Overall I would say the ingredients used for this place were all very fresh. All the dishes we tried were well done, but nothing particularly stood out for us. Service and ambience were perfect - super attentive and helpful.

Fantastic Indonesian food restaurant, this place was recommended by our resort, and it turns out really good. The main thing here is the quality of the food and the service staff were fantastic. The restaurant setup was just ordinary. We ordered the set menu for 4. One of us is allergic to crustacean and no problem at all. The service staff was so helpful to offer alternatives to the person who had the allergic. The foods were incredibly good. Every dish was delicious and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place if you are in Ubud.

Simply could not find fault with anything. The food was divine and the service was impeccable. I loved the attention to detail and care shown by all the staff. The dining is family style - which they explain and make recommendations based on your preferences. There is a depth of flavour in similarly sounding dishes that I had not experienced before. Highly recommend it!

We were looking for authentic Indonesian food after a long warm morning in the Ubud area - in a comfortable airconditioned setting! A local friend recommended Nusantara and we just about made it before the last order. What a relief and delight! A range of options including a set menu which we were not too keen on. Decided on a la carte and chose a bunch of the 'smaller' portions + a couple of the larger ones. A real smart place and staff were professional and quick to respond to queries. At the same time they did not try and push any 'specials' or similar. With the exception of one of the 'curries' all was good. A must visit for folks and most certainly a return visit on our next trip.

If you can only visit ONE restaurant in Ubud, it is this one. This restaurant features famous dishes not only from Bali but all across Indonesia with the freshest ingredients and herbs. Their drinks were amazing too. We did a la carte because we wanted to try dishes not on the set menu and it was great. Beware they are not shy about using chilis appropriate to the Indonesian taste buds so make sure you tell them to reduce the spice if you can't handle it. The food was all so tasty and unique and they explain everything in detail. It seems like it's reservation only so make sure you reserve a spot online well in advanced. Highly recommend this restaurant in Bali if you try nothing else.

A top notch restaurant offering great service, and a diverse set of Balinese flavors that leaves you wanting for more. We were initially a little overwhelmed by the multiple sets of menus, but with a little help from the waitress, we were able to narrow down to a few manageable items. We had the sampler platter, chicken curry, chicken wings and a few other items. Our main impression was diversity, balanced. While the cuisine tends to be on the spicier side, the flavor was not overpowering where that’s the only thing you taste. I especially appreciated the sampler which, while smaller in size was huge on flavor. It gives you a peek into what the island has to offer. The curry chicken also brings back a lot of memories — especially if you have spent some time in Singapore. Having just arrived into Ubud, we appreciated the flexibility and hospitality of the servers that accommodated our schedule and our bags. A must stop on your trip to Bali/Ubud — can’t wait to return!

Amazing food. This was the best meal we had on our trip in Ubud, Bali! Everything was immensely flavourful. We ordered the set menu and also added a soft shell crab stirfry. All the dishes were amazing. It is a little expensive but the quality is there. The service was also fantastic. If there are any concerns about levels of spiciness, there is the option to have the sambal prepared on the side. I took off one star for atmosphere. The atmosphere was good, but at one point we did notice the spice in the air was bothering us and causing us to cough/be congested. The ventilation in the kitchen could be improved in this area.

Well prepared special sophisticated Indonesian dishes with great service. Waitress explained the menu and each dishes patiently. We're impressed by the taste of each dish. Love all the specialty cocktails with local theme.

Visited on 12 Nov 2023, at 7pm. What a wonderful place to try a variety of Indonesian dishes. The meal started with a snack platter filled with an assortment of small dishes like tempeh, salted fish and peanuts, egg in sambal and the melon Jo crackers, Emping. We ordered 2 small dishes: the Babi Goreng (pork belly) and Jepit Siap (chicken marinated in turmeric). Despite being smal dishes, it was a good portion of food. Both meats were very delicious and juicy. For the big dishes, we ordered the Ikan Bakar Kimir (marinated trevally) and Konro Bakar (marinated beef ribs). The portion for those were really big and felt like they could easily feed at least four pax. We also ordered the banana blossom vegetable dish and the special sambal terong teri. Each dish comes with a sambal accompaniment and it complemented the dishes beautifully. The staff were very friendly too and happy to recommend dishes depending on your group size. I would love to back again!

A fantastic introduction to Indonesian food. The starter platter is such a genius move to showcase the variety of delicacies that Indonesia could offer from the get go, and if you get the set menu, you'll see this theme maintained well into the mains. The staffs are very attentive, making sure that your allergies and preferences are well accounted for and checking it twice. That being said, Indonesians (or people with better tolerance to spicy foods) might find the flavours of the food to be a little bit subdued. I was prepared for "medium to high" level of spiciness as explained by the staff, but I was surprised to see that it was mild at best for me (I can tolerate spicy foods better though) Also, surely something could be done to keep the smoke outside... It felt a bit stuffy inside and we can still smell the smoke on our clothes when we went home.

Yummmmm! Best food we’ve had in Bali! Partner and I would highly recommend. This price in Australia you get nothing as good as this! The complimentary entrée and pumpkin birthday cake was a very nice touch. Get the pork belly and moringa soup (coconut soup).

We ordered the set menu, 450K each. It was a good tasting menu for Indonesian food but dishes were not spectacular. Only the soup served in a coconut wow-ed us. They require your credit card for reservations which we didn’t like, but we managed to get a table at 6pm by luck. We would recommend Hujan Locale instead, they don’t have set menu but every dish we had there has wow-ed us. The service at nusantara was also lacklustre. Staff seemed tired from repeating the same introduction… that they serve authentic Indonesian food family style… which means for sharing.. first page is set menu… second page is etc etc. Maybe because their management tried to standardise things, and the result of it was a crew of staff reading off the script…

Lovely place for an intimate, cosy dinner. Came here with my daughter as we were recommended by some fellow travellers. Appetisers were complimentary and came in a circular tray showcasing 9 different items from the archipelago. We ordered two small plate items which were not v small actually - the beef shank and the corn fritters. Both were v good! Corn was sweet, lightly battered and crisp while the beef shank was well marinated, tender and flavourful. Also ordered the Mud Crab curry and the gudeg nangka to go with rice. Overall, the dishes were an amazing introduction to the country however, for those who are not accustomed to spicy food it would be best to pick non/less picy items. My daughter had diarrhoea the next day which is why I took a star off but otherwise - lovely service team and food.

👍 Ordinary food in a spectacular location, in the middle of rice paddy. The crispy duck is really crispy, a bit too dry. The sate lilit is delicious. The gurami goreng bit bland / tasteless. Nor the sauce / sambal nor the fish have any taste. It also would be better if they have soup in their menu to...
