Recently, I had dinner with my family. The dinner had everything I ever wanted from a good romantic dinner. The place we sat was adjacent to Lake Shore. Candle light was the only light. We sat comfortably lying down on an Indian styled small bed with cylindrical pillows. Full moon was in the sky with cold breeze. Enjoyed deliciously cooked food in such a setting. If you are not careful, the phone could slip out of your hands and fall into the lake pichola.

On our way to Ambrai Ghat, We went in here for some evening snacks. The place was almost empty (maybe because it was weekday,i guess) so we easily got the seating option right next to the lake. The view and ambience is worth a visit. Then come our snacks, Veg. Spring rolls, Manchurian and Masala Chai, everything was delicious. Service was good. Chill place to relax. Edit : after my first experience, went here twice to try the main course, but I was disappointed, the food was average, overpriced and the beverages were terribly disappointing. Service was very slow even when the place was not crowded. Won't recommend it for food, just the view is what they hype on.

We reached here around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and this proved to be the worst dining experience on this trip. The staff is disinterested in even showing you the available tables. We were on the ground floor, and we asked about their first floor tables, and the staff asked us to go check if there are tables available on the first floor. We got one of the last available lakeside 'tables' - the seating is gaddi/mattress with a tray table in the centre. There were 3-4 available servers, and it was a task to seek their attention to place the order. There were two servers attending to a white foreigner couple, 'helping' them. I say helping in quotes, because they were literally standing around them, when they needed no assistance while we clearly needed to order. Little did we know, that was just the beginning. Not only did we have to wait to order, but also to receive the food. After a long wait, they served us the starters and the main course together. We ordered the kadi pakoda, chicken pakoras (which were clearly not chicken pakoras) and chicken princess (the chicken was not even boneless and the sauteed vegetables had gotten cold). While the wait and substandard food had already disappointed us, the cherry on top was the blatant racism we witnessed as well as experienced. We saw how Indian patrons were made to wait while the white foreigners were seated immediately (and no, they did not have reservations). While we were still eating, the servers kept checking in to see if we were done, because they wanted us to leave. During the billing, they insisted on a tip, which we refused and was given a pretty rude stare (mind you, as a couple we always generously tip, but it's for the good food and dining experience, not out of entitlement). The last straw was when a couple rushed to our side and hovered over us while we were wearing our shoes, almost willing to physically shove us to get the seat for themselves. The food and the view wasn't worth the cost, or even the terrible experience. The dining experience is clearly miles apart based on the colour of your skin. Don't expect good service if you're not white.

Superb place on the banks of Pichola lake. Food and drinks menu both are good. Food is tasty. The staff is very courteous as well. Recommended to book a table overlooking the lake in advance as there only a few limited tables with the lake view. They also provide some setups in case anyone wants to have a romantic dinner overlooking the lake for some charge.Had an excellent time here. The lake/city palace views at night are breathtaking.

One of the most beautiful restaurant that you have in udaipur. I visited the place at night time and was in complete awe of the place. They have two type of seats. One where you sit just at side of the lake and other seats are normal table and chairs which are decorated beautifully. For lake side seats at night, you might have to wait for some time as everyone wants to get them. Food also has great taste and is reasonably priced. In total it's worth the price they charge you. Staff is also really gentle.

The food quantity for the price is upto the par. Also the restaurant has a typical rajasthani feels in the interior. The restaurant has few sitting's available just above the lake which is a plus point for the ambience. Taste is authentic and you will get full by the food. Staff is amazing, they know how to treat the customers well. Overall it was good experience.

We have planned to go Upre restaurant but it was opening in evening hence we came to this restaurant. The staff told to order the items but it will be served after 1:15PM as staff was not yet arrived. The food is decent nothing extraordinary. The chaas is must try in this place. The ambience and the view are good. Qe went there in the afternoon but I am sure the evening view would be lovely too. The service was on time and the price was reasonable too. Overall, a decent place if you want okayish food with good view.

WHAT A PLACE ! 😍🥰 Absolutely loved the ambiance,the food and last but not the least, the lovely Service of Mangi Lal Ji. Hands down he is the best person to assist you with what to order. On his recommendation, we ordered the grilled fish in butter lemon sauce and the speciality murg banjara kebab. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed. Food was good. Ambience was also good. Only hospitality was missing. Food was delivered but not served. You expect such kind of decency from a good restaurant. Even billing was not accurate. Very beautiful place to eat. You have to book seats before hand as it is crowded during holidays or festive season otherwise it will be okay. Booking can be done by calling at the restaurant. We went back home on Saturday as seats were full and the lake view seats were high on demand. We came back on Sunday after reserving seats for two. We tried traditional dal baati which was exceptionally delightful. Prices are also affordable. We had a great time overall.

Awesome ambience with lake Pichhola on the side. The place is dimly lit may be so that the guests may actually see water in lake. Food is great. Service is pretty slow especially during peak hours and to add to it the waiters and staff become quite rude when they have a lot of customers to serve. Overall, I think it's a great place.

i was planning to go there for so long on my udaipur trip, and finally when time came, i called there for booking a table but someone just picked the phone , i said "Restaurant harigarh se bol rhe he"? and he just cut the call, 3-4 time same thing happned, whole evening plan was spoiled, expected better from them.

Beautiful ambience . I'd recommend reserving a lakeside table by calling the restaurant instead of using zomato. We had the restaurant specials which were all delicious though on the spicier side. Prices are a little steep but worth it.

Wonderful place in udaipur to hangout at lake side. Ambience +1, food +1, service +1, seating +1 and they allow you to sit for long time if places are vacant. Food was super awesome, rich in taste and quantity was quite enough as per price. Very good place to chill with family and friends in udaipur.

