was the worst hotel of my life. I could write a whole book but it's not even worth that much. Let's start with the fact that they automatically deducted 25€ more from the booked price without a word. The sockets in the room are life threatening. The bathroom is filthy everywhere. The staff are like student workers. At breakfast the staff were not prepared to receive guests. The coffee machine worked 1 time out of 4 days. So many positives, it is in a good location but I absolutely do not recommend this accommodation.

We had the worst experience with the lady at the check-in reception, her name was Juli. I had booked a deluxe room and showed my booking confirmation at arrival. She denied that because her system showed a regular standard room booking on my name. Although since I had paid for the deluxe room upfront and even showed her the confirmation email, I obviously persisted in getting that room. After discussing this for 10 minutes (she even said I had modified the email), she finally agreed on putting us in a deluxe room, in a very bad mood, but told us the room isn’t ready yet (it was 6:30 pm, +4 hours after check in time)… So she sat us down on the sofa and let us wait in the lobby. After asking twice when the room would be ready, she just replied, in 3 minutes. After waiting another 10 minutes, I got up again to ask if we could at least leave our bags in the room, cause we wanted to go for dinner & not wait around in that lobby. And then she replied: β€œsure, your room is ready!” Instead of telling is in the first place, she on purpose made us get up and keep asking her. That was the rudest encounter I ever had in a β€œhotel”. I would not stay there again. The property & location is good, nice infinity pool, and the rest of the staff is very attentive. But because of that disappointing experience with Juli - the mistreatment as paying guests - and also the lack of cleanliness in the rooms (mold, smells and clogged drainages) I can not recommend this hotel!!! The manager should consider getting better training for certain staff members

If the people are very nice and helpful, the rooms are awful: musty smell, bathroom ventilation so disgusting that dust falls on the toilet, clogged bathtub drain and moldy equipment. Deluxe room with balcony and garden view? Not really, view of people passing noisily!

Decent experience for the price. Rooms are poorly lit and shower was very weak but was fixed after telling housekeeping. Average breakfast. Everything else was good, no complaints.

Visited this gem hotel a few days ago. This hotel is located on a street nearby to monkey forest. First of all, the hotel is easily accessible. The reception staff is so humble and courteous and serve you guiding to your room. They have a beautiful restaurant beside the entrance gate. The hotel area is so big till deep down. This whole area is full of greenery. They have two beautiful swimming pools. They got many separate buiding as well as bamboo houses. The rooms are so clean and spacious and bathroom also so big with bathtub. All basic amenities are there for you. The other pool deep down is like private pool which seems between a forest and I enjoyed alot swimming there. The service of pool side restaurant is also nice the way they presented the food. Foods and drinks are also delicious. The entire hotel area is soo calm and feels soo private that u own it. . Staff service is also nice. Overall I enjoyed alot my time there. Hotel price is affordable and worth. Plenty of parking. Fully secured area. Highly recommended in Ubud.

I stayed for 3 days and found this property as quite place to stay. I am mentioning my points including both positive n negative, which will help you to make ur decision. Location *** 3.5/10 10-15 walk to main UBUD market area Resort *** 3/5 Rooms ***2.5/5 Rooms were big with enough cupboards for your luggage with full glass on 1 side. However light was dim n there was no latest power sockets. It may be problem for you if u carrying lot of gadgets .Adaptor was not going inside those sockets. Wifi was weak in ground floor rooms. Pool ****4.5/5 That is main attraction. Property has 2 pools one just in the starting (useless as no privacy) and one at last with forest view.(altough depth is 5.5 ft) and has good space for yoga n meditation. Overall resort is neat n clean with ample amount of greenery n peace. Bedsheet was also not clean and they have changes on our request.

Staff were super nice and helpful! There are two large pools which get the sun all day and are really clean. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. Located is perfect right in the centre of Ubud near monkey forest, but was very quiet! Will definitely be back!

After the negative reviews we were a bit sceptical, but we were really positively surprised of the accommodation. We had deluxe rooms on the first floor, which can definitely be recommended. We had no mould and the rooms were really nice. There was also a small fridge. As already mentioned the staff is very friendly and helpful. The complex is long, at the very back is the second nicer pool. From there, you look out over a beautiful palm landscape. On one side there are still rice fields, on the other side there is currently a construction site. All rooms have the terrace to the middle of the complex. The location is at the margin of the centre, Bisma Street is a bit quieter than other streets. You can walk to Ubud Palace or to shops and restaurants in the area.

