I have such mixed reviews on this place but unfortunately I am disappointed and most of my feelings are negative . I’ve tried 7 different classes because I so badly wanted to like it because of the great schedule and variety of classes. Some teachers were great, Byron’s classes are fantastic and some teachers were so hard to understand or just didn’t offer a great class in my opinion. Classes are way over crowded with some people who refuse to make space for you or are busy video taping themselves during class . I feel like half the people are there for yoga and half to just post on Instagram to show that they are there. The staff up front are unwelcoming and not helpful at all. This feels more like just a business to make the maximum amount of profit instead of a loving, warm yoga studio feel. Way over priced for everything.

Be careful with the offers of discounts for multiple treatments. They are not clearly explained and they refused to honour them in our case as appointments were made on different days. We also felt that some yoga teachers rocking up 5 mins before a class starts was not very professional. One class we attended was also ridiculously overcrowded so they should seriously look at limiting numbers to make the experience more enjoyable. Overall it feels like a commercial money making playground rather than a yoga retreat.

Awesome place for all your yoga needs. 11 studios - it’s huge!! Make sure you get to class 20-30 mins early to get in as all classes first come first serve. Wonderful to see this business doing so well. Affordable classes, every teacher I practised with were clearly very accomplished and expert in their field. Best place for dedicated yogis and yoga teachers.

Yoga Barn is an amazing space with incredible dances. Some of the classes are great too. The staff are very friendly, as is pretty much ubiquitous among the Balinese. The managers, however, are not supportive of people doing yoga on the premises. I understand it's a business and maybe I'm just used to yoga studios that actually promote the ethos of yoga but the vibration is just not communal or loving from the higher-ups. To me, this is important so I now choose to do classes at other studios but the dances here are really nice. Thank you to the staff and the community-oriented teachers that show up here everyday 🙏🏼

Overall, the Yoga Barn provides an easy access for people, who want to get in touch with their curiosity or call for spirituality, traditional teachings and the discovery of the self. Be aware that it's pretty commercial but creats a gentle and informative introduction in a very wide range of offerings from the "yoga" world. If you already have been following a practice or lineage, you might not get what you are looking for. Every now and then, there are interesting workshops to keep an on! Definitely worth a visit, have some fun and explore! A nice starting point, for your personal journey🧡

Even though i liked the two classes i attended i felt stressed visiting the yoga barn. I came 50min earlier to have some bite in their cafe. However you can only pay for your class 30min earlier which meant that i had to leave my soup on the table for 10min in order to pay the class. I do not get this management decision, it is no common sense why i had to wait another 20min. Feeling a bit frustrated about this was topped by the next no common sense rule. I signed up for a yoga class and later sound healing. 15min between class end and class start. They told me that i need to make it on time for sound healing and there is no refund in case my yoga teacher is over time which is normally the case. Why is this my responsibility, not theirs? There is no clock in the room. Instead i had to look on my smartphone for time checking. Communication from staff here was as well very frustrating as i could not relax.

Michelle- I’m in awe of this woman’s ability to heal through the breath. She welcomes you with kindness and a space to be truly and safely yourself. At first I attended her class at the yoga barn out of pure curiosity of what the breath could do. To my surprise, the breath unlocked memories and sensations that I was not prepared for but welcomed in anyway. Michelle guides you into those spaces and to explore your inner mind and body to allow the body to tell you what it truly wants and needs. I am forever grateful for her work and her abundant loving kindness, I left feeling speechless. That for me doesn’t happen often🤍

we stayed here for the 5 day rejuvenation package and loved every minute. with the package comes unlimited classes, we tried various kinds of classes and loved making it a DIY yoga retreat. the food is good. the workshops and classes are all spectacular. the large pool is salt water and warm!!! it feels so good. the massages were great too. i wish we would have stayed here for 2 weeks or longer, i wouldn’t have gotten tired of it. the rooms are great, the bed is comfortable. they have curated a really special place.

