Extremely patient and professional instructors. Jeremy Is very logical in his explanation and detailed oriented, made sure I don’t skip step with all kinds of reminders and support. As for the rest of the team, not only are they proficient in teaching, they are wonderful people with passion for underwater experiences. Learnt so much from them, had so much fun chilling with them. Would definitely come back for safe dives because Salang water is amazing and I’m already missing the people!

Pricing, definitely value for $$$ than other dive centers in Tioman & That’s a plus point, its located at salang, of Tioman island. i brought my group of friends for leisure dives, 1 phone call to Paul Lai & everything was taken care of including my accommodation too. Paul & His team is very professional, great hospitality, service & most importantly Marine Monkees staff are not those typical dive center doing hard selling & give terrible service… I strongly recommend this Dive center.. superb service

Did my PADI Advanced Open Water with MM under Paul Lai. He is a very experienced and skilled instructor who knows how to assist and fine-tune my skills. He is fun, caring and humourous. He knows how to have crazy good fun underwater and on land, and when it comes to my safety, he takes it seriously. I really appreciate the balance. Everyone at the dive shop is very friendly. I had no problems with my dive gears. They take really good care of them and put in place a proper system on how to gear up and pack away. I had an awesome time. I got a lot of useful tips and enjoyed the story time about local tales, wreck history and divers' experiences which makes the diving trips more meaningful and fun. Definitely would come back to dive with MM again!

Completed my PADI advanced OW with Marine Monkees, under Paul’s supervision, who is a truly knowledgable, skilled and excellent teacher. Was quite anxious at first as I hadn’t gone diving in years but under Paul’s guidance and fine tuning, everything worked out beautifully and had great time learning. He’s got a great sense of humour as well 🐒, and knows how to have fun while being very mindful of our safety. Highly recommended to learn from them!!

Had a great time with Marine Monkees, they have amazing hospitality, knowledgeable and experienced! Huge shoutout to Paul, who puts safety first and taught us the reason behind the diving skills which is helpful, not forgetting his sense of humor as well which makes the the trip so memorable and fun! Will be back!

This local dive shop far exceeded my expectations. Went for refresher / leisure dive for 21-25 Sep. Instructors (Paul, Shonny, Jeremy and Naim) were very friendly, to the point where we were dining at their shop nearly every night cos they are so fun. Dive experience was sublime. Locations were well thought out with backups in case of overcrowding from other divers or poor conditions due to choppy seas. Instructors valued safety above all else which is exactly what is needed. Visited Chehbeh, Malang rock, Kador Bay, house reef, Rodgers wreck. Highly recommended!

No doubt the dive center and the instructors are good. 👍🏻 Helpful and friendly. An ideal place for those who wanna do a diving course while enjoying the rural life.
