We
discovered
Padi
restaurant
through
TripAdvisor
and
after
reading
70
reviews,
all
of
them
5
stars,
we
obviously
had
to
try
this
restaurant.
We
are
serious
food
lovers
and
traveled
the
world
extensively.
Honestly,
we
cannot
understand
how
70
out
of
70
reviews,
all
are
5
stars
and
say
that
it
was
the
best
experience
ever.
Some
even
claim
that
Padi
should
be
a
3
star
Michelin
restaurant.
In
our
opinion,
these
reviews
should
be
deleted
as
they
do
not
make
justice
to
a
Michelin
starred
restaurant.
Padi
might
have
the
potential,
to
one
day,
be
Michelin
stared,
but
as
of
today,
it
definitely
isn't.
Both
of
us
had
the
degustation
7-course
menu
(one
of
them
with
pairing)
and
unfortunately
were
very
disappointed
with
what
was
served
to
us.
The
pairing
was
very
odd,
with
most
of
the
drinks
being
very
sweet.
The
food
itself
was
either
nothing
special
or
odd
flavors.
The
service
from
several
waiters
felt
a
bit
"too
much"
and
always
on
top
of
us
and
it
isn't
natural
to
have
so
many
waiters
attending
to
you.
The
English
level
is
poor,
and
we
had
difficulty
understanding
what
they
were
saying.
Most
of
the
dishes
we
couldn't
understand
at
least
half
of
the
ingredients.
On
top
of
that,
all
the
waiters
put
a
lot
of
effort
into
promoting
TripAdvisor
and
telling
us
to
mention
their
name
on
our
review.
Neither
of
these
is
part
of
a
fine
dining
experience.
To
finalize,
we've
had
actual
Michelin
star
meals
in
the
past,
which
were
cheaper
than
this
one.
We
wouldn't
have
had
any
problem
paying
for
the
meal,
whatever
the
price,
but
this
definitely
wasn't
worth
the
money
asked.
Both
of
us
paid
just
over
4
million
IDP,
which
comes
to
almost
$400
AUD,
€240
or
$280
USD.
From
all
the
dishes
we
had
and
the
pairings,
nothing
was
amazing,
nothing
made
us
think
this
was
a
great
experience
and
definitely
nothing
made
us,
at
any
time,
want
to
come
back.
What
surprises
us
the
most,
is
that
from
70
reviews
here
on
TripAdvisor,
not
a
single
one
is
under
5
stars
and
not
a
single
one
mentions
anything
negative.
We'd
like
also
to
mention
that
if
you
end
up
going
there
(food
tasting
is
a
very
subjective
matter)
we'd
recommend
dining
inside
since
outside
it
is
very
noisy
due
to
several
AC
units
which
totally
distract
you
from
the
natural
and
peaceful
sounds
of
the
river
flowing
below
you.
We
hope
that
others
have
a
much
better
experience
than
us.
We
came
with
hopes
of
having
a
fantastic
dining
experience,
and
came
out
very
disappointed.