We’re in Ubud Bali for retreat & to practice yoga to support our healing after the loss of our son. We are staying in a hotel right behind Yoga Barn so we could take the 7;00 am hatha class every morning. We have enjoyed the peace we found in Bali up until this past week because Yoga Barn is demolishing the above structure in my picture I took from my balcony. It’s 6:00 pm on a Sunday and workers are still out there hammering, sawing and jackhammering away.. yesterday they ended at 7:00 pm with the jackhammer. I have a migraine from it, so yesterday and today we’ve been looking for a new place to stay but we are having little luck because places are booked up. We asked our hotel management about how long will this go on? They said it’s Yoga Barn doing it to prepare for Bali Spirit and they’ll be working for a couple more weeks up to a month. Until the structure above is fully broken down. We understand work needs to be done but working through the weekend on Saturday & Sunday until 7:00 pm is not respectful to others Yoga Barn. Treating each other with respect and love is a foundational yoga practice. Not only are you being disrespectful to your neighbors for your selfish motives you are also losing customers who will not return. Please have respect for your neighbors and customers and have better boundaries about your work hours. Not on weekends or evenings please! We would like to enjoy our last few weeks here with some peace and quiet. 🙏🙏🙏❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Firstly, the cafe and the juice bar in the yoga barn are both great. Though unfortunately, I can't say the same for yoga classes. Overcrowded, instructors are somehow really irresponsible, as they never really instruct you or correct your poses. They wouldn't even attempt to demonstrate the pose for the new beginners. As someone who does yoga on a regular basis, I needed to talk and help out my neighbours with some poses as they were beginners. Very embarrassing for such a place. :/

I am writing about my fly high yoga class experience, I took two classes at yoga barn. I ask the teaching assistant help me to release the strap, and she is very inpatient. Also, during my first class, the teacher ask my nationality, after that, I never get any adjustment from the teacher and also during the second class.

I attended 2 sound healing sessions, 1 spa treatment and one wellness treatment and for all of those, the quality and the overall experience was really good. The place is beautiful and the treatment guides were top level. Well organized. Yes, there's a lot of people (chilled vibe though), the service in the reception and cafe is below Balinese standards, food in the cafe/juice bar is overpriced, but it's still all worth it.

recently visited Yoga Barn in Ubud and had a wonderful experience! The class was only 150k IDR, which is very reasonable for such a high-quality yoga studio. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-equipped the studio was, with a variety of yoga props and ample room for movement and relaxation. What impressed me the most was the depth of the yoga practice at Yoga Barn. The teachers were knowledgeable and attentive, guiding us through a challenging yet rewarding practice that left me feeling rejuvenated and centered. I also appreciated the studio's focus on mindfulness and holistic well-being, which added a deeper dimension to the practice. Another great feature of Yoga Barn is its lush garden area, which provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere for practice and meditation. I was also happy to learn that dogs are allowed, making it a great option for pet owners looking to practice yoga with their furry friends. Overall, I highly recommend Yoga Barn to anyone looking for a top-notch yoga experience in Ubud. The studio's focus on mindfulness and holistic well-being, combined with its affordable prices and beautiful garden area, make it a truly special place. I can't wait to return for my next yoga class!

My brand-new linen pants were unfortunately stolen from a changing room this week. When I brought this to the manager's attention, I was informed that there is a notice at the entrance stating that 'YB is not responsible for your belongings.' However, I would like to kindly suggest that this disclaimer should be prominently displayed everywhere to avoid any misunderstandings. I personally missed the notice at the shoe shelves because I did not use them, but I did utilize your changing room. If you cannot take responsibility for personal belongings left in the changing room, it would be greatly appreciated if you could make this policy equally clear in that area as well. For example, by adding a notice near the clothing storage boxes. Furthermore, I find myself wondering about the individual who took the pants. The Yoga Center embodies principles of yoga, which extend far beyond physical exercise. Yoga is traditionally pursued to attain a state of pure mind, and a fundamental aspect of this journey is adhering to ethical principles, particularly non-stealing. I would like to propose that perhaps the Yoga Barn could consider offering a class that delves into the philosophy of yoga, in addition to the various yoga styles already available. This could contribute significantly to raising awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of the principles behind yoga. After all, isn't yoga more than just a business for the Yoga Barn?

