Alright people. The 4.8 score is no hype. This is by far the best food I’ve had in Ubud. I’m not a vegetarian, but that Burger is the nicest vegan burger I have eaten in 20+ years. Combine it with the Yuka fries and then wash it down with any of the tea drinks on offer. my only regret is not leaving enough space for the desserts, which look amazing for vegan based desserts. You must go.

I took a workshop and regular class with Elaina, and I am looking forward to more! These were amongst some of my favorite yoga class experiences as I really like the way she teaches more traditional yoga; including combining breathwork, asana, chanting, and meditation. The flow is very helpful on both the mental and physical levels for me. Elaina learned this way of practicing and teaching from spending significant time at an ashram learning from the lineage holder. I HIGHLY suggest that you at least check out her unique way. She also helps students learn to build their own similar home practice. Elaina is intelligent, creative, kind, a good communicator and a good leader. This combination I found helpful to my learning and experience as well. Check her out! I have heard that the other teachers at the center also are experienced and teach more traditional lineages as well, but have not tried them.

I’m in love with USADA! USADA is a gorgeous space with authentic, traditional Balinese cultural events, classes and fantastic Ashtanga yoga. I took a Balinese martial arts class (Pencak Silat) with Adji and was blown away by his expertise, helpful instruction and kindness. Definitely felt like a resident badass after learning some new moves and combos, and it was a great sweaty workout. Then I attended an intro course into the art of Cak (Kecak) which is basically Balinese chanting, but more layered and challenging. So much fun! And I started learning Ashtanga yoga with Ade - he’s an excellent, kind instructor that helps me reach my edge without actually going over it. I’m definitely going to try their Balinese dance classes and each week they have new and interesting cultural presentations. This is such a special place that’s just getting its feet off the ground. In the short amount of time I’ve spent there, I already made USADA friends that feel like family. Definitely worth checking out!

I went here two nights in a row! Delicious vegan food. I got the mung bean curry and the pumpkin dal and was blown away. I also tried their seasonal cleaning drink , Gaya blessings, and it was so delicious. The staff here is so friendly too. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Ubud 💕💕🙏

A truly beautiful Shala with dedication to the Balinese arts, yoga, meditation and community. A gorgeous space and a wonderful energy. Also: really incredible teachers offering Ashtanga, Hatha, kundalini, permaculture classes, martial arts, various art modalities and more! I love it.

Usada is a true gem of a place in Ubud. The mix of cultural events, delicious food in the cafe, lovely staff, and a beautiful shala earns them 5 stars and beyond. They have a very diverse mix of workshops and cultural classes that are a great way to experience some of the unique aspects of Bali. I attended their jamu workshop and highly recommend. The quality of what they’re up to at Usada is incredible. Keep it up!! I’ll be back for many more events and classes!

Attended a seminar on permaculture in the evening and really enjoyed the vibe of the space. It is calming and people are sociable. I would surely recommend stopping by for a yoga class or other types of workshop if you are in the area.

Wow. Just wow. It is definitely one of our very favorite places in Bali. The food is outstandingly good. It's just so very well balanced. Everything is actually according to Ayurveda. We geared some people complaining about that the masala dosa is not spicy enough, and yes. Of course it's not as spicy as you get it in tamil Nadu or somewhere else in India, but it is according to Ayurveda perfect. Every single meal just gives joy to your taste buds. The service is super super good, always aware, always super friendly. Really just highly highly recommended. We've been so many times already there and still the very favorite is jackfruit and moringa curry (16) and the green mung bean with thoran (13)

Calm and warm place. I went there on the night looking for ginger tea for my nausea. And there was a chanting session on 2nd floor and it bring magical ambience. The ginger tea is not on the menu but they made it for me, which is very nice :) the service also good.

Food: one of the best food in ubud; the jackfruit & moringa curry is my favorite (the rice cake was a little dry but the curry itself was so amazing) Side note: since they only serve local and fresh food; they sometimes don’t have certain menu items Available (but I think that underlines how fresh everything is) Price: it’s quite expensive but in my opinion worth it- if you are looking for fresh, local & healthy food Service: super friendly staff; free water refill Vibe: it’s a cafe that is perfect to spend all day in; you can work here on your laptop all day (very quiet and chilled atmosphere) Definitely try if you like Indian food with a healthy twist

From the moment we set foot in this restaurant till the time we left it, every bit was amazing. They had delicious food, amazing hospitality and soothing vibes. It rejuvenated me in every way. We had their vegetarian burger and jackfruit curry. They both were perfect. I would recommend anybody reading this review to definitely go there

A small restaurant that is beautifully decorated with an open kitchen space, customers can observe the food preparation process, it is quite interesting and creates a sense of peace of mind when eating. Vegetarian dishes are set up in Indian style, I am impressed with the burger, the taste is very special with butter instead of regular eggs, the curry looks very attractive and eye-catching. The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic with a smile on their face. only a small correction is that the location of the shop is not very accurate on google map, need to find and observe carefully, the name of the shop is not quite right compared to the advertisement on the internet. In short, a satisfying experience for enjoying vegetarian food in Ubud, it is worth recommending to friends, relatives and family if they have the opportunity to come to Ubud. If I have a chance to come back I will continue to dine here. Thanks

