My wife and I recently spent a week at the Mallard cottage celebrating my 60th birthday... The triple french doors opening to the patio adds to an open yet formal elegance. Coffee on the patio in our pajamas made us feel at home! The high end appliances are all in good repair leaving nothing to want! Each day we were blessed seeing European brown hares, pheasants, deer and in very early morning, rabbits! The views of William Wallace monument and Sterling castle are brilliant! Lit up at night Sonja and I were spellbound. Sonja and I agree however that our most fun and enjoyable memory occurred when Wendys husband Ian and their daughter gave us a tour of the barn and a look at their beautiful cattle. We were also able to take their beautiful brindle boxer, Pippa, for a walk and play ball in the pasture outside Mallard cottage. Wendy has done a brilliant job of blending a holiday destination with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

Stayed in Partridge Cottage at the beginning of December and would 100% recommend to family and friends who want a relaxing break but still with plenty to do in the area and amazing views from every window. Wendy was brilliant and so helpful nothing was too much trouble. So many thoughtful added extras. Would definitely recommend using the hot tub as was perfect for relaxing in to watch the sun set and rise. We definitely hope to return in the future! Thank you so much Wendy!

Fantastic stay in a superb cottage - one of the best we have stayed in (and we have stayed in many over the years!) Peaceful yet easily accessible location, perfect central base for trips to Loch Lomond, the Cairngorms and St Andrews. Cottage furnished to a high spec, yet still homely. Will definitely be returning next time we head up to Scotland.

Totally beautiful holiday cottage that has all you could need and want for a comfortable stay. Having stayed before we always look forward to coming to stay. The cottage itself is exceptional, with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Underfloor heating is lovely, as is the wood burning stove. The shower is also lovely and powerful. The hot tub outside is great to relax in after a busy day out. The kitchen has brilliant appliances and is spotlessly clean. Having a washing machine, dishwasher etc makes daily chores easy. We love staying at Partridge Cottage.

A fabulous cottage with amazing views of Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and the farm limousin cattle. Very warm, cosy and clean with outstanding attention to detail and well equipped with everything we needed. The complimentary extras were a lovely surprise and enjoyed by all. Our children loved the garden to run around in and saying ‘good morning’ and ‘goodnight’ to the moo cows across the drive. A good selection of books, DVDs, information leaflets and children’s toys/games were supplied as well as toiletries. Nothing was too much for Wendy and she was really helpful when I was asking lots of questions before our stay, especially because of the Covid-19 situation. I travelled with my partner and 2 children aged 2yrs and 5yrs and it was a perfect base with easy access to places of interest such as Blair Drummond Zoo, the Falkirk Wheel, Edinburgh Castle, the bridges at South Queensferry and Linlithgow Castle to mention just a few of the places we visited. Morrisons and Greene King pub at the end of the road too, across the roundabout. Even though Covid-19 restrictions were still in place we felt really comfortable and sanitisers, spray, wipes and masks were provided as well as plastic sleeves for the remote controls and a box to isolate any books, games or DVDs we’d touched/used. Thank you also Wendy and Ian for our guided tour of your working farm and allowing the children to sit in some of the machinery - they loved it.

Staying here as a Key Worker during lockdown. Beautiful location. Fantastic views. Cottage is first class. Stylish and modern with absolutely everything you need. Owner is an absolute gem! Couldn't possibly ask for more in a holiday cottage. I will be back for a holiday with my family when everything is back to normal.

Stayed at Mallard last sept. (Sorry thought had reviewed) one word as we both walked through the door was "WOW" and our jaws dropped. A stunning well equipped bolthole. Absolutely EVERYTHING had been thought of. So cosy, peaceful, yet close for provisions/free park/ride into Stirling. Central for any direction. Close to Kelpies & wheel. The owner is soooo lovely nothing is too much trouble (IF needed) left beautiful little treats (won't tell as lovely surprise) just an AMAZING place. Will definitely visit again. Thank you soooo much.