The Yoga Barn is a great place to enjoy Yoga and other healing arts. I attended the 150hr Meditation Teacher Training in August of 2022 led by Leah Santa Cruz and Paul Teodo. Leah and Paul's training exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend attending their meditation training. They are not only a caring and supportive couple but their real world experience and expertise will help build a solid foundation for anyone to feel comfortable in learning and teaching meditation. Whether for your own personal enrichment or to become a teacher of meditation as a living; this training is priceless. A++++

We went only for yoga course. The atmosphere at the morning yoga was very nice ! The yoga at 7:30am was more focused on breathing. The yoga exercises were not so complicated. It is more for tourists but I have really enjoyed. My boyfriend went for the first time at a yoga course and enjoyed as well 😍

The place is great and well designed, but I feel like being in an artistic resort more than a place to learn deeper yoga. Some teachers are amazing, and some others totally not in the class and repeat mechanically their lesson. One was keeping walking on student’s mats, this is not hygienic.

I chose to do my YTT at the Yoga Barn with instructors Paul, Byron, Alyssa and Michael. Each teacher had their own unique style and talents that blended well into a months long training. All were very well versed in their crafts and held a safe and fun place to learn. I would do it all over again and am potentially thinking of coming back and Bali for more teacher trainings. All teachers were inspirational in their own way. The studio space was also just as special, the staff were very friendly and got to learn the students names and made the me feel at home. 10/10 highly recommend.

Great ambiance even for casual enjoyers of yoga. Casual classes run daily, our instructor was fantastic and a worthwhile visit. The cafe has some good food options, looked like a nice place to stay for a retreat. Would come back if in the area.

I have attended Candice’ workshop for Solar Plexus and it was mind blowing!😻First of all, she is soo nice and funny and professional at the same time! Giving good explanation and leading the group. And her energy is absolutely awesome! I was able to release a lot of stuck emotions and move my energy so high! The whole atmosphere of the workshop was very friendly, supportive and caring ( special thanks to the assistants🙏). So I totally enjoyed my experience with Candice❤️🔥

This is heaven for any yoga lover. All the atmosphere is carefully crafted to provide a sense of peace and relaxation. There’s lessons every hour and registrations only open 30 min in advance, ideal for a spontaneous walk-in. I tried the split flexibility lessons and the teacher, Kellen, was the sweetest. She explained every pose very conscientiously and offered more advanced variations. The price was 150,000 for the one-off. The restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly and offers plenty of healthy snacks.

the setting and surroundings are incredible. i took one yoga class and it did not align with my idea of yoga. maybe it was that one class but i expect yoga to be more chill, compassionate and mindful. if you love a “fitness and push yourself to the limit” kind of yoga, you may like it. restaurant and shops are cute as well.

I’ve only been once for a yoga class during my Bali trip, as I wanted to experience the famous yoga retreat that a lot of people are talking about. The whole location is beautiful, and nestled in the nature, however just like other reviews are mentioning, the class was packed, super full. So the teacher can’t really focus properly on the students. I would suggest you arrive early if you want to secure a spot. Also the staff seems to be on autopilot, most probably because the place is so busy all the time. It was nice for my Bali experience, but i wouldn’t choose this place to go for my regular yoga classes, it lacks personalization.

I loved the location and the atmosphere there. I took 5 classes with all different teachers. So the quality of the class is highly dependent on the teachers. I loved the most of the class. But I found one of male teachers is quite touchy of students for no reason. He taught me how to grab my foot when I’m doing my butterfly posture to lean forward more and after that he grabbed my left arm once. But why? That’s just so unnecessary. I think yoga barn should let teachers know they should be more careful when they have to touch their students.

