The Natural History Museum in Ulaanbaatar is nothing short of impressive. The exhibits are so realistic that it feels like you're traveling through time. From the intricate details of the fossils to the immersive recreations of different environments, the museum truly captivates your imagination. It's an awe-inspiring experience that brings Mongolia's natural history to life in a way that is both educational and thrilling.

Very thoughtful place, great exhibition and intersting facts about the country's fauna and dinosaur findings. It's mostly written in Mongolian, so have your translator app at hand. They offer student discounts and elderly/disabled people and children free access. Loved the funny eyes on some of the animals haha.

Not a bad spot to learn more about dinosaurs and geology. The museum will eventually be moving to a larger, newer location. Right now, it's got enough to see for about an hour or so. It's also one of the cheaper museums in town.

The museum is small compared to what you would think of as a museum. The entrance is closed so make sure u open it (though it has no sign). I stood a good 5 minute wondering if it was even a museum before braving to venture in. Inside is a different word. The dinosaurs are unique and well displayed. The fossils are well labeled and explained. The moderate collection is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely but you can see that it is quite old. I expected a bit more of dinosaurus skelletons but enjoyed very much anyway. 15000mng for entrance

It is okay for one-time visiting, but I doubt for revisiting. It was clearly not well-cared, some walls were seriously damaged, and half of lamps were gone. My kid loves to see the dinosaur and other animals things, but that is all. If you have lots of time and no idea what to do, you may go since it is free for kids to enter. But if you dont have much time thus need to be selective, this is definitely not your spot.

The staff was very nice with me 15,000T to be paid in cash Free pictures (rare enough in the city to be underlined) Free WiFi to translate boards in your language A room dedicated for dinosaurs very interesting even if I was expecting more fossils

If this is the same museum as people call the dino museum in Ulaanbaatar than this is a great museum. The displays are even better than last year. Beyond the large meteorites and the dinosaur skeletons (which are the main highlights) there is plenty more to see. Free WiFi.

The museum is much smaller than you would expect. However there are enough pieces in here that will make it an enjoyable visit. To be able to see parts of these prehistoric creatures is quite the sight.

Can’t really say anything. I walked over there during the hours they had posted for being open. The door was open. I walked inside and was promptly told they were closed. I pointed to the hours on the door (which were within the hours I was there) and they just said sorry, closed. So perhaps call ahead first. The monastery is about a 10 minute walk up the road from here.

Here is a good place for kids. But as an adult, I also enjoyed the fossils of dinosaurs, which are found in Mongolia, and the minerals of Mongolia.

Nice museum a mixture of old communism style and modern touches. Entry fee to be paid cash for non-mongolial card holders (15000).

Not a big museum but enough pieces to learn the environmental change, dinosaur and wild animals in Mongolia. Try to find a English tour guide (no fee only tips) will make the visit more enjoyable since almost everything is written in Mongolian.

With exception of dinosauři scelets, thé collection Is bad. Butterflies are with onle 20 % of correct ID.

Well worth the price for introduction to fossils found in Mongolia. Although the exhibitions are limited, the museum is well organized and staff are friendly and accommodating. Student tickets are also priced at 1500 tugrik which is a steal for a museum in the city.

Enjoyable visit. Inconsistent English translations slightly detracted - some interesting exhibits lacked them but many did have them

Finally a real home for the (returned) stolen dino fossils! The caretakers and curators are knowledgeable and proud.

Absolutely worth to see. The entrance fee is 9000 mnt but if you want to take photo you have to buy another ticket and it costs 10000 mnt. So i paid 19000 mnt for entrance and photography. There are hundreds of frozen wild animals and butterflies beside the dinosaurus skeletons and fossils.
