After really looking forward to staying here, I was excited to arrive and loved everything about the venue. The only dissapointing aspect was that 2 of my purses containing personal items and sentimental belongings disappeared from my room. The staff were lovely, supportive and helpful. They said this has never happened before and while this may be true as far as they know, it may be that nobody else has reported. I am just sharing my experience as a warning to others who may be, like me relaxed in a false sense of security. The rooms don't have safes but I have since been informed that reception may have safe deposit boxes. Enjoy honeymoon guesthouse but be aware of your security in terms of your belongings. It is a shame that it ruined my time there and I won't go back there again.

Great location close enough to everything but far enough away from the scooter noise. Staff were very welcoming. Room was showing it's age but was still comfortable and clean and the balcony is a great place to chill out on. Nice pool area surrounded by greenery. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Ubud.

This hotel is spread over two complexes on opposite sides of the street and we stayed in both. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are pleasant and the breakfast choices are good. Location is fantastic.. We probably preferred the main building as it is very quiet, our second room was right on the street, therefore extremely noisy. Request a room away from the road and you'll be right. We would return 👍🏼

A little gem in Ubud. The rooms are large enough, the pool is clean. The hotel grounds are amazing. The staff is helpfull and speaks sufficient English. It is a short walk from several nice restaurants. One needs to order breakfast the night before. Portions are smallish.

Having stayed in many hotels, this is one of the best value for money hotels I have ever stayed in. The grounds are beautiful. They are a tranquil oasis away from the town center. The staff are so good. Breakfast and food in the restaurant is also excellent. It is only a few minutes walk into Ubud. When we come back it will always be here. Exceptional value for money.

What is not to like? The location is central, walkable to temples, shopping, oodles of restaurants and Monkey Forest. Honeymoon’s rooms are set in lovely tropical garden with beautiful statues at every turn. The rooms have Balinese theme and are kept spotless. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed for 52 days. The breakfast is scrumptious with many choices, banana pancakes, avocado toast on homemade sourdough bread, eggs any way you like, fruit plate, and juices. We 100% recommend Honeymoon guesthouse.

Ok people, the BREAKFAST here is one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve experienced anywhere, let alone Bali. We also loved spending time at the pool, the space is so tranquil and beautiful, and feels very traditionally Balinese. Would definitely stay again if returning to Ubud.

This place is great and very central to all activities, easy to find a taxi and very close to great local coffee. This is my second time staying here and it’s very relaxing and laidback, it can be loud depending where you are in the hotel but that comes with the territory. The staff is welcoming and helpful and the breakfast is great, it’s a good price for what you get. The owner also owns the restaurant a few blocks away and then another called indus about a mile and a half away that we walked to and AMAZING VIEWS!!! and great food and drinks. They also give you a 10% discount card for all their restaurants.

This hotel saved us from a sticky situation at another ‘hotel’ in Ubud. The beds were surprisingly comfy, the breakfast yummy and the staff nice. The pool was a good spot. It wasn’t really the kind of place to chill out in your room, and the rooms aren’t ‘sealed’ from the outside - lots of glassless decorative windows for AC to escape and bugs to get in. However, a good spot and a good location.

This place is beautiful. It has a romantic ancient appeal to it and our room was spacious and a joy to be in most of the time. The pool was cool and refreshing. The staff were friendly. Some negatives however; aircon in room didn’t work, not a problem as we were there in August but there was no inclination shown to fix it while we were there. Laundry came back stained and torn, no effort made for resolution and they left it on our bill - not good. Despite countless online comments and previous friends singing the praises of the breakfast I’m left wondering if there has been a change of ownership or management recently...(shrug) and they have dulled it down a little. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the amazing treat we’d heard about. This loses stars for the apathy shown regarding the laundry damaged.

Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, rooms and common areas are enormous and comfortable and food very tasty, I’ll stay again and recommend. but they are some things to improve and it is the reason for not given they 5 stars, like air conditioning, it total waste of energy and money, window are typical Balinese witch means beautiful wood design with not crystal on the windows and spaces in doors, so no fresh air stays in room and only are wasting energy and money, they tried to make better covering with plastic but I really don’t think it’s help and give bad looking to the beautiful handmade design. Fans will be better for fresh air and environment. Also you have to pick your breakfasts day before witch is good because they have you food ready, maybe you can change opinion or forget do it. Also some deep bathroom cleaning will be good, there are some stains that look like if no one were cleaning but it is because natural water sediments in tropical climate. Some pic of the windows and stains

This is my second time staying here in Ubud, it is a lovely place very very close to all shops, coffee, restaurants, bars, and live music. Very easy to find a taxi in this location as well and since it is very central to everything, you’re quite close to all of the adventures and activities. I will say this area has become a little more congested and commercial than last time I was here but hey! That’s great the economy is booming again. The staff is delightful and extremely helpful and the breakfast is amazing! (If you want ketchup with your eggs - bring your own though! They do not have ketchup) just a tip! There’s a mart next door and a pharmacy across the street, great location. The pools are always clean and the landscaping is always up to par! Another tip - (Request not being in any building toward the front street as it is very loud, we had room 24 and it was pretty hard to sleep with cars, people, and loud music) :) other than that AMAZING!!

