I usually don’t write reviews like this but I have to be completely honest in case anyone else is in the same position as me. I do not recommend this clinic. I recommend booking an appointment at a brilliant clinic called Ubud Care Premium instead. I booked an appointment at Ubud Royal Medical after my skin started flaring up with painful, burning red bumps. I visited this clinic because it had amazing reviews, but my experience was below average. The first thing I noticed is the lack of compassion from the staff. That sense of care wasn’t there, and the doctor that saw me was playing a guessing game with my diagnosis. He said it was a bacterial infection and prescribed me with a cream to use. However, the cream made my symptoms so much worse. The nurse who had to draw my blood did not have confidence with what she was doing and was very hesitant during the process. After my appointment, nobody ever followed up to check on me. It has now been 6 days since my appointment as I write this and I never received a message to ask how I’m doing, if the cream is working or if my symptoms are improving. On Sunday, my symptoms had gotten much worse and I was in agony. I contacted Ubud Royal Medical and they told me to go to a hospital. But all the hospitals I contacted had no dermatologists on site due to it being a Sunday. So I decided to book an appointment with Ubud Care Premium instead, to get a second opinion. The experience at the second clinic was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so compassionate and caring, the general practitioner did a few tests to get an accurate diagnosis and provided me with a painkiller injection. The same day, I got my diagnosis and the doctor said I was having an allergic reaction. The cream prescribed by Ubud Royal Medical had made my skin worse because I had been using an antibiotic cream on an allergy reaction. The second clinic, Ubud Care Premium, have checked up on me every few days to make sure I’m doing okay. They’ve offered to refer me to a highly recommended dermatologist that they refer their patients to and have much better customer service. They really care, they go above and beyond to help, they ask if you are okay and they all said “get well soon” - something so simple that makes you feel cared for. Like I said, I’m not one to write these types of reviews but the level of care I received from the second clinic, compared to Ubud Royal Medical is such an extreme leap and I had to share. I was highly disappointed with my experience at Ubud Royal Medical. They did not run any tests to get an accurate diagnosis for me, they did not provide any painkillers and they prescribed me an incorrect cream which made my pain so much worse. The staff were silent, other than the time I had to make a payment, but nobody said “get well soon” or asked me if I was okay. The difference between the two clinics is shocking, and I never would have known if I hadn’t made an appointment at the second clinic.

This medical centre was of better quality than my doctor in Australia. Firstly, the place was absolutely spotless, the doctor was thorough, friendly, understanding and left me feeling like I was looked after by professionals. Nurses and staff were lovely and I've definitely found my Ubud doctor from now on. Thankyou 🙏 feeling much better now 😊 Also, the wait time was one minute which was absolutely amazing. They have a WhatsApp number to make appointments too. I'm so impressed.

I had some issues with my ear and decided at the last day of our trip to go to the Ubud Royal Medical. I'm happy we did. The assistants at the lobby were very friendly and spoke great English. I didn't have to wait so long, and when I came to the doctor she heard my story and explained me what she thinks it could be and what she was going to do. She checked my ear but told me she would like to give me some medicine so I can fly in peace, but she would recommend me to go home directly to my ear doctor. So did I and thanks to the medicine she gave me, I could fly in peace. Here in Europe when I visited my doctor, he told the drops I got from the Ubud Royal Medical were amazing, he miss something like that in Europe and I should be happy to have gotten those. So, thank you for everything, next time I would not wait to go there if I need any medical help :)

We chose the clinic based on reviews in Google Maps and were not mistaken. Apart from the courtesy of the staff, the doctor was a professional. I was carefully questioned, and the doctor gave detailed explanations to all my questions. We did a complete blood test - the results came within 4 hours. Everything is clean, sterile, blood sampling was done quickly and painlessly. Thank you so much for your professionalism!

I actually think this was one of the best medical center I’ve ever been to. I had problems with ingrown toe nail. I texted them, had a appointment 30min later. The doctor took a look, explained me the situation/problem with it and treated it with no wait time. Toe healed very good. On top they are very friendly and speak good English and are very professional. If you have problems, I would definitely recommend to come here.

