not oozing as expected for Eggs Benedict. Consider adding a bit more sauce to the dishes. The price allows for it, and it would enhance the overall experience. In other way it’s kinda dry. It seems that the knife is not cutting the bun and ham well. The ice in the juice is almost in equal proportions, diluting the juice's flavor and making it less enjoyable. Wishing you the best of luck!

It's not just food....The soulful food and hospitality of this café are a testament to the power of bringing people together through the simple pleasures of good food, warm company, and heartfelt care. It's not just a place to eat; it's a sanctuary for the senses, a refuge from the chaos of the world, and a reminder of the joy that can be found in the simple act of sharing a meal with others. Each dish is a masterpiece born from their deep love for the culinary arts and their relentless pursuit of perfection. Every ingredient is carefully selected, every technique meticulously honed, resulting in a symphony of flavours that resonates with the soul and lingers in the memory.🫡🫡🫡

It’s been two weeks since I’ve been but I just can’t let this experience go without a fantabulous review. Literally EVERYTHING we put in our mouths here was superbly tasty. Bright, flavourful - fresh doesn’t cut it. We were so wowed we came back again before we left. The brunch options, the juices. I will be so surprised if you aren’t met with a taste that will wow you and service to match. You won’t regret choosing here.

We were just walking in the street for shopping and saw that place and after checking the reviews we decided to give it a try for breakfast. What a wonderful surprise. We shared a Benny brunch and everything was better than expected. We enjoyed every single bites. Cappuccino is also the best I had in Bali Great staff and charming place. Will come back the next morning

We had dinner at Watercress cafe tonight and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Chicken Burger, Braised Ribs and Chocolate Nemesis. The service from the staff is just as amazing, thanks Elsa for taking care of us. They also had live music which made the dining experience even more enjoyable for us. They also do amazing coffee and brekkie as we’ve been going there almost daily after our morning walks.

We had an amazing brunch at watercress. The eggs benny and all that came with it was absolutely delicious and great value too. Fabulous staff, thank you to Dwi who was so nice and attentive. Will go back again and definitely recommend as brunch spot in Ubud.

One of the best burgers to have in Bali, or maybe even in Indonesia. They don’t have much variety in the menu, but the taste of their food is excellent. All of the burgers taste really great, and the portions are quite big. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking price is excellent, thus the food is really good. The price is a bit high, but on Ubud scene it is quite usual. The place is great looking and comfortable, especially the second floor. The designs are great looking, the place is quite spacious. Free WiFi is there, but I don’t know the speed. The place is on the main road, but doesn’t have dedicated parking space, so on crowded days for Ubud you will struggle to find a parking space.

Very nice fresh and healthy meals on offer at monkey Forrest road. Have got good reviews, so thought we would check it out. Very nice and fresh. See attached pictures as well. We got the salt and pepper calamari and making making fish burger, both were delicious. Also bonus 2 for 1 beers on happy hour as well.

One of my favorite places for breakfast in Ubud! ♥️ The eggs Benedict with spinach are sooo good! If you are more on the sweet side for breakfast, definitely try the French toast filled with homemade cashew chocolate Creme. Also really like the coffee there. It’s the perfect place for a nice breakfast. Highly recommend a visit ☕️🥐🍳

Had a wonderful breakfast here! "The fruits of paradise" was exactly what I needed to start in a amazing day! They also serve real Coffee from a professional Coffee machine.. - European tourists, you know what I mean! 😁 Special thanks for lovely hospitality to Dwik, she took so much care about me feeling great during the breakfast!

Great cafe with high quality breakfast and coffee. I also got coconut milk coffee for the first time but my stomach didn’t agree with it. Stick to your normal milk coffee if have a sensitive stomach like mine! 😅 The ambiance is pretty great too it is a bit loud as it is near a busy street but overall it is tolerable!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Watercress Cafe in Ubud and it was a fantastic experience. The cafe is nestled in a lush garden setting and has a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing meal. The menu offers a wide variety of healthy and delicious options, but the standout dish for me was the amazing fruit salad. It was a refreshing blend of fresh fruits that tasted like it was straight from the garden. The cafe also offers great coffee and an extensive selection of smoothies and juices. I recommend Watercress Cafe if you're looking for a healthy and tasty meal in a beautiful setting.

