Amazing experience. You must experience it at least once. I went to Udaipur twice and took the boat ride both times. The entry fee is 180 Rs. per adult if you travel on a boat having capacity of 30 people. If you want to go on a less crowded ride, you can go on a boat with the capacity of 10 people which costs 360 Rs. per adult. There are other boat options such as motor boats, etc. are also available. The duration of the ride is around 15 to 20 minutes. It takes you closer to Taj palace and you can even see the Udai Villas from the boat. The magnificent view of the palace will leave you stunned. There are eating stalls near the lake. You can also buy Rajasthani items from the roadside shops there.

This lake is the main attraction of Udaipur city. On one side of the lake there are green hills and on the other there are heritage building with mesmerizing architecture. Good boating with lower rates than city palace. The lake water is not very clean but not that dirty too. It was nice experience. It's not as well maintained as I would have thought of as per charges we pay.. However it's much cleaner and maintained than the Nakki lake of Mount Abu.

Entry was ₹180, waited for like 5-10 minutes, the ride lasted 20 minutes and it was worth every penny. Went there during monsoon and the lake ride didn't disappoint. You get to see the jag mandir. There is a boat every hour starting 10 am (last ride at 5 pm). The ride lasts an hour with a stop over at Jag Mandir. 500/- per adult from 10 am to 2 pm and post that it is 800/-. For a price of 7500/- you can have a boat to yourself. Lifejackets available before you board the boat. We took the 10 am ride since we were with our toddler and wanted to avoid the crowds. We had the boat to ourselves! Enjoyed the sights and sounds of Lake Pichola from the boat.

This boat ride is located near the base of karni mata temple near the doodh talai lake. Affordable tickets compared to boat ride from the palace and they take you around the lake without any stop in between. The one from city Palace has a stop had Jal Mahal for some expensive beer or coffee with view.