I have been coming to Yoga Barn since early 2020 whenever I visited Ubud while I lived in Jakarta. Yoga Barn holds a special place in my heart especially during the pandemic times when it was a quiet sanctuary for yoga and spiritual growth. Every time I come I leave feeling more grounded and connected with myself. I went to my first ecstatic dance at YB and it’s become a favorite event to experience. I have had the pleasure of taking classes with many different teachers over the last few years. My favorites most recently include Lawrence Jay, Hayden Rain, and Bex Tyler. Although Yoga Barn is back to packed classes, especially with the most popular instructors, I found with these instructors especially, that they continue to make the effort to connect with everyone in the class and create a special place to practice. There is something for everyone to be found here.

The classes, special events and teachers are amazing. Such a connected experience and appreciate all that the staff and people attending yoga barn do to make it a physically and emotionally safe and inclusive environment. This is not the place to go to if you're looking to rush through a yoga class on a tight schedule, give time before and after to arrive and depart.

I’m not really a yogi but wanted to give it a go whilst in Bali. Tried a gentle yoga class and the instructor was fab - really fun, chilled and made everyone feel welcome/open to do their own thing. Be prepared for no air con (eurgh), western prices both for the class and for the juice bar downstairs. But overall, a fun experience that I’m glad I took part in :) made a new friend too!

They offer lots of great classes at all times of the week. I took the Pilates and yoga with weights class and enjoyed both of them. The instructors were knowledgeable and friendly. I do wish they had some sort of speaker because it’s hard to hear them give out instructions.

I absolutely love The Yoga Barn. This is my favorite place in Ubud ☺️ I could recommend many classes but I wish that everyone could join Himalayan Kriya Yoga with Candice 🙏 This class I like the most just because it is amazing tool to release anything that no longer serves us - from mind, body and heart. It helped me to take my yoga practice to another level, let go of stack programs running my life which didn’t help me to grow anymore. I am super grateful for Candice to share her work- she hold space that I could really feel seen and safe. She offers her guidance and help not only during the class but also after. Please give it a try if you feel like you need to let go of anything that no longer supports your life, feel empowered like never before 🙏

I am sorry but please improve the cleaness of your place. I went there many times, toilet always wet and dirty. Toilet tissues are everywhere on the floor. Some chairs and couches are dirty, dusty and sticky when you touch it. Some black stuff maybe from old remaining chocolate were scattered inside your drinking showcase. A kit of mosquitos like extreme. The concept is amazing, maybe try to hire a permanent professional cleaner, I have never seen any cleaner standby there. I come morning in the evening always the same, tissues on the floor still there. I come only for the class of meditation and I can't have this thought in my mind of how not clean is my surroundings. I don't have pictures cause I felt disgusted even to put it here.

I visited Yoga Barn for the Mana Movement class. I’ve enjoyed this unique practice combining mobility class, dance and meditation! Sadly, it’s on Thursday evenings only…it would be great to have more classes like that. Even though the class finished at 8.30 pm, the cafe onsite was still open, and I’ve enjoying the delicious cacao with a healthy dessert. Advised!

They offer such a great yoga classes, workshops and events with amazing teachers and staffs. i experienced profound healing experience there. Their classrooms, gardens, and restaurant are beautiful. One of their staffs Vira helped me from the day 1 there, I was nervous at first but her smile and kindness brighten up my whole experience there. (So surprised how she's so good at Korean as well! ) Being able to make good friends there is one of the gifts you can have. Thank you too all amazing people in Yoga Barn🙏

I came to the Yoga Barn this morning for the Gentle Yoga class. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ahmit was my teacher and he set such a wonderful, positive and welcoming tone. He was also pretty funny. He corrected posture and position when needed and encouraged us to listen to our bodies. I loved the open air studio and the grounds of the Yoga Barn were equally as beautiful. I was enjoying myself so much I decided to stay and have lunch at KAFE. The vegan burger was amazing! I’m so glad I came today! It was a truly wonderful experience!

Awww I love it here. It’s so beautiful. Gorgeous landscaping, beautifully designed structures and great classes. I’m so glad I’m only a short walk away. Food prices are expensive though! I guess people are willing to pay but it would be nice if they could make the prices more accessible, especially since most of the customers are people who are already paying for their other services.

