This lake view restaurent is owned by a Hindu King of Udaipur bt sadly I experienced Racial Descrimination at this restaurent...They didnt even pay attention to my table requirement when I entered and I was asked to find my own table...Bt at same time their approach to the foreign guests was very different...Having this experience in a property owned by Maharaja of Udaipur is realy unfortunate ..While leaving when i told that I am going to write abt it, their aproach became very sweet and polite bt by that time damage was done..and mood was spoiled...Totaly not recommended...

Apart from the location and service nothing else is good . High price for bad food . Prawns tempura was par cooked , chicken curry was stale and bindi was actually raw . Please do not visit this pace .

Great view, average service, really poor-tasting overpriced latte. Would recommend going elsewhere for a similar view.

The most expensive chicken tikka wrap in the world. It costs about 750 rupees for just two tikka wrapps, some onion slices, and a wedge of lemon. It took the kitchen 90 minutes to bring the food out. Totally unworthy of my time and money.

Gorgeous resort in an even more gorgeous location— probably one of the best resort resorts I’ve stayed at, comparable to a five seasons. The building and rooms are beautiful and kept well (if just a bit small, but I barely spent time inside so who cares), the climate control is perfect, and the staff go above and beyond, particularly the bartender.. I had literally no complaints which is new lol

The worst restaurant I have been to in India. A total disgrace. The prices, the food, the ambience. Everything was below par. A stain on The Taj.

Great Place on the banks of Lake Pichola. The rooms were neat and clean. Staff was very friendly. They welcomed us with a surprise cake. They even helped us arrange a surprise Candlelight dinner. Had a great time staying here.

We were here for a 4 night stay and had a spectacular service provided to us. Really appreciate the staff for making us super comfortable. Also, the food/buffet was awesome. Thanks to Mayank for making our dinners special.

Excellent hospitality.. the staff takes care of every request.. The buffet menu and the architecture is basic. But the interiors and landscape are tastefully done. And the service is simply unmatched. The restaurant team, reception, housekeeping.. everyone.

Loved our stay! It felt like home. The staffs were so so good and very polite and the hospitality was overwhelming. Everything was so perfect and well maintained. Very good hotel and highly recommend. Thank you and keep it up.

Trident was an out of the world experience. They redefine hospitality. Our 5 years old son got sick and they did not leave a stone unturned to get him back in shape. Special shout out to Catherine at the front desk who made him super comfortable and ensured that he left the property happy and healthy. Thank you again!

Stayed here 3 times. Hotel and service are great. The lake view from the room is amazing, breakfast view is also great. Food is quite good as is the bar. It's a little more expensive than other hotels and at season it's quite expensive, but it's worth it.

Fabulous location, warm and welcoming staff. One of our best stays and almost consistently the entire staff is so welcoming and hospitable - be it front desk, f&b or housekeeping. Too many names to mention but especially acknowledging Shivam, Himanshu, Mohit, Vishal, Andrew, Kunika, Lokesh, Nikhil, Manisha, Binita, Lakshmi, Neha, Chef Chinmaye and everyone else who made our stay wonderful.

Peaceful, calm with nature feel, surrounded by birds. Peacocks can be seen in garden. Excellent lake view! Have minimum 3 night stay with family.

Excellent location centrally located. It's a Oberoi property. The garden's are very well maintained. You can see peacock. It's rooms are good and well maintained. The staff is courteous. Allena at the reception is very good and polite. She is the person to look for, she was of great help. The service is quick and prompt. The food is delicious. There is kids play area and a good pool. The gym is overlooking the pool. Overall a great experience.

I would simply say, it's a must stay hotel. Splendid property with lavish greenery and all amenities under the roof. Everything including bar, gym, pool, spa is state of the art and responsibly managed. Buffet serves a wide spread and taste is awesome. Chefs and subordinate staff have a nice and polite behaviour. Even the trainees are groomed well. Covid guidelines are being followed and only fully vaccinated are allowed to stay. In terms of cost I would say that it's cheaper inspite of state of the art 5 star stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for stay with friends, family or even alone.😊😊

Trident Udaipur is a fine, classic hotel. The rooms are nice, clean and offering all modern facilities. The hotel has a beautiful pool located in a big garden. The staff is outstanding: always in for a little chat and offering a free drink, a dessert or even a little souvenir. The restaurant is absolute top quality: our complements once more for the chef who served us the probably best ravioli carbonara ever. Unfortunately the room safe did not function correctly, not even after reporting it 3 times.

Everything is amazing One can leave anything in room but don't leave your wallet. My friend left his wallet in room and 2000 was missing from it when we came back. But thanks to well behaved frontline staff they handled the situation maturely. Hotel is amazing, staff is fabulous Thank you trident for making my first trip of udaipur fabulous

Overall, the best experience I have had at a hotel till now! The room could have been a tad bigger, but it was still okay! The amenities were top notch, so no complaints there! The garden, the facilities, and the behaviour of the staff very good👍

Oh, I remember the Trident hotel in Udaipur before. It's a beautiful hotel with a stunning view of Lake Pichola. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel also offers a range of amenities and has a great pool area. Overall, it's a great choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Udaipur! 🌟🏨

It's a great place to stay. Ambiance, Service, Staff knowledge, support everything is up to mark. They have provided everything as they promised. I would definitely like to stay next time. The pool was clean. Food was good. The bar's ambiance was good too. The garden and outside seating space was good too. They have their own sunset point with a really great view.