The worst hotel I've stayed ever!! This is not a hotel, but just a Motel. Most of motel must be much better than this. 1st day's room bathtub drain cap was out of order(broken), mechanic told me that just use without the drain cap...lol. furthermore room condition was really dirty specially the bathroom with molds, and closet was full with smell of dirty blanket... coffee pot's cap broken, asked to change the room but I couldn't due to fullbook, just could change to other room on 2nd night. Problem again with water drain at tub, asked piercing the plumb. Then I got shocked about staff brought "Toilet-piercing tool" with no hesitation. Toilet tool in bathtub???? Staffs have definately no sense of hygiene. Moreover, the next building was doing construction even around the midnight, noisy hammer sound, don't think about quiet rest. For 3 week's staying at Bali, here's absolutely worst one I regret to book. Nothing worth to pay for the room charge on this kind of lodge. What's wrong with other possive reviews here??

Just completed a 3 night stay here and honestly have nothing bad to say about it. Upon arrival we received refreshing welcome drinks and we're promptly shown to our rooms. The rooms were huge! Myself and my girlfriend had a queen where as some of our friends had single bed rooms. The rooms were light and airy boasting a TV, mini fridge and wardrobe. The air-conditioning was amazing and was refreshing after a long day in the sun. The bathrooms were pretty great also the best quality being the bath (of which I have not had since I began traveling over a year ago). The infinity pool was beautiful with views of the forest and coconut tree groves. The breakfast was your standard continental but had a good variety of fresh fruit juices. The hotels proximity to the monkey forest should be one of its best selling points. It is quite literally only 10 minutes down the road. The staff were really friendly, everyone I spoke to was really happy and jolly, willing to have a laugh with you and make your stay that much better.

Pros: Very nice location, as there are a lot of restaurants available nearby. Cons: 1. Room maintanance is not up to the mark, there were Ants in the room. 2. They are not changing the towels everyday, they may by expecting the room cleaning to marked exceptionally. 3. There were Rats in the Dining area. Overall, compared to other Hotels in the same price range that I stayed in Bali, I expect the same from this hotel, which they failed to Deliver.

Very nice swimming pools, good location. Cleaning should be better, bathrooms need an upgrade. I had mice in my room and the staff didn't seem to care. I really love animals, but still ;)

The grounds are lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The infinity pool and area around it are great, the pool is smaller than it looks it photos but still very nice. We had the basic room and reading the reviews, the experience can be quite different depending on which room type you have. The basic rooms were clean on the surface, but not properly clean by any stretch of the imagination! There was some sort of leak/mould on the ceiling, the corners of the room were dirty, the bathroom was quite dated, mould in places, shower curtain falling off and needed a clean, dirt on the wall by the toilet (very suspicious!). Overall- a mixed bag! Fine for a short stay, if you know what you’re getting for the price.

Nice and cosy rooms with two pools and a garden. The service is also excellent. The location is great near to monkey forest. 5-8 min scooty drive.

Nice enough place near the centre of Ubud. We stayed mainly in the Premium Room which was very nice, including the bathroom which had separate bath tub and shower. We had to extend our stay for another night and had to move to a De Luxe Room. The bathroom is very differently laid out as you would expect. But what is disappointing is that the shower fixtures themselves are of low quality aside from being a combination shower/bath. There are 2 swimming pools in the property and the one at the back is nicer because it gets the sun most of the day and has a big space for louging on bean bag beds in the garden. For food, there are a few places around that offered very good food at more reasonable prices. There are also a few massage places just a few steps from the hotel, although the hotel also offers massages and food in their restaurant. Most of the reception staff were nice and helpful, but one lady needed a bit of convincing to be helpful. When we were checking out, the road to the hotel was closed due to some cremation ceremony. Our pick up had to meet us somewhere else but with 4 big luggage and cobblestone roads, it would have been very difficult for us to walk to the meeting place. My wife asked reception what our options were to get someone to help and this lady at reception said she could not help. My wife suggested getting one of the staff to bring our luggage on a scooter. She initially said that's not possible until my wife asked why not. She then agreed to arrange it for us. All in all, a good hotel to stay but the hotel needs to improve their consistency both in their room facilities as well as in their service standards. An oh yeah, there is a water kettle in alm the rooms but be ready to wait up to 20 minutes for the water to boil.

nothing much in the neighbourhood. 15-20 mins walk to the Monkey forest and around 30mins walk to the heart of Ubud. Room is huge, and the staff provided a nice welcome.

Nice and clean hotel. The swimming pool is amazing and there are not too many people. It is close from the centre but not too noisy.

We had a great time here! We stayed in the villa in the backend of the hotel, and they were very good with a great view of the pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we had problems with the internet and they fixed it right away. The monkey forest is about 15 minutes away and the main road is 20 minutes away. Great breakfast at this place!!

Very calm spot for ubud. Pool at the garden was awesome. Service was excellent. Wenda was so friendly. Room where clean enough... could be a bit refresh (bathroom). Location was great to have access to multiple restaurant, activites and more. I would go back there definetly. Breakfast was ok. It doesnt need a lot more to be good... but everything is kind of bhaaaa.