The place is just beyond beautiful! Calming, clean, relaxed. Can’t beat that. Yoga classes are often not good though! I went to the 4pm Vinyasa most of the time - which is supposed to be advanced level - and it was often a very „unflowy“ and basic class. There are some teachers I liked, most are not my cup of tea, though. Food at the restaurant is good, but quite expensive (for Bali).

If you are coming to bali to practice yoga or join a teacher training you don’t want to miss the opportunity to train with some of the most experienced yoga teachers in the region. The cafe is also a great place to meet new people and they have delicious food and rest coffee and juices.

This is a great place for someone beginning their spiritual journey in Ubud. A lot of beginner friendly courses and classes as well as many western creature comforts and foods. It does feel a bit sheltered from other places experiences but the place did have a feeling of relaxation as soon as you walked in. It’s also a great place to meet friends after classes! The classes can be hit or miss with way more hits than misses, it all depends on what you want and there are classes suited for all types!

I come from the hip health-centric city of Austin, Texas, and nothing there really compares to what Yoga Barn has on offering. Or it would take a village of scattered business there to come close. Yoga Barn is this first and foremost, a village: for healing and spiritual practice. The delicious buffet after it’s famous ecstatic-esque Dance is the perfect Ubud Sunday. (Especially followed by the secret waterfall nearby). The grounds are pure magic and incorporate Bali design for a fascinating eastern vibe that could appeal to any Western expectations. It’s elevated with levity. Perhaps the Yoda statue baring fresh flowers sets the tone to perfection. Their leadership apparently are an international mix with a son of Monkey Forest’s glorious renovation. It shows! Tried the aerial yoga for the first time with my love and… we loved it. Dive in or walk around, meditate or levitate, sing loud or dance it all away. Just don’t miss the Yoga Barn for you may never find anything like it again, no matter where your from.

Even though the place is well known I am disappointed with the Vinyāsa class I tried. I wouldn’t recommend it to beginners as postures are not basic or well explained. It was even hard to follow for advance practitioners. The music coming from the ecstatic dance was very disruptive for Shavasana.

I absolutely love the Yoga Barn , what a fantastic place 🍀 The yoga and meditation they offer are for me the best in the world 🙏🏻 I am blown away by some teachers … Paul Teodo , what an amazing yoga teacher , so motivating and professional , so into getting the best out of his classes. I am impressed. The best ever meditation classes I had were with Leah Santa Cruz, I was blown away … Honestly. That’s why I also chose do do a Meditation Training with them. With Paul and Leah. Amazing place to find every type of yoga class imaginable! Whether you like yin, power vinyasa, aerial, sound baths, or meditation, yoga barn has it all. It’s like a small yoga village with 3 different cafes and juice bars to order nourishing food from. The smoothies and juices are all great. I haven’t been disappointed by anything

I’m so charmed by this place. The vibe is so nice from the cafe to the yoga studio. I just took the most fantastic class with Laurence. He covered so much from the fascia and the nervous system to IFS and craniosacral. Then he led a beautiful somatic breathwork journey into our bodies. I’ve come across all of these modalities before to great personal benefit. To experience them connected so clearly and intuitively feels so nourishing.

Ugh I miss the Yoga Barn! It’s unfortunate that this places seems to have gained a reputation as being too “touristy” because the variety of classes offered at the yoga barn along with all the passionate teachers makes this place so special. I spent just under 3 months in Bali and held off on visiting the yoga barn until the last 2 weeks of my trip. And I truly wish I had been immersed in the Yoga Barn scene for the majority of my trip. I got to take dance classes, martial arts and yoga. This is a big deal for me because at home I don’t find as many opportunities to do these sort of activities. Also the community feel at the Yoga Barn for me was refreshing. I could go on about specific things that I really liked about this place but this post could end up getting LONG. So I definitely recommend and can’t wait until I can return to Bali and drop in at the Yoga Barn again. Also my experience with the staff is that they were nice and helpful.

Such a beautiful location in the world to practice yoga! Its very accessible don't be afraid of the yoga here being too advanced for you. A range of daily classes to suit all levels, experience and yoga intensities. Set amongst beautiful lush gardens dotted with stone sculptures. The more classes you purchase upfront the better the value. Mats are supplied if you don't have your own with you in Ubud. A high quality juice bar, restaurant and other wellness services also on site.