Ambience by the lakeside is probably the only thing that this place has to offer. Food is very expensive and not worth it. Staff is also not courteous. They straight away ask to order all food at once as they follow "slot system". Read between the lines, they want you to get out asap to churn more customer turnover. There are many other alternative restaurants adjacent to this one with same ambience but better food an service.

Ambience is very beautiful but some members of the staff need basic manners and training about how to deal with the customers. Also the food is overpriced.

4 star only for the view, lal Maas was a major turn off as it was served in chilly chicken gravy. Though hara bara kebab was delicious. Staff was good but the main attender was busy bragging about himself

We went there as the rating on other food apps was 4.9. definitely seems like fake reviews now. The food was below average. The aloo parathas were bad. Kheema paratha was terrible. Paneer tandoor was half cooked. Though we asked for anniversary dinner and called them thrice to remind regarding the same, they ruined it for us.

This place provides one of the best lake view as well as candle light dinner. It has a royal type seating besides the lake which is usually packed! Tried the mutton rogan josh, mutton seekh kebab, mutton biryani. The quantity is very satisfying and at very reasonable prices! Ranjit ji made our dinner experience amazing with his amazing hospitality and service. Would surely recommend the mutton here as its fresh and tender! Special thanks to Ranjit ji !

Can it be any better? Well my favourite place of all times. One of the best place with reasonably priced menu, awesome ambience. Just get a chance to sit on the riverside and enjoy your lunch or dinner. It would actually be cold. So be prepared. I really like the way and the pace at which they serve. They let you enjoy the ambience instead of giving you quick food and letting you go.

Went for lunch to this place and we loved it. The restaurant offers good food, quick service, welcoming staff, reasonable rates and a nice ambience with a view of lake pichola. Our only concern was the use of extra spices in the items ordered but I guess that's how food is cooked here.

The place has a really nice ambience with beautiful view. The music, the seating and the peace was too appreciable. But the food wasn't as per our expectation. Kadi chawal was too ordinary for our taste and I would request please not to order dahi k kabab. The service was slow as well. A bit on pricer side.

One of the great place for dine in Udaipur with seating soo close to lake Pichola you feel like you are on a shikara ride. The place is crowded and has a huge queue to get a seat. Quality and quantity of the restaurant is really good. Staff is well behaved and friendly. We stuffed ourselves with loads of stuff The laal maans and tandoori roti are awesome here.

Place is good to visit. View is awesome and food is also nice. The one thing I didn't like is they are taking my phone and posting reviews themselves. I told them you don't have to do this everyone who will come here will obviously give good review. (Earlier this review was... waiter's name and the dish he served Panner tikka. So we went to this place as it was recommended to us by the staff of the hotel we were staying in. However, what a big disappointment, I know their reviews on trip advisor are good but if anyone is a genuine food lover like I am, just a caution, we were served raw fish tikka which we returned, and the Chicken curry which was a Rajasthani rendition supposedly to be the best, had no taste, no flavour, I left my food and plate midway. I was really looking forward to the place and it’s a neat cool place with a view but for food, you can try other options.

So that you guys can see what they serve. Too crowded. For the lake view seat, you need to wait 30min to 1.5 hours. No management of giving seats through the numbering system. People fight for the lake view seat who wins, they get. Pros- even though I was unable to see the dish , the taste was good.

Nothing great about this place, just that it is located lake side. Not every place that is at lake side will be good or great ! We visited for lunch and everything that we ordered was just average. Too spicy food & too much oily as well. I might skip dinner tonight honestly. Service was almost average. Nothing fancy about the place. We ate at Hari Garh tonight and couldn’t have been happier. The food was delicious and the service absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is right on Lake Pichola so it has amazing views of the water. You can eat sitting in a little raised area with cushions and pillows right beside the water. It was a lovely experience. For dinner, we ordered the Kaju Curry (cashew curry) from the chef’s special part of the menu, along with some naan. Everything was delicious. The service was absolutely fantastic! Our server Mahendra Panwar was happy to give us menu suggestions explain things to us. He even took the time to serve us our food. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Mahendra! The location was very convenient for us as we were staying at the Lake Pichola Hotel which is located just a few metres away from the restaurant. If you are staying around Lake Pichola this restaurant should be easy to access either on food or by rickshaw. Definitely give it a try if you are in the Udaipur area!

The food and experience at Harigarh was excellent. The korma, paneer butter masala, and dal bati churma were all amazing. Naan and Paratha breads deserve a special mention too. Setting on the lake is lovely and staff are really nice. Highly recommended!

View is nice as it is on Lake pichola so indeed Lake view hotel however we did liked the service as it was slow or the person serving was too young for the job. We went there for lunch and started with chicken pakoda - it tasted like literally pakoda but never tasted like chicken instead it was regular pakoda. Fresh lime soda was good was served without ice as requested.

We ordered veg pakoras & hydrabadi biryani, they took 1 hr to prepare our order, we got irritated. These were the worst pakoras ever, biryani had no taste. Service is so bad that we ourselves had to ask for plates to eat biryani. Prices are so high just because of the location and Even the view is not worth it. At the end waiter even asked for tip. Don’t waste your time & money here

One of the great and economical place is udaipur with great view and sitting. I loved the vibe here . Service is pathetic. Waiters are confused and don't know how to handle rush. Indian food I tried it was amazing but Chinese was not that great. It's a must visit overall when in udaipur.

I stopped by at this restaurant after visiting the Ambrai Ghat for my breakfast. I loved the lakeside seating and views here. We ordered chai, chhole bhature and parathe here. Everything was made very well and tasted pretty great. It was quite a delightful time here as there weren’t more people at that time of the day.