Amazing service I must admit. Right from the front desk to the restaurant, the service was too good. Large lush green surroundings. We had so many birds visiting us Only negative point we found was rooms were bit small. The terrace space is fantastic Lake is nearby. So many nearby options to roam and to shop.

Overall, the best experience I have had at a hotel till now! The room could have been a tad bigger, but it was still okay! The amenities were top notch, so no complaints there! The garden, the facilities, and the behaviour of the staff were so heart warming, I was actually proud of my wife to have selected this hotel of all others! I would certainly love to visit again!

We came bit early for checkin but realised that we booked wrong date. Nishanth, Bridal and I cannot remember another gentleman s name who was the manager were brilliant. They made us comfortable and accommodated our stay and also upgraded us. Breakfast was excellent, good spread, very attentive staff. Property is amazing. Children enjoyed playing here. Will highly recommend and thank all the staff

Nice stay at Trident. The staff is courteous, particularly Ajay from the housekeeping and Bikash and Arya at the front desk. The property  is big, beautiful and the gardens are nicely kept. The rooms are a bit small esp if you are traveling with a child. Because we visited during the Diwali holidays, it was full but the service was not impacted. They had kept a selection of Indian sweets at the reception area, a gesture that didn't go unappreciated.

I love the hotel. Staff is wonderful, and I’m sure I’ll want to say more after my four-day stay. Today, I especially want to mention Shin, who gave me an amazing massage at the hotel spa. She was so attentive to my needs and focused on my problem areas, while still giving me a full body massage. Her technique is excellent, she made sure I liked the level of pressure and she was very professional and respectful in every way. I highly recommend Shin!

Over Rated.. comparatively less luxury.. average experience. INR 13,000/- to 14,000/- Per night for a basic 100 Sq Ft room (all space included) just does not make any sense. This can no way be considered luxury. If you are a family of 3 or 4 the room does not even have breathing space. Makes your In-room stay an adjustment. Amenities inside the room - comparable to any descent 3 Star hotel - all basic. Placement of the rooms are also wearied, you might have to walk through long low lit corridors to reach the reception, pool or the restaurant - does not inspire. This has a direct link to the long waiting period and misses in room service for food or house keeping. The landscaping and gardens around the property is good and nice walkway all through to trident and the boating point. Good for exercise as well. Now lets come to the food - breakfast spread - descent - few items taste really good and few are just there for name sake - quiet common in all buffets, hence be careful what you order. I found all the Indian preparations pretty descent. again nothing to be wow about as we can find more tasty food around Udaipur in good restaurants. Service - basic service is all good. However, if you make any special request the team is not cooperative. We were on a corporate travel and had to meet them multiple rounds to arrange for 20% of what we wanted. So the question - am i I going back there again - the answer is NO. There are far better properties and experiences in India for this money.

Worst restaurant. Shady ambience with limited menu options.

  • 1/5 shikha g. 4 years ago on Google
Absolute waste of time and money. Pictures online are incorrect. It is indoor and no particularly great view and way too expensive for a shady restaurant! Saw a mouse also enter the apparent 5 star rated premises.

After a tiring exploration of the City Palace and a hungry kid, we opted for this place just off the entrance of the palace. The resto is part of the Fateh Prakash Palace hotel and is a fine dine place, and hence the pricing is on the higher side. Great views of Lake Pichola from the restaurant, ambience simple yet beautiful. Hot afternoon meant a vodka cocktail was on the cards and it was refreshing. On the food, some veg kebabs, paneer makhani with some bread, veg biryani for our order - great taste overall , high on quality and quantity. The meal ended with some Jelly custard which was enough to get us going for the rest of the day. Service was a bit slow but food came in hot which made up for it.

Worst experience i ever had with any restaurant. When you call and ask for reservations they will tell you its walk in for lunch but get ready for the humiliation on the security gate . They wont let you entre and ask for reservation and d or kessage . Worst experience of dining in udaipur .

The ambience is very nice and the weather in the evening is great but some of their staff is extremely rude and arrogant. The food is quite overpriced and tastes quite bad. But you can still get something packaged to drink just to enjoy the view for some time.

  • 4/5 Vanitha M. 5 years ago on Google
The ambiance were simply delightful, it was a chilly evening and my first day in Udaiphur, My masala tea request took awhile but it was the best tea I had in my entire trip to Rajastan. The service was very pleasant, we were given good recommendation of food choices. The Briyani was aromatic and tantalizing the senses but not over powering. The palace view from the restaurant gives out an old with new grandeur. However, they can surely do with more welcoming smiles to help guest feel more at ease.

Trident is known for its hospitality and it never disappoints you on that note. So to start with, Wonderful hospitality. Wonderful food The rooms and ambience is just a lil below being called best but the hospitality covers it up completely. You would always want to come back to the hotel for the kind of warmth and service you get here. The trident bar was amazing as well. Some wonderful cocktails like espresso martini and others were just amazing