I love this place, the nature surrounding each of the studio and cafe is so beautiful. I did a morning flow with a Balinese teacher at 7am and it wasn’t that busy at this time. I recommend to arrive early as when I left the studio people were queuing for the next class. I really enjoyed a scramble tofu breakfast at the garden cafe afterwards.

it is not worth the money at the moment, better go to another place. Other places offer discounts and are welcoming to folks still remaining on the island...not the yoga barn they decided to make more while providing less :( I really used to like this place and I understand an increase after the pandemic but now?! *during covid they prices have increased from 100k in July to now 130k, guys this is asia not europe! *classes are now 60mins and fully charged *unlimited pass for 50% of the old schedule is still sold at the same rate as before (160$ is even expensive for the states) *soundhealing is now sold at 200k, before covid it was 120 and included in all class passes *props are wrapped in plastic, very economically friendly!

Went there for a 1h30 yoga class, my 3rd, and learned a lot! It was 130K Rp and totally worth it! You can have access to all different kind of level of yoga classes, meditation and health oriented activities. The environment is outstanding! Something you would not expect in the heart of Ubud, a wonderful wooden architecture blending perfectly with a luxurious nature, in a quite big complex.

The place is great, don’t get me wrong but not all teachers are paying attention in the full classes. One yin class the teacher pushed and pushed to let more people in, he did not really see us all and the explanation was not clear. He was joking about how much money he would make. I understand instagram is taking over, but advertising your business that much in class, or asking for followers is not very authentic to me. Many of us looked around a bit confused during the “poses”. Of course you can’t have a click with all teachers, but it is a busy place and when you are a beginner you have to stand up for yourself! Ask for attention. One class, was excellent. Teacher was calm, paying attention, asking and guiding. The guided meditation was trough a microphone and the sounds where really annoying for my friend. I personally did not go to the meditation, but this was her comment. The juices are amazing in the bar!!!! I like the location a lot, be aware you have to park around the back!! Don’t drive into the entrance at the main road.. From the main road, Jalan Raya, turn down Jalan Sukma Kesuma, there are signs along the road to the Yoga Barn. Or just type in: parking yoga barn in google maps!

  • 4/5 R M. 4 years ago on Google
The place is massive, we followed google maps for GPS and when we got there we were told that parking is on the other side so we needed to drive to the street opposite of the main entrance. It’s a bit of a maze for your first time going. I did meditation, the class was excellent. It’s worth it, just give yourself a bit more time to find the studio and park.

It’s a great place. Many different types of yoga classes and meditation. If you are staying a while you can buy a 20 day pass or unlimited monthly which makes to very reasonable. Food at the restaurant is really good.

Looks amazing, but the classes are disappointing. Too many people, is hard to concentrate with approximately 45 people around u. Even if the most of the classes last for 90minutes, u don’t do a lot of stuff, I felt it was a loss of time. They accept people to walk in for 15-20 minutes after the class has started so u can imagine how much u will do in the 1st half an hour😒

The place is beautiful and doing yoga in the forest is such a nice experience but the yin class was very disappointing. Maybe I was impressed by the facilities and had high expectations, I wish I liked this class as much as this place. Also the staff at the reception is very hesitant and not really helpfull. I hope my comment will help to improve the quality of the service.

The area and studios look great, big selection of classes and options. But it’s way too commercial. Sooooo many people. I attended a sound healing session. This is when you listen to gongs and meditate. People snored, coughed and there was no way to concentrate at all. There were 60+ people there

