Something we haven’t mentioned about the harbour is that it is edged by natural rock platforms dating back hundreds of millions of years. To understand this geology and see some remarkable specimens you can join the two-hour, guided Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk. This is led by enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable guides, and takes place only at low tide when the rocks are exposed. You can walk out (wear sensible shoes) to see the remains of prehistoric marine life preserved in amazing detail on the surface. To complement this experience, the Geological Time Walk has been set up on the north side of the harbour, with boulders and interpretive boards taking you on a chronological journey through 500 million years.

Was really cool walking around the rocks looking for fossils. If I had the chance to do it again, I’d try and be part of the guided tour to really understand the history.

Great place to see fossils. It's best with the friendly and knowledgeable guide and at 10 in the morning but the fossils are easy to find. We went at 3pm so half the walk was inaccessible. When you reach the car park that Google takes you to look for the swimming pools to the right and follow the path along the water front. Continue past the washed up sea weed. The fossils are easy to spot on the rock platforms. Once you spot the first you'll see plenty.

What a pity didnt see the fossil rock as the water level still high but saw a beautiful rock pool managed by council but closed today Tue for maintenance. Very good picnic and bbq area with proper toilet facilities. Did-Dell St access over 100 steps of concrete stairs Wason St it's moderate sealed slope road to walk down. Ulladulla Harbour level concrete easy path to walk by the sea, few mintues. Lots of parking.

A pleasant walk from the roadside car park down the stairs to the sea pool area. Dogs are allowed on leash which is great, and the beach area is very quiet.

Absolutely awesome place. If you are going to visit this place, I recommend the fossil walk guide. From my experience, our guide kindly identified what fossils we found and gave us some very interesting facts about the geology of the area. Overall, a great place to take your kids out in the sun.

A really informative and interesting walk. Great surrounding views of the town and bay, with excellent signage chock full of information during the walk. A really pleasant place to stroll through.

Couldn't find walk. Went at high tide. Was it underwater? Poorly signposted!

So much fun and such a pretty walk. Would be a good place to bring kids to let them find the fossils

Some great small fossils throughout the rocks to look at. Depending on the tides, ensure you leave time to return