As the only non-vegan (!) person in Ubud, it was one of the rare places where I could finally eat a delicious chicken burger. Every product on the menu is really delicious, and the location is in lively place. I will definitely be going back to try their other dishes…

Great food. One of the best cafes I went to in Bali. The service is friendly and efficient. The vibe is relaxed. Beautiful interior. Menu has great western options. The price is moderate for Bali but still okay. I ordered the skillet pancakes and they were exceptional. Instagramable food for sure. I could have eaten here every day.

The best brunch place I found in Ubud! I visited multiple times during my stay, each time was wonderful. I tried the eggs benny brunch set and ordering items individually. The brunch set is really good value, and delicious! I also loved the avo toast, never have I had a more delicious toast! Would highly recommend visiting for any meal, as they were all great. Staff were wonderful until we witnessed a medical emergency carrying out in the cafe. Only one staff member was useful (and she was brilliant), the others struggled to even get water and when requested for someone passing out in the cafe. Might be worth offering some further training on what to do in emergencies.

I went here the moment i saw a post on instagram about one of the cafes in Ubud. They have a 60k coffee and cake every 3-6pm daily which is a very good deal. When they served the cake, it didn't disappoint!! The cake was really amazing and you'll know they used quality ingredients. It was a balance of different flavors. Btw, i got salted caramel cheesecake, must try!! 💗

This by far our favourite restaurant in Bali! The food is absolutely amazing, great quality ingredients and always beautifully presented. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. A special thank you to Elin for the excellent service provided!

Lovely staff, really fresh and bright cafe, comfy seating outdoors and indoors upstairs and ground floor. Food is really beautiful and tastes great. I got the 150k deal with eggs benny (meat of choice), a juice, a coffee/tea (oat matcha was an extra 5k) and the prettiest chia seed pudding I ever saw! So cheap, total was €9.30, and I could barely finish! Scooter parking across the street.

Great coffee and great food, the location is great. Our waitress, Ellen, was very friendly and helped a lot with keeping my sister’s little baby entertained whilst we could take a bit of a break. Would highly recommend Watercress cafe, and hopefully Ellen is your waitress.

Absolutely loved this place. Me and my partner are from California, USA and this is by far the best western food I’ve had in any Asian country. We had the cheese toastie, ham croissant, asparagus and parmasean and French toast and it all tasted very delicious. I even commented to my partner that the food was so good, it was probably better than a lot of cafes in the U.S. Would highly recommend for anyone to go and get some authentic western food. Staff there is also very nice and friendly, our server Deya gave us good tips and recommendations! I’ll definitely be going back before the end of our vacation!

Well, we decided to try this place because it is owned by the same person as milk and madu which is very popular in Bali and we enjoyed it. Unfortunately, there were couple of plates which didn’t meet our expectations at all and were very dense and lacked flavor, the mushroom fettuccine and polenta fries. On the other side, the mushroom truffle soup was delicious and the chicken cashew salad was good as well. The restaurant manager came to check on us as we were leaving and we were honest and said that some dishes were disappointing and we didn’t like them. After expressing our opinion to her she made sure that we don’t leave the place with bad experience and she removed those two items from the bill !! To me that is real ownership and customer care to keep proper image and reputation of the business and if I were her manager I would have been really proud. Thank you very much for your kindness and service Ms.Dewi

We had the started bread and smoked aubergine dip loved it ! Then we had the slow cooked lamb shoulder with some extra sides - best lamb we’ve had in a very very long time !! Cannot recommend enough ! Wish we were here longer to try other items on menu. Beautiful spot for dinner with incredibly friendly staff !

Nice upscale restaurant in middle of Ubud. Our bellies had a slight Bali fever so we chose this place as safe option of Western dishes. We had beef burger and vegetarian burgers. Both were very good and we left satisfied. Flat white was closest to true thing made in Melbourne I've had outside of Australia. The atmosphere was very cozy in the evening as they had a live band playing some acoustic indie covers. The prices are quite high in Balinese standards, we paid 500K IDR for 2 burgers 2 coffees and 1 cocktail and a juice but overall were satisfied with our experience there.