Aestetics: this is the most beautiful yoga 'studio' I've ever been to. It's like a village and has everything you could ask for: studios, a cafe, a restaurant, toilet, relax, chillout,.. you name it, they've got it! Very excited to follow my Yin class, which is scheduled for an hour and a half. The room is very spacious and has a beautiful panoramic view of palmgreens and leaves, just gorgeous. The class was ok and not great and had to do with a couple of things. The teacher was difficult to understand. Although her English was very good, she spoke with an accent, which made her a bit more difficult to understand. Also the space has an echo, so some words and sentences I could barely understand. Outside it was raining really hard for most of the day, which also numbed the sound of the teacher's voice. And lastly, the music was sometimes a bit loud. A friendly employee moved my scooter to the parking space behind the yoga 'studio', but it was difficult for me to find because of the hard rain and it being my first time at the studio. Another employee just pointed into the direction of the parking space; guidance or a walkalong would've been nice, in terms of customer service. Other than that, great place to do yoga (just not when it's raining ;) )

The facility is super nice, big windows, open studios, great variety of classes, cafe with a ton of options for any dietary needs, convenient student card system, but maaaaan it’s crowded! So. Many. Students. I understand it’s the most popular yoga school in Ubud, but honestly, it takes away from the quality of practice. The teacher can not possibly give you any attention, so you’re on your own here. But it’s okay if you know what you’re doing, still, I prefer smaller classes and better quality of instruction.

Our stay at the Yoga Barn was incredible. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and informative, special mention to Putu, the man who introduced us at the Yoga Barn and showed us around the complex. You were very helpful. Big place with a lot if things going on. First thought walking in, finding my way around, was that I was at a festival. Which might not be so far off as the also seem to arrange festivals. Did Vinyasana Flow yoga which was in a big open hall. Professional teachers and easy going vibe; unpretentious. Also tried their restaurant, had a Pad Thai based on tofu. Very nice.

I loved the 8;00 am Kundalina Yoga class with Amit. He has done all his training in India and wow - what a beautiful experience it was today. His gentle guidance into awareness of body, mind and soul left me feeling heightened and so aligned. Try his class. He is very powerful.

I did 200hours YTT with Paul, Byron and Michael at Yoga Barn last April. It was such a magical experience. Paul and Byron are strong yoga practitioner with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Combined with Michael's knowledge as physiotherapist, we got so much from this training. I appreciate so much the fact that they invited other guest speakers. Vijeth is like a sun that shines light and warmth to this world. He teaches phulosophy of yoga in the most beautiful way. We also had Leah and Punnu to teach meditation. This training didn't just teach us how to become a yoga teacher and better practitioner, but also process our emotion. We became sisters and brothers after this training, we shared so much and supported each other through and through. Thank you for holding the space and creating this experience for us. Much love!

Wonderful place! The atmosphere is amazing and the place is beautiful. The staff are helpful and nice! 150 IDR per person and it’s definitely worth it. We did Yin Yoga and it was a bit slow so if you are looking for more stretching and movements then try other classes! Will definitely come back for more. P.s the woman that sang during our yoga had the most beautiful voice ever 😍😎

This amazing venue offers some of the best and most forward thinking developments in yoga, meditation and other wellbeing practices, with teachers from all over the world that are innovative and ahead of the game. Not all approaches will be your taste, the offer is wide and one has to go with one's intuition to find the right thing, or go through some trial and error. Many seem to not understand this, and are quick to dismiss Yogabarn. Fame and commercialism can attract an unconscious crowd, which may lead to its downfall. Local staff could be better trained, but this is an issue throughout Bali, especially right now when commerce is developing so fast there is a scarcity of good workers. A lot of Balinese working in services have a below basic level of English, and mannerisms can be very different from the West, which, despite good intent, may lead to more confusion. As for the teachers, again, they tend to be top level. All and all, Yogabarn is definitely a mix of tourist trap and innovative platform, depends in which corners of the experience you end up. I really hope it stays focused on leading the way instead of getting comfortable and just rolling on the big bucks.

I booked this conscious cooking class while I was still at home. It’s like I had a feeling when I saw the ads that it’s going to be fun. I didn’t expected it would be more than just fun. Nina is person full of warm and sunny energy. What she gave me and 3 other wonderful women on that workshop is not only recipes of especially delicious dishes, but also guidance on how to cook and enjoy the process. How to eat and enjoy the process. How to cook and enjoy the process. We ended the workshop with a beautiful lunch . Some women were crying while eating , because we managed to build a strong connection between us . And of course because the food was blissfully yummy! Join the class. You will enjoy it!

