Super nice experience here. Not many seats. It was art to see how the hand drip coffee was made. Good coffee. The boss will speak a bit mandarin like ‘冰的’,price.

We stopped in during our visit to Japan. We had 8 drinks that were all terrific. It is a cute shop that is clean and welcoming. I am not a coffee drinker, but enjoyed the hot chocolate.

Beautiful, tiny, modern coffee and espresso spot. Just a few seats, a simple menu, and a few tasty nibbles, but all perfectly done with very warm service. Worth a trip.

Proper coffee, proper service and proper vibes. The coffee was high quality and delicious. We also had the toast which was AMAZING, the barista used Pic's PB which is pretty expensive in Japan! We went on a Sunday mroning and the place was quiet. The braista is super nice and polite, he also speaks excellent English if you need to communicate. Interior is also thoughtfully laid out and designed.

The owner shared how he quit his job and then discovered a love for coffee he then spent years pursing to eventually open this shop. It was a wonderful experience to sit and enjoy coffee here and see the joy the owner has for what he does.

Tiny place with fabulous coffee - barista is lovely to chat to. Coffee excellent (by NZ/AU standards!). Highly recommend - opens at 8:30am too, very rare here!

I was looking for a cup of coffee, the first place I went to was just closing up,but an employee recommended the Common as her favorite place in the area. I went there and it was a really nice experience. I got an oat milk latte which was delicious. They use the best oat milk - oat barista what i have found in Japan. In addition, the owner was very helpful and nice to me! I grabbed a coffee and left feeling great how this random stop made my day!

The best iced latte I've ever had! The owner was so kind, welcoming and the place had such a tranquil setting. I've never given a review for a coffee shop before but felt the need to! We have been trying different places every day but will be returning here before we leave Kyoto.

Jewel of a cafe. Came a couple times during my stay in Kyoto. The owner/barista was warm, attentive, and a master of his craft. The coffee is great and the peanut butter toast is incredible! Some in my group say life changing, and I’m not gonna argue. The attention to detail is top notch: fresh squeezed OJ, the ceramic and glassware selection, seating options, Aesop soap in the toilet 👌also offered oat milk as the non-dairy option

It was our last day in Kyoto and it snowed in the morning. I have been telling my husband he needs to visit this beautiful coffee shop before we leave. We both ordered flat white and it was the best. The owner was so kind and generous sharing tips about how to make a good cup of coffee. We loved the shop and of course the coffee. It really made our Kyoto trip special. Although we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy one more cup of coffee as we got a morning train to catch, but such brief encounter and conversation we had with the owner going to make us miss Kyoto more. Looking forward to go back to Kyoto and enjoy such lovely cup of coffee and I hope it will be soon. Hope owner and the coffee shop all the best. Thank you .

😐 Couldn’t find much about this place in English on the Internet. I came here to do some work. It is quiet, a good and affordable place to rest over night, with shower amenities/ hair dryer etc. Bathrooms are clean. Good wifi speed. Close to station. Spent ~¥3800 for 2 people in private room + member...

👍👍 Very crowded Starbucks outlet. The queue was long. This outlet seemed to be very popular with tourists and the locals. Even with ample seating space, the seats were not sufficient for the crowds. Definitely needed to wait to get a seat. There was a toilet for the customers. Though the toilet was ver...

👍 Great Coffeeshop to enjoy an early morning breakfast. This place opens up early so there won't be a wait. It gets crowded later in the day. I recommend to save 1000-2000 yen for hotel breakfast and come here instead

👍 very busy coffee stand (lots of tourists) but worth a visit if latte art and cool baristas warm your heart ☕️🤎 no seats inside, but you can find a spot near the katsura river to enjoy your trendy cup of coffee ;)
