We booked a villa for our honeymoon six months ago, my fiancées brother was diagnosed with cancer and we had to delay the wedding, we tried to cancel the booking two months before the stay and even offering to show them proof of the Doctors report and surgery date, they refused to refund the money, even when I’m sure they would fill the room with new guests! I would expect a bit more humanity from people when going through such a horrible time.

Very quiet rooms at a central location. For my Bali stay I wanted to start with a few days sightseeing. So I booked a room four four days at Rouge. This is a group of only six villas around a pool in the garden behind a restaurant. The location is perfect, very central yet very quiet at the same time. My room was large, clean and well maintained. Besides the comfortable bed, there was a small writing desk, a minibar and a tv (maybe they have added this as some older reviews missed this?). There was always a security guard, and the reception desk also made very long hours given they only have six rooms. Now this is not a five-star destination, but still very good. It was exactly what I wanted as my main focus was on sightseeing, not on experiencing the resort. I had sushi in the restaurant which was great. You can also order breakfast in the restaurant but the choice is not too exciting. I would recommend going nextdoors to Panini which specialises in all kinds of great breakfast options.

I didn’t stay here but visited to check out the rooms to see if I would stay for the month. The room has potential but is literally just a bed and bathroom and super large closet area. No tv and no fridge. Large shared pool. For the price, it was definitely not worth it. The bathtub area is very nice tho

We had dinner here yesterday, there was live jazz music and even when lightening was not appropriate for the occasion, we enjoy the show and meal very much. The host was very kind and the place is nice.

Our visit was a fine dine experience of the upper class. Delicious French cuisine was served by super friendly corteous staff with a perfect manner. The dessert we ordered was excellent and tastefully. ROUGE Restaurant is very central located with walking distance to Ubud Palance makes it reachable for everyone who lives in that area. I can recommend ROUGE Restaurant to everyone who is looking to dine in a comfortable lounge with first class service.

I'm not a sushi person but I was converted when I tasted Rouge's. So fresh, tasty and delicate. Then I had the Chicken Teriyaki. Totally delicious . My friend had the Fillet Mignon and said it was the best he'd had in Bali. I will confess to having two desserts: the Chocolate Volcano and the 1000 Crepes. Oh sooooo good. The evening was far more than food ... there was a jazz pianist,  a fun magician,  the welcoming ducks and the great hosts: Laurent and Dominique. If you are in Ubud treat yourself to an experience at Rouge. And while you are there even have two desserts. Why not? 😅🤣🥰😍

I popped in for breakfast, so I can't comment on the lunch and dinner menu. I was there at 8.30am and the only person there, but was welcomed warmly by the staff. The cafe is opposite the local school, so there was lots of noise from the children and traffic going up and down the road. Head to the back of the place for a quieter experience. The breakfast menu is limited. Basically any type of egg (poached, scrambled etc) served with potato wedges. I opted for 2 side dishes- the fruit platter and a croissant. I also had a latte because, well, I need caffeine to wake up. The croissant arrived with butter and jam, which is not usual for Bali breakfasts, and I was grateful that the croissant was warm and buttery too. The fruit platter had dragon fruit, pineapple and watermelon and was very refreshing. The latte.... mmm... perfect! It comes on a tray with a shot of cold water to pour in if you prefer your coffee on the luke warm side. Total price was 90,000 idr Only one other customer arrived while I was there, so can't really comment on the atmosphere. Toilets are clean and well maintained.

Review for the restaurant. The Filet mignon steak was terribly bad. But the vegetables which was chosen as the side made its way into my heart. Ended up ordering 2 more portions of those vegetables and left the steak.

Just reviewing a restaurant! It’s not good at all. The food is not fresh, overpriced and tiny menu. Such a disappointment

Went here for dinner tonight, the staff were excellent, they were very kind and attentive, and the environment of the restaurant was awesome - everything had a modern feel. The food was okay, we had the tuna mahi poke, gyoza, spring roll, and California roll.

This place really has the potential to be great, the interior and seating are fantastic, the sushi is also pretty good. Where they lack is the drink selection and quality cocktails are not good and wine is basic, we even offered to pay a corkage fee to get better wine and they were interested, not good business sense. Needed to the chase the waitress to get service, when we were the only people here. Also we arrived after opening and still had the front chained, they didn’t seem to understand that they would have to unchain the front to let us in, staff needs better training and for a lounge they need to work on their drinks, wine selection and quality.

Came here because we stayed at one of the properties from Rouge and we enjoyed a free cocktail. They were delicious...nice local wine selection from Indonesia too. We tried the veggie & signature burgers and they were delicious. Shoestring french fries served on side. A nice quiet ambiance a bit "set back" from the main street.

We stayed at the villa for 5 nights. Check in experience was good, location is great, it’s close to the palace and temple and many famous and good restaurants and cafes. But Like others, I think the no outside food and beverage allowed is a dumb rule. For the rooms, condition of it isn’t very good because it seems old and run down. The toilet bowl isn’t firmly rooted to the ground and it shakes whenever you stand up from it. Paint is peeling off the walls, there are many cobwebs and spiders at the corners of the bathing area. The wooden wall in the bathing area looks damp and nasty probably from getting wet all the time. The bathing area is forever flooding even after showering for only 5 minutes. The water sometimes doesn’t drain properly and sometimes flows out under the door or towards the electricity socket at the end. In my opinion the bathing area needs to be renovated. For room service, they come in to clean the moment you leave your room which means they pay good attention to you. However room service isn’t great. Towels are not changed everyday even when the floor towel is clearly very dirty. There was even one day where we didn’t even get room cleaning. For reception service, the receptionist is friendly and greets you whenever you come and go. However, reception isn’t available sometimes even in the daytime which isn’t very professional. I also think 2 room keys should be given instead of 1 for convenience Upon checking in we are given a voucher to receive free wine for dinner at their restaurant only if we purchase a meal. I think it’s quite stingy compared to other hotels/villas where we can receive better perks at the restaurants as someone who stays there. eg. Free drink without any purchase needed. Overall this place isn’t worth the money as i paid $140-$150SGD a night. The only reason why I chose this villa was because the better ones had no availability as I booked quite late(less than one month in advance). This villa should either decrease their pricing or improve their service and cleanliness.
