This is a friendly hostel with a beautiful pool overlooking the green fields! The people are very chill, there's no noise at night and can sleep quietly even in a dorm. The place is not too far from the center and offer breakfast made to order, although it's only a small portion of omelette or pancakes. It has bottled water to fill your water bootle and has indoor and outdoor showers and toilets. Shower gel and shampoo are provided which is nice! The management is having some issues with double booking though, so make sure to give them a call prior to your check-in!

We had an amazing stay at Green Paddy. Owner was a really cool guy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with AC and I liked the indoor/outdoor bathrooms. Pool was awesome and very much needed in 37°c weather! It's a 10 minute drive outside of town but they rent scooters for 60k per day and have free shuttles which make it easy to get around. We did the shared tour around Ubud which was great and the sunrise hike up Mt Batar which was ok (after doing it I didn't think you need a guide).

We stayed here for 4 nights in a bungalow, can't fault it. Lovely room with ice cold ac and a nice pool. Also good value food and drink available on site, aswell as scooters to rent and many tours. Paddy hostel organised the climbing of Mt Batu which was a great experience. We will definitely be back 🙂 Regards Harry

🌾 🍛 🏊‍♂️ 🌿 👨‍👩‍👦 😎 🤩 🙏 I stayed here for a few weeks … It was just a pleasure. Stuff is super friendly, my bungalow was amazing and foods was always good. It is a little bit outside of the center and therefore super quiet with wonderful view on the rice fields.

Lovely place. Super cozy and good location. The beds where comfy and the toilets very clean. There is also a nice backpacking vibe and you get to start your day with a very decent brekkie (which is included). I highly recommend it

Very nice hostel, the rooms weren't all that clean. But the people were friendly, the food was good and it was nice that the location was a little bit outside of Ubud. They want to help u book with all the things that there are to do in the area!

We stayed in the bungalow and it was great. It's a cute bungalow with a bathtub and airco. And it's cheap. The view in the pool was also great. You have a view of the ricefields, lovely!! Also its a clean hostel with good Indonesian food. We kept extending because we couldn't leave the hostel, we met some lovely people. It's a social hostel where you can sleep at night. It's not a party hostel! Also the people of the hostel are really friendly, explain a lot about their culture, you can do tours from out of there and they are always happy to help with anything. We had an amazing experience.

Great spot in Ubud, came here with 4 friends. We’re from a cold spot in America so the heat was rough in the big shared dorm but great value overall. What puts it over the top is the helpful staff with airport transfers, scooter rentals, and the morning hike of Mt. Batur!

I had a wonderful stay! We came during slow season so there weren’t a lot of people. Nice and quiet. Away from the busy side of Ubud, but not far (maybe 10 min ride). They come and clean the rooms & make the beds everyday. The staff was so friendly and helpful with booking tours. A/C worked great. Only thing is mosquitoes could get in and the bed was springs so not the most comfortable. I’m not picky I would stay again.

You couldn't ask for more - the villa is located in a very lovely, quiet area in the ricefields, still not too far away from the center. The staff is super sweet, always helpful and everything is clean. I came back here multiple times and it makes you feel like home.

Great time. Highlights were the beautiful location and really friendly atmosphere. The Green Paddy is outside central Ubud, but they provide free transport in, or alternatively you can hire a scooter there for a very reasonable price. The location is very beautiful and peaceful. The atmosphere is tranquil, and the guests and staff add to this. Not a party hostel by any means, but you can meet some great people there. All of the staff were really friendly and provided help and good information. The breakfasts were tasty. They also organise a plethora of different excursions and transport for relatively good prices. The dormitories were wooden cabins with bunk beds. They had everything you need, and had a traditional feel. The bathroom in ours was particularly nice. The only con of staying here was the loudness in the room. Everything was quite creaky! Plus, one morning we were woken by builders next door hammering. Though this is not within the control of the hostel. Overall, Green Paddy exceeded my expectations and was an excellent place to stay. If you're looking for a relaxing spot in Ubud, choose this place!

