Loved that pub! We didnt know what to order but the staff was more than happy to give advice and give us tasters. The selection of drinks was extensive and the food was great too. This the best Mac N Cheese + chips I ever had!

Bustling atmosphere and a delicious brunch with streaky bacon, their own sausages, potato scone, haggis, black pudding, mushroom, beans and tomato. Arrived on a sizzling hot skillet with everything being accurately cooked. My partner had mushrooms on toast which was also delicious. Good selection of craft beers and spirits, too

A wee bar in the Leith serving good food and delicious desserts. I go there often because it's very cozy and the staff is friendly. This is the perfect place for sitting by the bar and chatting with bar staff or sitting with you friends on the table in the back side. This time they had cask ale on both of their taps.

The Roseleaf consistently delivers delicious food and drink. The courgette and corn fritters were crispy on the outside and just a little goey inside, and the eggs poached perfectly. An affogato was the perfect way to finish off the meal.

My absolute fave local pub and I always bring friends here! It’s so quirky and the cocktails and food are always fab - special mention to the Rhubarb and Custard pot-tails and the Mac n Cheese, my go-to things on the menu. The service is always so friendly and welcoming - the last time I was there I mentioned how much I liked their shot glasses and the person serving me then gave me one to keep 🤗 just lovely.

We chanced our luck and went here for lunch without reservation. It was busy so we had to wait for a table. The gent told us that it would be 10/15 mins or maybe slightly longer for a table to be available. It ended being closer to the 25 min mark. The pub itself was quite quirky with lots of things going on. I got a mad hatter vibe. The toilets were covered in comic strips which I thought was quite cool. Whilst waiting on a table we sat at the bar. The woman on the bar could’ve been a bit more welcoming, she was task oriented and I understand she was maybe busy but it isn’t difficult to crack a smile. All the other staff were friendly and helpful. We were seated for our meal around the back. Menus were inserted into a old magazine which was funny. They had boardgames which was a nice tough. I got gubbed at dobble whilst waiting for our food. Speaking of food, I was stuck between the mac and cheese and peking pork rosey open flatbread. The server was very helpful and said he could do a smaller portion of the mac and have it as a side. I was immediately sold. My wife went for the meaty mcleith burger. Firstly the peking pork was really nice. I expected a bigger portion but it was nice with beautiful flavours. The mac and cheese was one of the favourites but it wasn’t mine. For me it was a bit too watery at the bottom and I didn’t actually enjoy the flavour that much. My wife enjoyed her burger and she couldn’t really fault it apart from the price as it was quite pricey. I got a coconut cream pudding for dessert and it was pretty good. Overall, good food for pub standards. Love the vibe of this place.

Our server, Hannah, was incredible. Very friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. My entire group loved the Mac and cheese. We added bacon to one and chorizo to the other. Both were amazing! All of us were very happy with our meals. I got the Cullen Skink and it was incredible. Smoky and creamy and delicious. The raspberry lemonade is a great drink choice too! We will definitely be returning!

A really nice spot. Drop by for breakfast occasionally and always great. On the slightly more expensive side but 100% worth it given the quality. Coffee is really excellent

Some interesting cocktails on their menu, I had a Banana Espresso Martini. Their coffee is good too! Was a nice place for me to cozy up and read my book. I liked the bathroom decor (see pictures).

The staff is sooo wonderful! Very attentive, cozy atmosphere, eclectic space. Touches of old and new, wonderful barkeep and most importantly the food it’s so good! Great quality, nice portions and prompt service. It is wheelchair accessible into the restaurant but I’m not sure if the toilets would work since they are in a very narrow space.

Everything was great. From helping us with parking, to meal quality, was first class. For a lunch we had a combination of burgers, French toast, Mac and cheese and fries with a combination of drinks. Rose lemonade was delightful and coffee delicious. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and satisfied. Parking could be an issue, but we’ll worth the effort to find a spot.