Large comfortable room, bathroom only adequate as shower wasn't working properly until I cleaned the head of it out. Some noise at night from nearby club but always stopped before 11pm. Main issue is that the paving stones on paths are very slippery. Good friendly staff, nice breakfast

Amazing place especially for the price. Beautiful decor and the rooms are very nice. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable but not enough to complain about too much.

We came for the Balinese cooking class from our accommodation an hour out of town and cannot comment on the guest house itself. BUT, we had a lot of fun in the Monday cooking class (dishes will vary depending upon the day you choose!) After a visual and sensory introduction to all of the ingredients, we eventually had the opportunity to slice, dice and ground the ingredients with the intention of making three different curry pastes. It should be mentioned that some of the components of the final meals had to be prepared in advance of our arrival to the class. The black rice took many hours to prepare. And we never had to handle any of the protein either. Everyone is contributing to the final product. The duck, which wasn't on offer for our class, took eight hours for example! So fair enough. Making a paste from scratch was a pleasurable education. You are engaged in smelling sensations and for some, learning and seeing new herbs, bulbs and peppers. Once the paste was done, we started cooking the fish curry. We also mixed chicken and tofu in their pastes and learned to wrap them in banana leaves, an experience I was keen to learn. And it was as simple as you'd imagine. And quick to steam as well. The food itself was terrific and very satisfying in that you're enjoying the process from start to finish. We had a fun and educational day here and left satisfied🙏🙏🙏

So grateful with this place! The staff is amazing… The amount of kindness and support that I received went above and beyond. Plus everything is absolutely beautiful, the location, the facilities, the breakfast.. Everything is perfect. Will always stay here when I visit Ubud :)

We really enjoyed our time in this hotel in the centre of Ubud . Breakfast was really good with a variety of dishes to choose every day . A very beautiful place where you can really enjoy your time near the pool or at different spots within the hotel area .

Beautifull rooms, good prestations, good services, very very good breakfast. All services with a good smile. Nota : if you have a room front of the street, you could have some inconvenient because the noise from the street... If possible, choice one inside

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The rooms feel like you’re almost in a treehouse and it’s fairly open, but you don’t get many flies. My only gripe was the bathroom which had little ventilation and the wall had gone green with mildew. It adds to the whole outdoor feeling, but after a while became a little stuffy and damp. I once found a huge lizard on my shower wall, which added to the experience, but overall, it’s a beautiful place. Nice and central, great service and they have a swimming pool.

We travelled here as a couple and had a really great time at this accommodation. The gardens were very beautiful and it felt like we were really in nature. Had also a great Balinese massage (1hr) at the accommodation for a very affordable price. I highly recommend this. The location was very central and easy to get to.

Off the main road so it has lighter traffic. Beautiful gardens and pools. Very helpful staff. Beautiful rooms with netting over the bed to keep any insects out while you sleep. Large rooms with furniture and privacy doors. Private balconies. Great breakfast options.

This place actually comfortable but it felt not quite private and I don't feel comfortable have to see the neighbours almost every time. Behind my unit also was a small road and I can hear (and see) everyone who passed it. I stayed in the fan cottage. It was a two story building with the spacious bathroom and common room on the ground floor, and bamboo wall's bedroom with fan in the upper ground. You will kinda smell damp when first time enter it, but it actually just a regular smell of bamboo. The room was clean and well maintained. - bathroom had cozy bathtub. - no bidet at all for the toilet - no hairdryer and no toothbrush - need some skill to adjust the temperature but it's ok. - they provide mini fridge and 4 bottles of spring water. - no room sandals. - the kettle have rust in the bottom so I don't use it. - on and off room wi-fi, but you can go to the restaurant area to find the stable one. And I agree that this place have very good breakfast. Well portioned and with many options you can freely choose. Just never forget to put your breakfast order at least the night before! And there are two friendly resident cats that will accompany your breakfast or everytime you go to the reception area.

