I had a great experience in this boutique restaurant. The place is so gorgeous. Staff is good. Everything is made fresh. Food is tasty. One can enjoy this place after walking all around Udaipur.

Visit Royal Repast for lunch or dinner if you are in Udaipur and you will thank me later. I went with my father for lunch and we ordered Akhni Mutton Pulao, Laal Maas, Vegetable Raita and Tandoori Rotis. The service was slow but it was worth the wait. The meat was succulent and melted in mouth. When the Akhni Pulao was placed on the table, its aroma spread throughout. It was the best Akhni Pulao I have had till date. The food preparation was great with authentic spices & flavour. We sat indoors as it was pretty hot in the noon but if you visit Royal Repast in the evening, you can enjoy the pretty Greece-ish outdoor setting with a beautiful play of Blues and Whites. The place was a little difficult to find although it is on the main road. The police station is the nearest landmark which helped us spot this hidden gem. Do try out Akhni Pulao without fail if you happen to visit this place in Udaipur.

If you are checking for a restaurant that will offer you the real Royal Rajasthani ( especially laal mans ), this is the right spot . Well this restaurant doesn't have a lake view but they have maintained the property completely justifying the name. Founders used to serve in prime minister's kitchen . Little outside of the ghat side but very much accessible by autos. You can book table in advance and they have very good polite staff. Parking is also available at the place. It's on the way to sajjangarh palace. Akhni pulav and rabbit keema is also their chef special.

Best restaurant near Hathipol area of Udaipur. A beautiful heritage house has been tastefully converted into a restaurant. The place has considerable heritage in terms of beautiful paintings, polo game victories and other items. Very good food. Very courteous staff.

Great food. Had Dhungar Maas (Lamb Meet) and Khargosh Kebab. It was an absolute delight. I would say that it was the best place I had a meal at in Udaipur. Offers an eye-catching ambience and sheer Royal vibes. A bit expensive though, but worth the price.

Cozy Little Place with Quality Food

The place accidentally came into notice through Dineout option. Just to give a casual try I just went with family for dinner. Ambience is just like a old Royal heritage property is been converted to a Restaurant well managed and hygienic. Let's talk about food....if you are a NonVeg lover(like my wife and son)than you have a treat in your hand as you will find the Udaipur's best NonVeg. But Vegetarian like me can never be dissappointed as they provide very tasteful options in Veg. Portion they provide is very well cooked only thing is that you have to have good patience as they do not compromise on cooking to serve you fast. That's what make them special. Do check there wall of Fame having so many glorious personalities visit to there place. Staff is polite and do make sure that you have perfect tastebud experience with there food.🙂 we ordered Dungaar Maans, PaneerLababdar, Egg Biryani and Naan

I went there for a Saturday dinner and what a decision it was! This place is amazing in every aspect! The place is located at a very prime location near the Chetak Circle. It has indoor and outdoor seating and both have a charm of their own. Coming to the food, I ordered their special Banjara Murgh and Keema Baati. Banjara Murgh is prepared in white gravy, but it is not sweet. Its mild taste was really good and the dish was very well prepared. The highlight of the evening was Keema Baati. They prepare it only on order, so it takes about 45 minutes once you place the order. But it is definitely worth the wait. The baati itself has a keema filling, which is absolutely delicious. It is served with a keema gravy, which is quite tasty. The thing I liked was how both the keema preparations were world apart! This is a must try dish and you should not miss it if you have enough time to wait! The staff is really polite and courteous, and their service is pretty good. This is one of the highly recommended places if you are in Udaipur.

This is an old house of bedlas which got converted to the fabulous restaurant. The place has an unbeatable old world charm and one can get a time travel feeling getting into the place. Now the food, i don't think i need to add much to the other reviews here .. the food is really good. My standout dish was akhni pulao and dungar Maas. That combo was a meat lover heaven for me. The soup is spicier than what i usually got. Both hot-n-sour and also sweet corn. Chicken biryani was decent... Better than many places. Dessert selection in my opinion could be better. Parking is available on site and even though the place is located in a busy area, once inside its so peaceful. There are ample seating in the courtyard and also inside house. I like inside house because of the decor. They even had a fire place which seemed used during winter. Overall a great to spend a lazy afternoon with family or friends. Would definitely recommend. Better than many outlets at lake pichola side, if you are looking for comparison

