I'm surprised that you consider a 3 star review to be good. Maybe I should elaborate. I purchased a box of mangoes and all were rotten, a punnet of cling peaches and all were mushy..... On the 31/12/2022 I went in searching for a specific cake and despite having no confectioners on duty, the bakery manager ( Addy) along with a sweet lady both went above and beyond to make my request possible. This now is what I call customer service and would vastly recommend all in need of baked delights to visit this branch. I purchased a couple other baked goods and was not disappointed. Hats off to LA Lucia Food Lovers Market, you have won the lottery with the gems you have employed at the bakery section.

This mall is my favorite, Lots of parking lots, clean and very safe. Almost got lost inside the shop due to renovations, the new Management should please teach their stuff respect. I drove there because I needed the Christmas tree, they had in 2021 (that kind) instead I was told (very rudely) the store belongs to someone new and there is no such tree! Duh!!!

Foodlover's Market are offering a weekend of extravagant savings to celebrate their store revamps. So much so, that there's ques to enter the La Lucia store. The la lucia store, management, and staff are running a well oiled machine! Little attention to details such as handing out bottles of water to patrons, as well as the smile and attitude of every single personnel that I encountered is truly rare in this day and age, especially amongst such chaos (Sale weekend). Everyone is polite, and motivated to assist. Well done!

I absolutely hate it ... whoever bought it changed the whole store. It's awful, the layout, the bakery, the deli, has all changed, there was no stock of vegetarian items, the health food section is smaller, there were no trolleys available. I went to the dairy isle, the butter was from R99 00 to R140, I mean the prices used to be so much cheaper. I'll never go there again.

I really like this Food Lover's Market. They have a kiosk at the front of the store which allows you to grab beverages and meals on the go without having to wait in long lines. It makes use of an express checkout system. The actual store has a lovely range and I highly recommend it.

I inadvertently put the wrong review for this store and apologise. This FDLM is a lovely store with a good variety of produce. The meat section is well laid-out and the bread and rolls were fresh. Keep an eye out for specials.

Ordered food platters from Edwin and Preya. 11/10 They were amazing!!! Edwin and Preya only offered the best service and quick with turn around time. They both deserve a raise and appraise 👏👏

I love the freshly baked bread, especially the sourdough, sweet potato and panini. Fruit and vegetables are ok, sometimes you can get really good deals but the quality is not consistently good. The same with the meat. I usually buy the canned tomatoes and pasta when on special. Fresh flowers are also hit and miss. There is currently a good sushi deal which I can recommend. Staff are friendly and the store is clean and spacious.

One of my favorite Food Lovers, their biltong is so good!!! I always go for the fruit, but recently I was very disappointed with their strawberries, most were not okay to eat but looked fine. So quality with their fruits aren't very consistent. Their pastries and breads/rolls are also really good.

I preferred it the way it was before? New owners took over. It used to have a beautiful coffee shop/restaurant. Today there is a much smaller and not very inviting coffee shop. Generally I feel the produce is more expensive and I rather buy from other shops.

Will never buy fruit(plums) pre packed in their plastic containers. On the outside the plums were firm and looked fresh. When cut open, ALL were dark brown and rotten. Had to throw all of them away. Never again!

Reasonably priced fresh fruit and vegetables. Best bread rolls in town. Outstanding butchery.

Really nice atmosphere,fresh food. Vegetables and fruit look so good. Good place to go as their is also a coffee / restuarant inside.

So I recently posted a review of everything that was purchased on the 20th December 2022. However, to my surprise it all wasn't well. The mangoes were rotten, they were 6 in a box. Out of 6, only 2 were good. The grapes went rotten in 2 days despite being refrigerated and the watermelon was soggy and disgusting. The malva pudding was basically a dried up cake that was extremely thick. My husband and I are extremely disappointed and hence the previous review has been deleted. Their meat quality and other items are still good, however the fruits we purchased were terrible. Unfortunately I will not revisit and will look at different options. Very disappointed.

Awesome new look, much better store layout .... The que system to pay, definitely an improvement.

The restaurant staff and food is amazing. The fresh fruit and vegetables are delicious. The store always allows me to take a trolley out because of arthritis my legs cannot go far on their own anymore. Nothing bad to report.

Just needs to sell gluten and lactose free goodies. Very neat and friendly staff.

Best place to shop at. I bought whole tomatoes tinned. Especially good if you are trying to build up your prepper pantry. The tin tomatoes were 4 for R50 and can be used till 31/08/23. Need to stock up on essentials then this is a good place to shop.

Love the freshness and the variety of the fresh foods. Always neat and clean. Bakery is always stocked with delicious goodies. Only one snag, just do not like the open cake (self service ) concept in the bakery. Have witnessed many customers openly touching or picking up cakes then leaving them back down and picking up another. This is definitely unsanitary. A total put off. People, these are days of Pandemic. Stop with the ignorance and disgusting ways !! If Food lovers bakery staff could perhaps monitor or even help with serving, that would be much appreciated by alot of customers.

Fresh vegetables and fruit available. Meat /mutton and beef and pork as well as chicken. Under renovations now 23 September 2022. Don't know how long its going to take.

I actually asked the biltong to be very thinly cut because it's for an 88yr lady with few teeth. The photos show the different cutting i receive for the same request. One being a butcher and the other a conniseur
