Friendly, active scuba diving club. I've been a member of this great club for 30 years. There's lots of diving both around the UK and abroad, along with a fun social calendar. It's members have a wealth of knowledge, experience and tales to tell. They welcome new members and have a comprehensive training programme for all levels of diver including PADI crossovers. The club facilities are impressive with their own clubhouse, licensed bar, training rooms, two boats, scuba equipment for training and access to pools (including a 6m pool). Come along, make new friends and join the fun.

I've been a member of this club for over 5 years after joining from another club. It's a super club - own club house, own rib, lots of members - all very friendly. I fitted in straightaway. Quite a bit of diving and there's social side too. I've made some good friends there too. Its a big part of my life :-)

I joined this club about two years ago. A friendlier group of people you couldn't find. Two RHIB's, swimming pool next door, big clubhouse with bar, great training programme and loads of diving going on throughout the year UK and abroad. Over a hundred members making it one of the biggest dive clubs for miles around. Great social side to the club as well.

When I walked into this humble clubhouse, the scuba-history displayed on its walls transport me back in time over 60 years of club life. Once I was able to stop looking at the walls, I was given the best welcome ever. They have members who have been with the club for decades. I was blown away by their incredible sincerity, professionalism and passion for their love of Scuba Diving. Their club house is second to none, built by the members themselves. They have their own well maintained bar, 2 ribs used often and they encourage members to use them too - which is very refreshing. BSAC49 have a huge variety of diving trips for all qualifications & configuration throughout the year, they have courses for teaching trainees of all levels. They have the most amazing community spirit whether it’s supporting marine causes, BSAC clubs, working together to maintain the clubhouse or working on their lovely boats. Their laughter is infectious and welcoming. I knew this was a club I wanted to belong too even before they said hi to me…..

My brother and I have been members of this great club for a combined total of 72 years. A friendly and active diving club with all the facilities necessary to explore the awesome underwater world. Our motto is 'Adventure before Dementia', so don't delay, come and join us.

Fantastic club. Been a member for a few years now. Crossed over from a less active club. The boat is out most weekends diving. Always something happening. Awesome facilities.