I miss this place dearly (and the employees). Some of the most healing food I've eaten, without the typical Ubud vegan pretentiousness. Most importantly, it's a center dedicated to upholding Balinese culture in a respectful way. And yes, the brownie will change your life! xoxo

Honestly one of the better meals we have had in Bali. The philosophy and quality ingredients are apparent in the great taste of the food. I had the Jackfruit Moringa curry which was creamy and slightly sweet. Very tasty. We tried several snacks as well and it was fun to try new foods and combos I have never seen. Great vegan options. Great smoothies. Great service. Happy to reccomend!

The café has an open kitchen where you can literally sit next to the kitchen enjoying your food. The menu evolves around Ayurvedic concept of food. Some of the food and drinks are made specifically to match your Dosha. Although the portion is small and food could be tastier for the price, the ambience is nice and staff are really friendly.

We had the opportunity to take part in a photo documentary about West Sumatra. It was educational, fascinating and best of all, there were even people from this region present. This made the following discussion even more authentic. Besides, Usada also has a restaurant with one of the tastiest and healthiest menus in Ubud. That's my opinion, but I suggest you just try it yourself. Can't wait to visit this unique place again.

I had a somewhat upset stomach before coming to Usada and was searching for soothing food. It’s such a lovely discovery! The soup tasted so good, like home cooked meal. Dosa was not as thin as dosas usually are but still had that fermented flavor. Overall my dinner was exactly what I was looking for.

Personally I found this place to a little overrated given it has such good google reviews! The vibe is lovely, staff very kind and the concept is great, but the food for us unfortunately was just slightly lacking in flavour. We ordered the satay skewers, jackfruit curry, Nasi Campur and spinach side (this was the best thing). A little more seasoning would go a long way but it’s a nice place otherwise and certainly healthy!

I’m a big fan of this place. The open kitchen looks very clean and airy. I’ve returned a few times while here and all the staff that I encountered were friendly & very accommodating. The food options are great & are great for clean eaters and those who believe in Ayurvedic healing system. I had the Nasi Campur & Kichari and both were really lovely. The Kichari came with fermented moringa sambar which I thought was unique and gave a great taste profile when added to the Kichari. A must try!

The food in Dapur Usada is fantastic. In a span of 5 days, I visited the restaurant 4 times! They have excellent vegan options. Their cinnamon drink (warm) is flavourful. I enjoyed their nasi campur and spinach. The portion sizes of the spinach changed every time we visited though - the portion size needs to be the consistent. I liked the masala dosa and dal khichdi (though it tasted different from the actual Indian version). Their ice creams are good as well. Friendly staff. The prices are pretty high for Balinese standards but it’s worth it if we consider the quality of the food. I would definitely revisit.

Best place in Ubud to relax and have an organic high-quality food experience at a reasonable price.  I love it when a restaurant has an iPhone charger available at request for the customers.   Free water with upcycled glass bottle glasses.  So well designed and all the food is sourced on Bali no nuts or quinoa flown in from another country.

So far we have eaten at this place several times and the food was fantastic! Jackfruit and moringa curry is outstanding and the chocolate brownie is to die/live for 😘👍👌 Great suggestion from one of the girls that work there, sorry forgot her name, but she was very bubbly. During the "temple etiquette" presentation, we learned not only about how to wear the clothes but also how to make the offerings and saw small slide show about various temples. The setting is in the heart of Ubud and the business itself focuses on real Balinese experiences, not the normal touristy stuff.

USADA is a beautiful, intimate studio with a wonderful atmosphere. I went to a candle lit yin yoga class and it was just perfect. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into creating a wonderful and relaxing environment in terms of the setting and the class itself too - the teacher made everyone feel comfortable instantly and was very attentive, catering to everyone's abilities. I highly recommend this yoga studio, it was a lovely experience and I wish I'd had time to go to more of their classes.

The food here is beyond incredible! It's my favourite restaurant here in Ubud and I think the best for vegan/vegetarian ♡ I could honestly eat here every day. Healthy, clean, ayuvedic food made with love. The Gobi Masala and the Moringa and Cauliflower soup are my favs. Even the blanched fresh spinash side i dont know how they make it taste so good. And don't forget to try the Vegan brownie, and their Jamu; ancient Indonesian medicine drinks. Thankyou Usada I love you ♡♡♡

Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was a little disappointing, we thought it would be more flavourful from all the amazing reviews. Compared to all the other restaurants we’ve visited so far in Bali the food here was the most bland. The food was beautifully presented though and it was cool seeing them make it with the open kitchen plan.