I fell in amed 3 days ago and was in the clinic because of a cut. Under no circumstances did I want to have it stitched there because the clinic seemed unhygienic to me. So I came here 3 days later for a checkup and was there last night around 9 p.m. and got my turn right away. The doctor and assistant were so incredibly nice and professional. He explained to me again that it actually needed to be sewn and that today we're going to glue it with strips so that I don't have an open wound. (They didn't do that in amed) I also got bandages and a detailed explanation! I was there for about 30 minutes and felt very comfortable! In addition, I paid 250,000 rupiah less than in amed. So 10 out of 5 stars for the great team! ❤️

I spoke to Dr Tomik about an issue I've been having. He was very patient, non-judgemental, and took the time to make sure I understood what were the next steps to take. He and the staff made sure to find out which pharmacy stocked the medication I needed to and supplied what they could from there. In the days following, I received a whatsapp message asking how my condition had progressed and to see if I had any other questions. He was able to give me further advice and sent me through another script as I had finished the packet. Overall the experience has been very professional and I feel it is a level of care that goes above and beyond what I am used to in my country of Australia.

Excellent care, very fair pricing. Dr Tomik put my mind at ease and made sure I made the right choice for treatment after a monkey bite sustained at Ubud Monkey Sanctuary.

I came here after I fell on my Hand on Mt. Agung and cut a small but deep hole in my Hand which also giot quite dirty due to the dusty environment. The doctor and nurse were very professional. They sterilised and cleaned the wound very well and the stitches looked also very neat. All of the staff were extremely friendly, understanding and helpful. In my humble and unprofessional view the small clinic is up to European standard. Thanks to them the cut healed within a very short time and did not get infected. Thank you very much for your help.

My partner came down with the dreaded Bali belly on Monday night and his symptoms progressed quite quickly. The receptionist at the hotel called around and found that Ubud Royal was the fastest for a hotel visit. From the beginning all the staff (doctor/nurse etc.) were very professional and gentle and listened to my partner intently. They administered an IV drip and gave him medication to help and he has been much better since. They also stayed past closing time (stayed at our hotel until 11pm) to keep monitoring my partners symptoms. The total for everything was roughly $300AUD for the home visit and monitoring, but it’s worth every cent. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good doctor who can speak good English around Ubud!

We went here after a motorbike accident with several smaller wounds on knee, elbow and hand as well as a burn wound (from an exhaustion pipe). The doctor was very friendly and took very good and patient care of our wounds. We felt like we were in very good hands here each time (3 visits to change bandages), would definitely come again if the need ever arises!

Great clinic in central Ubud! The staff is super professional and kind (Tomik and Dara are super helpful!). And is by far the most affordable place that I found to change my wound dressings. Best price in central Ubud for this kind of service.

I am Korean. My friend had severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting due to poor food and water intake, so I called a doctor to the hotel. A doctor and nurse visited the hotel and gave me medication and medication according to my symptoms. I was also able to receive documents to be delivered to the insurance company via WhatsApp and email. I brought my credit card and paid within the hotel. I was worried because it seemed like a small hospital, but I am very satisfied. After treatment, my symptoms improved significantly.

Worthless and a scam. We went for an injury on a toe and they gave us antibiotics for the eye which of course it didn’t help at all. We had to go to a hospital for treatment. Edited: the reply you are giving me shows as well the poor English you offer for your services. From the money you scam to tourists, you could at least invest it on improving your English cause it’s not as good as states on your website.

This hospital is absolutely kind and efficient. I unfortunately got an injury in the leg from an terrible pavement in Ubud. The doctor and his staff took care of it with heart and humour several times, at my residence at first, and at the hospital later. I was able to get responses through WhatsApp almost immediately. They also handled for sure the documents necessary for my traveler's insurance. The hospital is strongly recommended to the travellers, who are naturally strangers in this town.

Heard so many good things about this place so I decided to come here to change my toe dressing. Sadly, I had quite a disappointing experience here. I was feeling no pain and walking fine until I got to the hospital, but after treatment I couldn’t walk properly for two whole days. I also had to take prescribed painkillers(which the doctor at this clinic told me to stop taking) I got from the previous hospital, because of continued cutting pain. I still can’t believe a simple change of dressing caused all this problem. The staff at the hospital weren't very attentive. They didn't seem to care when I mentioned I was feeling pain during treatment, which was very different from my experience at another local hospital. I asked them to be more gentle but they just told me that a toe is a sensitive part. It turned out the staff didn’t take enough time for the dressing to be soaked, so when they removed it, it was basically ‘ripped off’, thereby traumatizing the wound, possibly even reopening it(I can see bits of blood coming out of the wound in the picture taken during the treatment). I found this out because even I, with no medical training, could remove the gauze that was stuck to the wound(no wonder after what happened at the hospital) without any pain after thoroughly soaking it. I understand it’s easier to just rip off the dressing when it’s stuck, but I’m just so frustrated that only an extra ten minutes could have saved all the problem I had to go through.