  • 5/5 TheSimonMech 5 years ago on Google
We came thinking it was a small little cafe, however soon realised it was much more. It had a second story with awesome decor and a nice open plan. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I ordered the burger which was one of the better burgers i have had in Bali. My girlfriend ordered the lasagna which was more like a very wide fettucinne with a pesto sauce and other greens through it. The truffle mac and cheese was also so good. We ordered two negronis which were so tasty, probably one of the best I have had. The do a two for one cocktail deal between 5pm and 7pm. Anyway, long story short, if you are in Ubud, definitely worth the visit.

Excellent restaurant. We went at 10am and it wasn't busy. The city center was still quiet and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. Seems like a good working space as well. There is a downstairs and upstairs bit to this restaurant. Food was so delicious. My partner got the benny brunch deal for 150k and you get a juice a coffee, eggs benny with choice of meat/salmon and a chia raspberry pudding. I got the chorizo with baby potatoes, mushrooms and salad. Also got kombucha which was fantastic as well. The bill came to about 370k for the both of us. Worth it! Highly recommended!

This was my favourite breakfast spot while staying in this part of Ubud. The vibe is great, the staff are so kind and friendly, and the food is delicious and fresh. Yes it's pricier compared to some other breakfast spots, but I still think it's good value for what you get. Highly recommend!

The very first meal when we arrived in Bali. We were there during the lunch hour and ordered the salad, chicken rice and truffle mushroom soup. The taste was really good and served with big portion. The service crew was very polite and helpful in explaining the menu when we had doubts and requested not to have spicy food.

Came by for coffee and enjoyed our mocha and long black. Was a pity we were too full from our lunch elsewhere, otherwise would have loved to try their food items. Such a lovely place for a drink or bite to eat! We had dinner here a couple of times and the food was delicious! Beautiful selection of ‘laneway cocktails’ to choose from! The staff were accomodating, our waitress Lea was very kind and took great care of us! We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was great with the noise from the busy street and monkeys walking the powerlines! I will be coming back here on my next trip!

Honestly, we fell in love with the place. The attention from Melda, Yoga, and Olang is always accompanied by a smile, and they are willing to help with everything they can. The decor, cleanliness, and presentation of the dishes reflect the love and quality of each one. In the evening, it becomes very romantic with the candles and its lovely fragrance, which makes us come back again and again. Without a doubt, if you're in Ubud, you must visit this magical place.

Went to Watercress Ubud in Indonesia and loved it. The beer and smoothie were tasty, and the feta rolls and cauliflower burger were really good. And the tiramisu? Incredible! The place has a nice feel, and everything tasted fresh. If you're in the area, you should go. I can't wait to go back!

This area of Ubud is very happening and live and is lined up with cafes, shops, spas. Vibrant, alive and fun is how you can describe Watercress Ubud. This cafe has amazing vibes and you feel like you are in Bali. Modern and appealing. Prices are not very high and coffee is very good. Staff is courteous and always smiling. You can go up one floor and get the view of the bustling street. The cafe opens up early, so if you wanna grab an early bite you can head there and surely will be served with amazing food.

Reasonably priced cafe with good food. I had the pumpkin salad with pesto. I thought the pumpkin was nicely glazed with honey which went well with the rest of the greens. This place was highly rated on google for Brunch and we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious. The drinks were yummy. Everyone order burgers and there was lots of food on the table. I enjoyed a nice salad and this simple yet very delicious Avocado Toast. They were also very kind to give mashed avocado to our 7 month old baby. The service staff was extremely courteous and attentive. They were always smiling. The place was busy and yet the service was swift. I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful space with polite service and excellent coffee. However I find it very distracting on the ground floor as the staff were talking loudly across the cafe, from wait staff to kitchen, and doesn’t help that there’s no music. Coupled that with the cars from the main road, it’s a very noisy and distracting environment. If they could practice some awareness instead of the constant loud chatter I hear the whole time? it would be an amazing place where I’d come back.

Expensive. No doubt about it but the service is the best I've had in Ubud, attentive but not awkward and the food is excellent. Best chai tea, I've had here in a massive teapot and excellent avo on toast. Might be better if they had more veggie options and then they add on 16% for tax and service at the end! Australian feel and full of tourists but I would still go back :)