I stayed at Green Paddy last June while I was visiting Bali on a solo trip. I cannot speak more highly of this hostel, the experience, and the locals who work here. From their banana pancake breakfasts, affordable full day excursions, and the kindness of the locals, I definitely recommend this hostel for your trip. They really cared about my experience and ensured that I was getting the most out of my trip. With Green Paddy, I was able to see the main attractions, book tickets to other places in Bali, and make new friends. Staying here was one of the highlights of my Bali trip!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! Super clean, beautiful and functional rooms (curtains, towels and lockers for each bed), amazing view, friendly and helpful staff, affordable laundry service, and a delicious restaurant on the ground floor. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere!

Beautiful place and very friendly staff! The breakfast was included and simply perfect (pancakes, omelette or scrumbled eggs with fruits). Located outside of town, but quiet in a great way plus a free shuttle to town three times per day. Rooms in a style typical for Bali which was beautiful. Only thing to critisize is that they overbooked the hostel and thus wanted to transfer us to a different place which didn't look very inviting. However, when we complained they moved us back to the actual hostel and upgraded us to a bedroom for two.

Lovely helpful staff, offer shuttles to nearish the centre for free and very flexible and friendly - also good vibes from other guests, just might save a bit if self organising some activities

If you're thinking about going to Ubud, looking for the best hostel possible and you are reading this now... Don't look further, you found it! I spent almost 2 weeks in total at the Green Paddy and I felt at home every second (I actually left and came back because it was that good). The team is so welcoming, friendly and helpful that you can be sure you will be feeling the same. The place is fabulous, cute little plants and flowers, the swimming pool is clean and fresh, the beds are comfy (I was in the women's dorm), mosquito nets, working a/c, there even was a mosquito repellent for nights. You get a free breakfast (pancake or omelette are really good) that should get you to start your day perfectly. It is also a social place (but not noisy at night), I met some very interesting and inspiring people during my stays. The only thing that might give doubts at first is the fact that it is outside of town. Yes, but they offer a free shuttle to town, and you can stay in this quiet place right alongside the rice fields and not far from the main road where you can walk to find some good restaurants close by (try the Warung Hana) and a supermarket less than 5min walk. They also organise tours around Ubud, and to a lot of different places, so for the people spending a short time here, you get to see most of Ubud's principal spots in 1 day but also organise your next trip to other places for a reasonable price (transport to Gili's, Nusa's, or anywhere really...). What else? You will get to know two wonderful and cute little cats that are also making sure that you have a wonderful stay. I know I will come back to Ubud, and I already know I will stay again at the Green Paddy. Big thanks to all of you there!

Easily one of my favorite places I have stayed in Asia! 🥹💕 The villa has very peaceful but also social vibes and literally everyone I met there from employees to guests were such nice people. The stuff is extremely friendly and caring and goes above and beyond for their guests. They offer many different tours and transportion for good prices and they have a kitchen as well. The food was delicious, I already miss it. If I am ever in Ubud again, I know where to stay and I will be forever recommending this place to everybody. Teramakasiii🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻❤️

Super friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, quite clean facilities and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice pool! Good and simple breakfast. Good Wi-Fi. Location is not central but they offer free transfer to the center of ubud. Only negative side is the amount of mosquitos!

Chill place, Ubud center is in walking distance, decent breakfast. But mainly i‘m writing this review because the man who runs this hostel goes above and beyond for his guests. Giving people lifts at 2am is nothing i‘d take for granted anywhere.

Seriously a lovely place, traditional wooden buildings with a nice view of the rice paddys. The owners are amazing and go above and beyond for you. So friendly and make you feel like you are coming home.

I booked a room three months in advance and they contacted me just days before to say it had been double booked. They mentioned being able to switch me to a lower quality room but didn’t mention the price. Luckily I was able to find a better room in the city center