Absolutely no hesitation in giving Roseleaf 5 stars. An absolute gem of a place in Leith. A delightfully charming cafe with fantastic decor and a great atmosphere. The staff make you feeling very welcome and are super helpful and friendly. They have an very impressive cold and hot drinks menu. Their juices are made fresh and are absolutely delicious. The have an array of teas and a great food menu, with a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. I’ve no doubt with there being a bar here, this will also be a great place in the evening, but so far I’ve just been in a couple of time for breakfast. I plan to return plenty of times in the future.

Having walked past the Roseleaf quite a few times, I had wrongly dismissed this as an 'old man pub' (which there is nothing wrong with, just not my scene!). I was absolutely wrong though, this charming bar and cafe has just enough quirk without being twee. I spotted the separate vegan menu straight away and was delighted with the offering. We went for the teapot for two rhubarb and custard cocktail which was delicious. The stand out however was the staff, impeccably warm and friendly, they really gave the place its character. Would recommend this as not one to miss!

AMAZING, The freshness and quality of these meals was great. Lovely friendly staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. Food was amazing, and it was lovely to see the locals bring in their fur babies inside for a special treat

Wow…this place is one of the best cafe/ restaurants I’ve been to in a long time! Me and my partner were visiting from West Yorkshire and really took me by surprise. Definitely value for money. Everything was just perfect, the food, the atmosphere and most of all the service. This was the first place we ate at while been in Scotland even without a reservation and honestly what a great experience! Will definitely be returning before we go back home. Thank you❤️

I’m so so picky about Sunday lunch after growing up in Yorkshire where it’s basically religion. Roseleaf was easily the best Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant, every bit of it was delicious and well cooked. Those Yorkshire puddings, cooked in dripping, are a thing of beauty. The roast roots and the tender, falling apart pork belly were standout. I wanted a jug of gravy when the whole thing was presented to me but it turned out the intense jus at the bottom of the plate was more than enough. I found room to demolish half of an extremely decadent sticky toffee pudding with banoffee ice-cream (which really worked!). Next time I’m coming back to try the brunch

Short tram ride to Leith, where we discovered a lovely place called @roseleafbarcafe Ginger shots to start, followed by a housemade rose lemonade with cucumber, tea with lo Ely spoons, sauteed mushrooms, blended fishcake burger for the kiddo and I enjoyed a huge bowl of cullen skink. Delicious.

Food was some of the best we’ve had on our whole trip. Super fresh and flavorful. The sticky toffee dessert was phenomenal. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Fair drink selection. Great neighborhood pub feel.

The service was good and the recommendation by the staff was spot on. The hummus was delicious and was easily shared between two or more people. The real hot chocolate was great. If you love clam chowder or that style of soup their fish version is fantastic. The atmosphere is family friendly and relaxed.

Dinner without reservation, cosy and warm small cafe. Had soup of the day & fishcakes, sea bass main, sticky toffee dessert and a couple glasses of wine. Excellent, friendly service. Bar and side room seating, accessible restrooms.

The Big Yin breakfast was just what we needed to start the day. The black pudding had bags of flavour. The haggis was a softer texture that I initially expected but it was tasty. Plenty of bacon if you're a fan, although a little more cooked than my personal preference. I also wanted to try a cup 'o' skink, despite having ordered a big breakfast: it was absolutely delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. Great friendly service too.

Second time I’m heading in. You can count on a good meal here, quality of food is generally good. A bit on the pricey side, mind. Recommend the Sunday roast, which was well cooked but could do with a better portion of meat.

I went here with my wife for our first wedding anniversary meal and it was so delicious! The bbq pork was immense and the sticky toffee pudding was probably the best I’ve ever eaten! We really loved trying all the cool cocktails and the staff even posted back an earring that my wife lost there - super friendly staff!!

👍👍 It's busy, it's tasty and always a nice experience! There is a nice range of flavours infused with spices. We went for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The naan breads with sausages, bacon and eggs were delicious. The only comment I would have is it's so busy and noisy insid...