The food was really good, and the staff are super friendly. However, the facilities are a bit lacking. The room was very dark inside with poor lighting with no proper windows to allow light into the room - there are only little decorative vent “windows” that don’t have screens, so my room was constantly full of mosquitos. Even with the mosquito net over the bed, the mosquitos were a nuisance. The wifi in the area of my room didn’t work most of the time i was there - I could only get wifi in the restaurant area. The toilet has no sprayer. The cleaning service didn’t do a good job cleaning the room each day - the floor was left unswept and i mopped, towels were left on the floor, and even plates of food and drinks from the previous day were left sitting on the table outside my room for several days. I had to ask for them to be removed. One of the reasons i chose this place was for the yoga classes, but they now charge hotel guests full price (same price as non guests walking in off the street). Most other yoga retreat hotels give either free or discounted yoga for the guests. I recommend the restaurant, but don’t recommend staying at this place. There are several much places with much better facilities on this same street for the same price.

I have been to the Honeymoon Guesthouse 3 times and every time is magical. They are like extended family, kind, courteous and friendly. The rooms are very traditional and comfortable, the breakfasts the best I have had any place I have stayed in Bali. Lay by the glorious pools, grab a book from the "library case", chat with visitors from all over the world, go to Casa Luna their associated coffee / lunch / dinner restaurant (a 5 min walk from Honeymoon), 5 min walk to the shops; restaurants, etc. Anything you need is never too much trouble. Such a great experience. I did not want to leave and will go back in a "heart beat". Deb (Australia)

Felt in love with this incredible place. If you have a look in their instagram account, none of the photos will defeat you. The place looks like an old castle with so many plants and green surrounding it. The rooms are big and incredible comfortable. The staff are one of the friendliest people on earth. The place is very clean. And the breakfast they give you during the morning (which you could ask to be delivered to your room!) is abundant and delicious! I can't wait to be back here!

A very typical and authentic Ubud hotel. Price quality unbeatable. We had an airco room which was just perfect. Good bed, big bathroom and very quiet. Beware the way to the room can get very slippery. Breakfast is indeed very good. Don't forget to book the evening in avance. We love this concept as this reduces waste. More hotels should do this...

Couldn't fault it. Fantastic room and grounds. Staff were great and facilities were all on site - pools, spa, cooking school. Easy walking distance to Monkey Forest and major shopping areas in Ubud.

Really picturesque place, lovely staff and comfy beds. Breakfast is very slow and we were forgotten both days we were there. The fan in our room made a heck of a noise. Overall a middling stay.

Amazing place very quiet and beautiful, pool was super clean staff was very friendly however when we went to the front desk to extend our stay they quoted us 3x what the Airbnb price was and we asked why and they said it was because breakfast was included. When we asked the price without breakfast it was ~330k idr. Felt a bit disappointed at the attempt to charge over $40 extra for breakfast. The day before we actually ate their breakfast at the restaurant on site and there was no prices listed and upon checking out it was over 400k idr for 2 people with very simple small portions. Only complaint is avoid buying their breakfast and go anywhere else on the street to save money and get delicious food! Stay was 10/10 Breakfast experience was 4/10

Awesome place to stay and relax. The only issue that we faced was some insects in the room, but I guess that's common in Ubud. The service was good. Good choice to stay here to relax and explore Ubud and around for few days.

We traveled this time with relatives from Ireland on their first trip to Bali so first impressions were important. Comfortable rooms, relaxing atmospheres & the location is excellent. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Ubud & easy travelling to many attractions? The staff were very courteous & accommodating. The avocado & tomatoes on Sourdough bread was particularly delicious for breakfast. A special thank you to Yudi for sorting out our previously confirmed room rates. Don’t forget to visit Casa Luna for dinner. The choices are excellent & the food delightful.

A beautiful relaxing place to stay. In the centre of Ubud, Bisma street has everything you need and is not so busy. The banana pancakes at Honeymoon are the best, I got them 8 years ago when I first visited and was glad this time they were still making them 😁 The staff are so kind and helpful. We look forward to our next visit at Honeymoon.

Very friendly staff and professional. My girlfriend and I went two days in a row for massages. I requested the same woman to massage me (Reni, she is excellent!). I asked for a stronger massage and to focus on my back mostly, no problem. You can tell the staff are professionally trained and there are no typical tricks like you will run into at other spas in Indonesia regarding hidden fees and stuff like that. Totally recommend. It was also really cool to walk around the property because it almost feels like the guesthouse is a traditional Balinese temple in and of itself. Super peaceful and beautiful
