A great cafe on Thistle Street where one can smell the aroma of coffee on the way soon reaching there. We had a cappuccino and flat white, and both were really nice. I further tried a single espresso with the Brazilian type of beans, which delivered quite a balanced taste with a good mouthfeel, and eventually I bought a small pack for my own use. There is a mini roastery at the corner so the beans there should be always freshly made. I wish I had known this place sooner.

Firstly: the owner is super friendly, warm and welcoming. Secondly: they roast their beans here, the coffee is extremely nice. Location: it is in a quiet residential type of area, yet still very very close to the center. If you are particular about your coffee, don't like over crowded touristy place. This is the place to be. It is a hipster coffee shop that hasn't been discovered by the mass of tourists. I would highly recommend this place.

the friendly atmosphere is unbeatable, the coffee needs improvement. sometimes it tastes burnt, like he poured extremely hot water on it and the shop sometimes smells burnt because of the machine he has there. if the coffee improves, I won’t go anywhere else.

Cute local coffee shop that roasts its beans fresh in the store. Coffee is excellent. The fresh roasted beans have tons of flavor. The team is super nice and service is excellent. Best coffee we had in Edinburgh over 4 days. Came back multiple times to enjoy the experience. The shop is very small, so if you have a big group, you may want to get takeaway. Will be returning here if/when I return to Edinburgh.

When I stumbled into Cobbled Roastery, it felt like discovering a secret. The smiles here are as warm as the coffee, and every sip felt like a hug in a cup. The place has a certain charm that's hard to find elsewhere in Edinburgh. It's not just the coffee that's mega good; it's the whole vibe. You can tell they pour their heart into every cup. I left feeling like I was part of the family. Totally my go-to spot now!

The best coffee I had in Edinburgh. Tried another place before this and couldn't drink it. This was a glorious return to goodness. Loved the roaster right there and all the bags of beans. COFFEE. GOOD.

Quaint nice coffee shop with an great atmosphere. Guy behind the counter was really nice, and whipped up a good cup of coffee for us. Didn't try any of the pastries, but bought a pack of beef jerky that looked tasty!

Everywhere I travel I make a point of finding a great coffee place. My mornings simply won't start without good coffee. We happened to find Cobbled Roastery by chance and visited every day of our vacation. Expertly roasted batches of various coffees give a selection that should have something special and tasty to discover for everyone. Sundays pour over Geisha was a cup of coffee I will never forget. Accompanied with good pastry this is a must visit for every coffee lover visiting or living in Edinburgh.

Great visit here. Pleasant chat with the baristas, even took a quick pull of the trier on their roaster. Cute place, great coffee and service - from one coffee roaster to another.

We were very lucky to have a holiday appt opposite the cobbled roastery during our stay in Edinburgh. We became daily regulars, the coffee is fantastic! Some of the best I’ve ever tasted. So smooth from the regular roast and grind that is taking place through the day. This is worth a visit for the few seconds it takes to get there from George & Princess streets. Pastries are great too!

Freshly roasted coffee beans on site! We discovered the cobbled roastery when we first moved to Edinburgh so we could have a place to buy good beans and coffee. The cobbled roastery does it even better, and they roast UNIQUE and delicious beans at the cafe. The beans are sourced from all over the world and we always have fun tasting new ones. Vlad's beans and coffee are so superb, and we've become a fan + regulars instantly. He's also a fantastic person to be friends with, which was such a friendly greeting when we first moved to Edinburgh. I highly recommend it.