Pros: Beautiful sunset view from the 2nd swimming pool. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Cons: Room is pretty basic for the price, has no Balinese touch, I found it quite plain- no art neither craftness. Bath up was leaking to the bathroom floor. Swimming pool smells like chlor, and full of mosquitos the moment is dark. Wifi is slooow and poor, mobile network most of the time only Edfe.

Rooms and services were excellent.. But location was quite odd with lots of flats squeezed in one property. Restaurant was great too.

This hotel is very nice. The staff is attentive, quick to help you and kind. We got welcome drink at check in. The rooms were spacious, clean and reasonably priced. For 2 nights it was 1.100.000 IDR. The AC was working fine, the shower pressure was the best we had in our 14 days travel through Indonesia and it was very peaceful and quiet. The only complaint I have is very slow Wi-Fi and it seems the coverage for mobile data is also on the edge of reach, cuz I was only getting 3G or nothing. The room seems a bit moist, but I think it is because of all the surrounding rice fields. It is not a problem, since they change sheets and towels everyday. Would strongly recommend

I would personally avoid this place. Photos look much better online than in person. We saw multiple guests arrive and look just as disappointed as us. Very underwhelming rooms. We stayed in the Superior Deulux room. - Bed is uncomfortable. Spring mattress, cheap sheets, 1 pillow each. - Noisy, you can hear your neighbours and live music. - AC remote stopped working. Bathrooms are not maintained and barely clean. - Mould in the corners and grout. - Water pressure is a joke. - Black spores and smudges all over the mirror. We booked this hotel last minute as our usual hotel had no availability. Unfortunately staying here took away some of Ubuds magic.

Super nice location in Ubud. First to say, service is amazing. They help you on every problem. The infinity pool close to the jungle is amazing, very silent and the view is awesome. To be honest, we had one of the new villas in the back close to the jungle pool. The room is very easy equipped and the isolation of the roof is not made for heavy rains. Walls are from wood, nice to stay. The bathroom contains the wardrobe and is made fron stone properly, so all your stuff is staying dry and clean. The breakfast is very standard, you don't have so much choice but they make fresh omeletts / eggs and you have all basics of east asian breakfasts. The juices unfortunately get added sugar and are too sweet. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had a great time :-) see you

Stayed here for five nights. My room was with garden view, with a porch, near the pool, quite spacious n with a bathtub. Could not sleep well on the first night as there were some bugs on the bed, next morning i complained n the issue solved. There were some ants inside the room, noisy air con, n not sound proof wall. If you are into modern stuffs, this may not be a place for you. I love the surroundings, therefore extended until five nights. Plus the room i stayed in usually quiet at times, so not realy bothered with small stuffs. If there are issues, staffs would help solving them right away.

Not my favourite place to stay. It boasts up market but I felt like it was a little tired. The grounds staff and room service are very friendly. The desk staff could do with a little more friendliness, but it was probably just a bad day for them. The other Pertiwi (on Monkey Forest Rd) is much nicer in my view, although this one has awesome views of the river and quite a beautiful pool down the back. I did not use it because it had not been cleaned in the early morning that I wanted to swim. I imagine they clean it a little later in the morning. I've heard good reports!

  • 3/5 Jessica J. 5 years ago on Google
Nice pools, especially the infinity pool at the back. Rooms damp and musty smelling with mould in bathroom - obviously not very well made or designed. Breakfast passable, but could be better. Staff very friendly. Quite a walk to monkey forest or restaurants down a bumpy dirty road - safe to walk but maybe not too late at night. Definitely not worth the steep prices here; you can get a much nicer room, and more central, for half the price in a perhaps more traditional style Balinese hotel.

  • 5/5 Phupairum P. 5 years ago on Google
All the staffs are very nice and friendly. Breakfast is okay. Room are spacious. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is large. There is no hair dryer in the room but you can request. There are 2 swimming pools. The road to go to this hotel is bad. Should improve.

We stayed here couple of years back when Bali was not a destination for any Indians. No regular flights and certainly no flights from Delhi. We travelled from you n PB 2 was our second hotel and we stayed for 3 nights. 1st day we had a disappointing breakfast and we told them upfront. It was raining n there were just few rooms occupier that day. Next day onwards as if the head chef returned and it was great during bf. Rooms were lovely and layout was amazing.. they also had a infinity pool but it wasn't a lap pool. The pool at the enterence was a disappointment and more of an obstruction to all. Stay was peaceful and approach at night for line travellers was bit scary.

  • 2/5 Alexander T. 2 years ago on Google
Not interested receptionist staff. Staff needs more training. Shame because the surroundings are nice. However the rooms need updating. Moisture problems as mentioned in other reviews and they have not spent any money on updating their bathrooms while in the mean time charging guests still ridiculous amount of money. Would not recommend. Most of the reviews are about guests entertained by a different culture. It’s hard to find a hotel under 8 rating in ubud.