Recently I happen to visit this place as i wanted to try something new in Udaipur & it was really amazing. The food was top notch. Although it is famous for its Neapolitan pizza but i decided to try something else & it turned out to be delicious as well. The food & drinks are on the expensive side. The ambiance is simple but royal & classy. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. You can try non veg. dishes too & you will love it. Kebabs were the best i have ever had, so tender & flavourful. Can’t wait to try their famous pizza, the next time. 👍🏻

If u are a first timer and looking for Royal Repast with/out Google Maps then you will surely miss it . Situated in one of busy streets of Udaipur this place gives you a feeling of a colonial empire . The ambience and calmness is reminds you of the early English Regime . We went to this place on a weekday afternoon for lunch and the place was empty with no guests at all . But surprisingly the food was very fresh and tasty. We had paner lababdar and kurkuri bhindi with tandoori roti. Nice rich gravy full of aroma made the meal very special . Its not an expensive place and is frequented by foreigners in the winters and usually required prior reservations as confirmed by one the staff members .

Visited this place, few days back - Ambience is Ok less crowded, food quality is below average (ok/ok) but the quantity of food is not value for money very high price! really disappointed! will not recommmed this place, one time visit! Palasa named place in udaipur they are serving same pizza at low rates and even more high quanlity! must visit and compare!

The restaurant is situated in an old heritage bungalow and provides probably the finest dining experience in Udaipur. The restaurant is run by Badla family which rightly claims to be a house of culinary heritage of Rajasthan. The same family is said to have originated Lala mass and they literally serve the best Lala Maas in Udaipur. We also tried their Italian and it was too good. Neapolitan pizzas were the best I have ever had. Cocktails were on point too. Vishnu’s recommendations were superb. All in all poppy is a must visit place when you’re in Udaipur.

Went here this week with family based on a friends recommendation! Food was below average and overpriced! The chicken kebabs I ordered, smelled bad and felt like rubber. Gave feedback to the server but he did nothing about it! Laal Maas was too salty and poor quality. Won’t ever recommend it to anyone.

This is something we missed last visit to Udaipur. Hidden away unless someone recommends. We were lucky to know a royal family cousin who treated us here. The food was the best in Udaipur and the ambience was unbelievably simple yet displayed royalty.

We stayed in Udaipur for two nights and came to Royal Repast twice for dinner. I think that says it all. Try the lachha paratha and the paneer tandoori sliders - amazing!!!

This is one of the best restaurants in Udaipur. Not exaggerating. It has a deeply rooted history of Bedla family. It is a historic bunglow converted into a restaurant. The family is known as the keeper of the Mewar recipes. Loved the food made by Chef Raj Kumar. And a very friendly service by Captian Taru Singh. Thank you for such a special experience for me and my wife. We ordered Chiken Seekh Kabab, Laal Maas, Gobi Lal Shorva, Banjara Aloo, Lachcha Paratha and Shrikhand.

I just love the food here!! I have never had such a tasty tomato soup ever. I mean if the basic dish is so good , you know the food will mot disappoint you. They serve veg & non veg both. Lots of options on menu but do try their Pizza and soup! higjly recommended

I went on a date and we both loved the food. We had Khargosh kebab, mushroom ravioli and pizza. I loved everything. The PIZZA was one of the best that I have ever had. SERVICE is very prompt. The waiters are very attentive and friendly.

Poppy’s is quaint restaurant located just north of the old city. It has a selection of Italian and Indian food. They have their own wood fired oven and was enough to convince us to try some pizzas and drinks. The Rodolfo pizza was great, although another 30-40 seconds in the oven would was really crisped the base. Our cocktails were also well made and tasty. Highly recommend to anyone craving a pizza!

Royal Repast located near Hathipole police station looks as if has parking issue. But they have ample space once you get in their entrance. Its like a bungalow converted to dining rooms. Wooddenly done. And attractive point is the Aegean arcade . With hues of blue and white. There also you can be seated. Food and food quality was amazing. We had a starter with breads cut in round shape with caramalised onions as topping. Amazo it were. LIT cocktail was good. We had pasta. It was ok. As we were the only guests so we were little doubtful but they said its guests mostly are foreigners. Nice place.

We had a great party here, nice food and good service is the USP of Royal Repast😊 We were planning for an office party and after research and discussion we shortlisted this restaurant. They served us well and food was good. Price is a little high , otherwise I would surely recommend it.

Over priced tast less food , I ordered “mitti ki handi ka mutton” it was not prepared as per preparation written on menu, too much spices they used even i told them MEDIUM SPICY. Another I ordered Paneer sulla, they just put too much red chilli masala on paneer, it was bitter, i asked waiter to ask coock what cooked this, but he never back. It was my anniversary they made it worst. Fake restaurant.
