We had a 26-day tour itinerary with Muugii. He replied fast to our request to have an authentic and on a budget tour. He proposed a well thought itinerary across the south, west, and north of Mongolia. BUT He promised an experienced guide, and he sent us a total beginner. This guide didn't visit half of the itinerary that we were going to visit. Not only was his last guide job 4 years ago, but this job was his second long journey. We ended up having food poisoning and not guided throughout the tour. We got mostly first page wikipedia information. Muugii said we would have air mattresses and a big car charger, as we were 5 tourists + driver + guide. The night before the tour, we met, and he told us that only 2 persons would have air mattresses, and the car doesn’t have the car charger with multiple plugs as confirmed before via whatsapp (it had only 2 slow plugs for 7 people) What annoyed me it was his careless attitude: "Buy the charger yourselves." No sorry whatsoever, no "let me see if I can manage something until tomorrow". It is a small thing, but it is about his attitude. We didn't met the eagle hunters even if it was part of the tour. We only met some family that had an eagle. After 2 weeks, we demanded a new guide as the first one was a total disaster(almost a second food poisoning, lack of professionalism, being late, etc.) The second guide had more life experience, but it was not a professional guide. After the end of the trip, we met with Muugii to talk about the trip. When confronted about the problems and dishonesty, he divagated the discussion being the guide's fault, not his. Each time he would feel cornered why he lied to us, he would act half dumb & half drunk that he didn't understand us. He didn't want to admit that he didn't kept up the promises. He didn't even say sorry. I asked for a 5% refund. He refused to give any refund because he had extra cost with the second guide. When we insisted, he said we should go to a judge because he doesn't understand us why are we not happy. I understand it was a budget trip, 8000$ for 5 people, but that shouldn't be an excuse for dishonesty and lack of accountability. The itinerary was well thought, and the driver was good, but don't expect to have a professional guide. Only someone who speaks good English. When things went wrong, Muugii changed the guide, but only after we insisted. What upset us the most was that he didn't take any accountability. He blamed it only on the guide, even if he was the one who chose the guide and hired him.

Worst experience ever. Initially he agreed to a credit card payment (I have it in writing), but at the last minute, the night before the tour insisted on cash only. While we were discussing how to come up with a last minute cash demand he exploded, cancelled my 17 day private tour told me to look forcanother company, and then even refused to refund the pre-paid 420 USD deposit. Most unprofessional, unpleasant and dishonest.

Muugii is a great, friendly, and professional guy! Had a wonderful trip with him around the Gobi desert. He made sure that all worked out very well as planned, helped with finding budget accommodation for us, and also offered a very fair price. Highly recommend going on a trip with him. He's also very responsive on Messenger / WhatsApp to clarify whatever questions you might have.

The host also manages tour guide. Arrival and departure day, I stayed here free. Room is very clean and cozy. The price is rational for one night. And close to the air-port(about 10minutes by a car. No noisy by air-plain, etc..) The host is a big and kind guy. He can speak English, Russian. have lots of information about Mongolia as a guide who experienced over than 200 tour for people who visited from all around world. I will visit again and again if I could go Mongolia again!

I traveled solo (female) to Mongolia and explored it with Muugii Tours from 22 February to 6 March 2023. It was one unforgettable experience. I did not use the guesthouse but I rather chose to see Mongolia through the eyes of local people sharing with them their day and night in different Gers. I was accompanied and guided only by a driver of Muugii Tours who was an extraordinary guy and driver. Both Muugii and Baagii are authentic, honest and warm people. I went to different places and enjoyed a series of festivals. I let my photos guide you for the rest. If you really wish to see the authentic Mongolian life, I highly recommend Muugii Tours. I felt safe and accompanied all the time.

With Muugii you can enjoy your trip with lots of laugh. Baagii is a trustworthy driver. When they team up, you can easily go through Mongolian wide rangeland.

👍 I remember this establishment and the staff here fondly, they're quite friendly and accomodating to your needs within reason. Whilst it's true the room are smallish and the showers and toilets are water closets, it is pretty good once you step out and explore the rest of the country by comparison....

👍👍 Probably the best place to stay Ulaanbaatar. The place is cheap, rooms are OK, breakfast served by them is good and the staffs are amazing. The hotel owner Jaaga is one of the nicest persons on Earth. Whatever you need, just ask him. He will help you no matter what's the time is. And the location is...