Very extensive mainly vegan menu. We had the Usada's Kitchari & Jackfruit curry dishes. Both were tasty and the portion sizes were good. We also ordered the Moringa and Cauliflower soup, but their moringa had gone bad, so the soup did not make it to the table. Good that they noticed this in the kitchen before serving the dish, but disappointing to wait for a dish only to hear 20 minutes later that it's not coming. Desserts were ok, but nothing special. We had the vegan chocolate cake and bounty ball. Staff was very friendly, the restaurant has a very western clean look, which also shows a bit on the prices.

I ordered Kitchari and it was really good. Even if porridge isn't your thing, I would recommend this. It has crunchiness from the veggies and seeds, so the texture is very different to porridge though classified under that catgeory. I will forever miss this dish whenever it's raining.

Lovely food, nice atmosphere. A good dosa, nice currys and dals and a phenomenal gf brownie.

I highly recommend Usada Bali for its tasty and healthy 'Indovedic' cuisine, great locally-sourced Balinese food cooked in accordance to Ayurvedic principles. Food is fresh and well spiced. I especially enjoy the Nasi Bali, Kichari, Bubur Jamur and Lasagna. I also enjoy Usada Bali cultural events, great opportunities to learn more about magical Bali, and to practice yoga and meditation. I highly recommend Usada Bali's water temple ceremony. This is an amazing spiritual and learning experience.

(Translated by Google) We accidentally saw a cafe and stopped by. The food is divine. The choice is huge. Nice atmosphere. Recommend 👍 (Original) Случайно увидели кафе и заехали. Еда божественна. Выбор огромный. Приятная атмосфера. Рекомендую 👍

Good looking food that's not good. Deep fried in some oil. Food was really bad for an organic themed cafe. How can a food cooked at a organic vegan etc etc hotel be so oily? Ordered shakshuka which strangely had no tomatoes and Rosti stack.

I've only eaten here a few times, but it just seems to get better every time I visit. The food is delicious and it's clear that the team is dedicated not only to great taste & presentation, but to the source and purpose of food itself. I love the "Indo-Vedic" concept with food options based upon your composition and nutritional needs, combined with clean, locally sourced options. Plus the lovely ambiance. If I lived closer I'd be here every day.

India in Bali❤ We tried 3 vegan dishes and they managed to have indian flavors in Bali. The bowls come with lots of nutritional ingredients and a good quantity. Prices are average to other restaurants in Ubud but the service is one of the bests. Always a smile first.

The food here is made with love and the service from all the staff - particularly Mita was really great. Beautifully made Ayurvedic food. Lots of options for garlic and onion free. My partner had the Nasi Campur which he loved. I had the kitchari which was delightful! I can’t wait to eat my way through the menu.

The coffee was amazing, the things we ate from the menu, the Rosti and the shakshuka were DELICIOUS and to top that off the impeccable service of Mita is exactly the reason, we will be recommending our friends to come here.

Dapur Usada is truly amazing! Best veggie noms I've had in Bali so far. We had tempeh satay lemongrass sticks, a banana flower stew. jackfruit curry, rice cakes, bounty balls (seriously, try them!), spiced coconut cake, masala chai, rosella water, and a veggie juice. So many tasty, interesting, colourful options... and all cruelty-free!

Incredible service, fabulous food!! Beautifully presented, delicious Indo-vedic food, following an Indonesian Ayurvedic philosophy. Textures and flavours were divine, super fresh and tasty. Our waitress Mita attentive and friendly, very helpful with a gorgeous smile. We will be back! ♥️✨🙏🏻

Ambiance was great. It has a chill vibe and place is clean. The place is great for Vegans as they offer IndoVedic Food. But not for meat lovers like me. Just went here to try the food. Their menu though is cool as it has interesting FYIs.

My favourite restaurant in Ubud. Just go. Food conforts your heart. Not only because is delicious, but because they cook and serve with love.

Outstanding... Highly recommended for food, ambience. Very unique recipes, highly nutricious and reasonably priced. Try jackfruit and moringa curry and Tamarind Rice. For snacks cassave fries and uttapam.

We went for dinner at this beautiful restaurant on 04/11/22. Their drinks were good. But rest of the food had very bland flavors and this is one of those times we left the food on the table. Probably the only reason why this restaurant has great reviews is because it caters to vegan crowd. One weird thing is that we ordered 5 dishes and 4 of them had the same tamarind sauce. Felt like the chef is crazy about tamarind. But it just did not go well with most of the items.

Had a perfect masala chai tea before taking the jamu workshop today, led by insightful Agus. Interesting workshop. Very good vibes there. Definitely will be back

Service is quite good, and it’s a cool environment with the open kitchen and everything is really clean! The dishes at Usada are all really healthy and using (from what I can gather) quality ingredients which shows on how flavoursome the dishes are. The pumpkin dhal is an absolute delight for example, the peanut crunch adds so much to it, I could eat it everyday. The shihajit dessert ball is one of if not the best I had in Bali, which is high praise but it is that good!