My partner became quite unwell with Bali Belly - we went to visit the medical centre and they were fantastic. The doctor listened to everything and discussed with us what the cause may have been and the reason for different symptoms. He then treated my partner and prescribed antibiotics with some other appropriate medications. We were really pleased with the service and care provided.

Highly recommend this medical centre. It's nice and modern and the staff is very kind and professional. I was informed at the reception about the consultation price before I met my doctor so it didn't come as a surprise. My doctor, Dr. Tomik was very kind and understanding. He examined me thoroughly and informed me about possible causes of my issue. He prescribed antibiotics and gave me his phone number so I can contact him anytime if I had questions or further issues. A few days later he contacted me to double check how I'm feeling and if my condition has improved (which luckily has). I definitely felt cared for.

Amazing medical practice in Ubud. Fast and extremely professional service. They picked me up, treated me well and with so much care, I had test results within a coupe of hrs and medication delivered to my house by the end of the day. I could say I had better experience here in Bali than in Australia or Europe.

Adding on to all the 5 stars this place has because I was so impressed by how professional this place was. We were the last ones in the clinic as my friend was sick at night and they waited for us to make sure my friend was feeling better. Doctor speaks really good English and so does the rest of the staff. No one hopes to go to the clinic on holiday but if you have to come to this one!

I highly recommend this clinic. I came there today because I fell on a slippy rock. I had a deep cut under my left knee. The doctor fixed it with 6 stitches. Her also spoke English very well and explained everything to me during the process. He was very kind and I had no pain. He also gave painkillers to me and antibiotics for the next 3 days. Also he gave me sterile bandage and all the stuff I need to change the bandage every second day. I got a medical report for my insurance in Germany. The nurses were very friendly too and I felt good all the time. To sum up: If you need a doctor (I hope you won‘t ;) ) this is a place we’re you can go without hesitation!

When I was injured in Bali I attended Dr Tomis clinic. Friendly staff and a nice professional environment who helped me get the treatment I needed. Dr tomi arranged transfer to and from the hospital so I didn’t need to worry about getting there. Great service and genuine help and care!

This clinic is one of the best clinics in Bali. They are very professional and helpful with a great level of English. They helped me a lot with my Rabies Vaccine. Better than my expectations! The staff here are super clean and professional. I went in for an infection on a walk in request and they got me on the meds to get me back up and moving for my trip! The cost was very reasonable, the directions for my medications were very clear. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

My husband and I were traveling to Ubud in Dec. 2023. My husband got Bali belly and was throwing up non stop. We couldn’t even make it to our hotel. I had to find the nearest hotel so he can rest and try to sleep it off. I was really worried about him and I called Ubud Royal Medical. Dr. Tomik and his assistant came with in 30 minutes and confirmed that he had Bali Bali. I was so nervous because I’m in a different country. I felt comfortable right away meeting with the doctor. The doctor hooked up my with a IV and he brought all the proper medication in his suitcase, which was so convenient because I didn’t even know where the nearest pharmacy was. Everything was sterile and clean. I am very thankful for the medical office and Dr. Tomik. They stayed until all the IV was done and answered all my questions. The doctor checked in with us throughout the day, and even a few days after. I had follow up questions about the medication and the appreciated the speedy response. I give this medical team a 10/10. I visited this hospital because I got burned by a motorcycle exhaust, and it was friendly and clean. I don't know the cost of other hospitals, but I think it wasn't expensive even considering I was a foreigner! He explained things using a translator and processed the insurance documents well! 👍

I came here after looking for a hospital because my husband was sick. The doctors and nurses are all friendly. Don't worry if you can't communicate. He uses Google Translator on the monitor to communicate. Thorough preparation is commendable. We are very grateful. Lastly, you will also receive insurance-related documents. I went to the hospital after suffering a bike burn. The doctor was kind and thoroughly cleaned the wound. I couldn't go to the hospital often because I didn't have travel insurance, but I'm so thankful that they responded to my questions through WhatsApp. I met a very good doctor in Ubud and was able to recover quickly while traveling. thank you