I've taken hands down the best Vinyasa class I've ever done here! My first aerial yoga class was also a lot of fun and was able to do most poses! The coffee is also exceptional with pandan pancakes, ceremonial cocoa drink with ashwaganda, cocoa bowl, and lunch/dinner buffet on select days! Cannot recommend the food enough here, it's healthy and tasty! Just look at the pictures!

I come to Yoga Barn to join Spiritual Awakening Class by Punnu Wasu. It is a 2 days powerful class to help you in your spiritual journey. There is lot of healing process involved. 100% would recommend. I also joined their daily class such as sound healing and meditation. As this place is famous for travellers, expect to see more people in the class. This does not disturb my experience as I choose front seating. Every Friday evening and Monday morning, you can join ecstatic dance. Classes cost 150k and 100k for Indonesian. The surrounding and classes are beautiful. Classes that I went do not have AC but they are chill and they are greens around. You can also enjoy foods at the cafe and juice bar. You will meet cute dogs as well!

Fly high yoga was way too crowded. I was on the side of the wall and I couldn’t even straighten out my leg and I am only 160cm… The instructor couldn’t ensure that everyone was doing the moves safely, nor could she check everyone’s harness heights (some poor tall guys hanging upside down with their heads too close to the ground but couldn’t do anything about it!). I went there wanting to enjoy the place, but it felt more like a money-making machine with a packed schedule with packed classes than true yoga. Nice location and the service was ok but not great; not the magical experience I was hoping for. — In response to the response from YB — I don’t know what is your maximum capacity (a conservative estimate is about 40 -45 harnesses?) but even at 50% capacity that day (it was higher than that… believe me, there was no space to “spread out”…)in my opinion, it is still too full for fly high where students need to hang upside down. The teacher does not have the capacity to give everyone the required attention. I hope you learn from this feedback as oppose to acting defensively. I will reduce my rating to 1 star instead of 2.

Did yin yoga walk in session. Class focused on muscle fascio release. The yoga studio was beautiful. However, there were a lot of students in one class, less personalised. Also, the props aren't the cleanest, so do bring a yoga towel if you're intending to go! The place looked very crowded (if you're intending to stay).

I initially booked a yoga retreat at a different studio but found myself at The Yoga Barn almost every day. They offered incredibly diverse and highly professional classes. I learned so much new content and had many positive experiences. From Power Yoga to dancing, drumming, free movement, various breathing exercises, and meditations – they had it all. I just love it!

Love this yoga studio: beautiful nature, clean rooms, clean mats, good equipment. Although it feels a bit like a « yoga factory », as other reviewers put it, the instructors are excellent and the classes are very enjoyable. Nothing wrong with wanting to open the classes to a larger number of people, I suppose. Bonus points for the adorable dog Joy.

Great yoga teachers, with plenty of classes and styles from early in the morning till late evening. The shalas are amazing, a heaven for any yogi. Good food and restaurant. Disappointed with the registration that sometimes starts only 20 min earlier with big lines; the other cons the website, without responsive design and not useful at all. Complicate to find anything. No idea about rooms because I have never spent a night there.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my yoga classes at this place and food at the cafe, I didn’t like the service at the spa/treatment centre. I was charged so much for my cleanse juice package which included a massage and an infra-red sauna session - for this money I expected the place to be better maintained and refurbished. The massage session was performed in a room that looked like an office, the infra-red sauna session was offered in a shabby looking room that smelled like mould, plaster peeling off walls, shower floor had a dirty puddle and no shampoo in the bottle - definitely not the relaxing experience you expect for this highly priced service ☹️ I highly recommend the management to look at the places like Karsa Spa and try to mimic it.

Undoubtedly the best yoga retreat in Bali. The moment I arrived, I thought, 'Is this the paradise yogis go to after they die?' They offer classes for a wide range of levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. With diverse and creative classes, including not only asana practice but also meditation and sound healing, I had the opportunity to experience various types of sessions.
