Nice place for training, majority of staff are ok except one or two very rude staff members, as usual, who destroy the whole experience. It doesn’t mean that it’s a cheap gym that the staff shout at customers and be rude to them which happened to me. I just go to basic fit because of the abundance across Brussels and since I am relatively new to the country it seemed the logical place to go. I hope, as I get more familiar with the country, to find a better gym other than basic fit soon

Gym is fine. Staffer named Henry is the absolute worst. Hassles people all the time. Everyone else is amazing! Update: saw him working out today without a towel,sweating on everything, and using free weights at a machine (this taking a machine he wasn’t using). He also didn’t wipe down the machine or out the weights back.

After over one year front desk clerk decided now that I cannot enter using my girlfriend's card (we live together), even though I presented documents in day one and he just sent back home. Congratulations, you just lost two clients.

I've been going to basic fit for over 3 years, now suddenly they tell me that the card I'm using is not valid as it has my mother's name ( i started going when i was a minor) I'm the only person using it and never had a problem with it. They made me change the name and all the card info. Not only was this completely unnecessary but also rude how this guy working there handled it.

Staff ok, place is actually Clean, but i have two major grievances. First, the locker room is disproportionally small compared to the size of the gym, so its almost always crowded. Second and most important for me, there's no dedicated space for your own aerobic sessions! The available spaces are a small area before the beginning of the hall and then the virtual exercise room. But you have to make sure you are not blocked by selfish personal trainers who want to use all the space to themselves and people doing virtual classes who wont be bothered by your presence, respectively. Too bad, cause 90% of my exercises involve my own body weight. I only go there for the cycling.

The basic fits in this whole area, but this gym in particular, are always overcrowded. It could easily be mediated a bit with some more benches, but the gym is just too small to serve the demand of this area. It's hard to justify a basic-fit subscription if you live in southern Brussels.

Theft. During a training session, money from a wallet was stolen from a locked cupboard in the men's locker room. A padlock with a key replaced the keypad, but there is no guarantee for the safety of the belongings. The club does not have safes in the reception area that can be monitored by security cameras

Michelle is a rude receptionist acting like a god at the reception handing dirty towels because it’s mandatory to have a towel which he could mention in a friendly manner in the first place

If you are into absolutely overcrowded gyms full of honky guys staring at you while there is advertisement blaring in the background; don't miss out!
