On the whole I was completely disappointed with my visit. The waiter was quite rude, not seeming to care at all about our order and rolling his eyes when we asked questions. I ordered burratina which looks lovely, if you see the pictures, sadly it was handed to me fridge cold so my burratina was not runny, gooey or squishy in the slightest, which is not the correct way to serve such an expensive dish. The coldness continued as our mains arrived a smidge more than lukewarm. Albeit looking delicious and very tasty, but if you are going to call something seafood pasta, i would expect more than two prawns, 4 mussels and 4 clams. Furthermore, if you are going to serve shell-on seafood please supply a finger bowl. We had to ask for the drinks menu to be returned to us, after ordering the special jubilee cocktail, which was actually lovely. I can only assume the waiter thought we weren't going to be worth his time so gave us a lack-lustre experience (and by that I mean lacking any common politeness). I ordered a carafe of white wine and received no cooler/ice despite asking for one. The cocktails, however, were good. If I ever dared return, it would be for cocktails as they were actually decent. The place should stick to their great cocktails and offer some light snacks and 'bar food' and I'm sure they would be much better off.

Very nice restaurant right in the heart of Soho, the menu offers a great variety but I have to say I really liked the brunch inspired options :) Surely the strength of this place is the amazing customer service and the friendliness of the staff that makes you appreciate the time you spend there :)

Nice little place in the heart of Soho, food was decent and reasonably priced. Service a little rushed as quite busy, but very friendly team and would visit again. So true to my words I visited again with friends 17/11/23 and had a lovely night. Oysters with fresh, small but very enjoyable. Kedgeree Scotch Egg, nicely cooked with a jammy yolk, sausage dad mildly flavoured and the accompanying curry sauce pleasant if a little overpowering to the Scotch Egg itself. My friends found similar of the Steak Tartare where the main event being the raw steak was actually a side note to the other flavours such as coriander for example. Both dishes were nicely cooked, flavoursome and well presented but the balance so lightly off in what shone through. A reasonably priced steak and frites didn't disappoint, steak requested blue but warmed through and would suggest actually delivered as a medium rare, however it was very well seasoned, tender and enjoyable. Overall would recommend, fairly priced, pleasant staff and nice location with good food that with some small tweaks could really impress at the price point.

Having had a great French meal at Petit Coco in Cheltenham on Monday night (check out my review) my expectation of having a good meal at Old Compton Brasserie was somewhat tempered by my previous night's dining experience. Yet I was pleasantly surprised. Having never eaten at the Old Compton Brasserie I was expecting a fairly average dining experience but I was totally wrong. From the friendly greeting when we arrived until we left two hours later I found the service, the staff and food to be of the highest standard. We had a lovely evening and meal at Old Compton Brasserie. Our waitress and the serving staff were attentive and helpful and made our dining experience an enjoyable one. The food was prepared beautifully and all of our meals arrived together, and were cooked just right. The lamb was lovely, the salmon equally nice and the beer battered cod & chips were huge, and cooked just right as well. A lovely evening with great service & food. The staff were so friendly and happy 😊 and I'm happy to give the restaurant 5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟.

Went here for few drinks and starters. Tried the cosmo and the margaritas- both were amazing! As starters, we ordered prawn tempura and nuggets. Both were good but we loved the nuggets- it was exceptional with the dip! Lovely ambience and decor, very friendly staff and great service! :)

London dining done right! The staff were FANTASTIC. No hassle, checked with the kitchen to see if there were any amendments to other dishes that could help them cater for my allergies (Gluten and milk). Friendly throughout. Really good atmosphere, and comfortable booths, it was surprisingly busy for a Monday and soon after the food arrived I saw why! I think I counted at least 5 birthdays and it makes sense - it's the sort of place you'd LOVE to go for a birthday as a treat. We were there for a hen do.Everyone else's food looked amazing too. Cocktails were also TOTALLY worth it. I would, 100%, come back again.

The most incredible pork belly roast dinner…. I was in HEAVEN. This was so utterly delicious. Clean plates all round and a sure thing to return as it was so so good! If you are after a really good Sunday roast this has to be on your list to try! We visited at around 14:30 and had no problem getting a table even though we hadn’t made a reservation. We even went off menu to order a jug of pinks, and that staff delivered it and it was just scrummy. Amazing staff, delightful and tasteful interior with outstanding food what can I say… other than get yourself along to visit and try for yourselves.

We had Tomahawk Steak with some sided. Steak was done like we asked and was tender. The special Margaritas were very bland so we sent them back. Instead, I got watermelon margarita, which was perfect. Staff is very friendly, professional, and kind. We will be back.

Finally made it to this spot I've been eyeing for ages. The vibe was awesome, and I was not disappointed at all. The food? So good. Every bite was a flavor explosion. Shoutout to the staff too—they were cool and added to the whole laid-back feel. Quick tip: book a table beforehand. It's kinda popular, and I can see why. But, honestly, I'd happily go back for more of that good food and chill atmosphere.

Amazing food and service today. We ordered off the festive menu and the food was great. Perfect for a festive feel at Christmas time. Lucas was so lovely and fun! Made us feel very comfortable - will be definitely be returning

Brilliant food & buzzing atmosphere! This is a spot that’s impossible to walk-in so it’s best to book a table in advance. The beetroot salmon, scotch egg & charred veggies were UNREAL. So flavourful! Since we went on a Monday lunchtime we also got to enjoy their Aperol Spritz promo at £6 per glass. Our server Lucas was such a joy & provided exceptional service too! Definitely check them out :)

Food was delicious. As a starter I would highly recommend the chicken liver parfait, it's incredible. Mains were equally delicious, just as dessert. Service is great, felt very welcome. Ambiance is also really great, especially with all the christmas deorations going on.

Exactly what a central London restaurant should be; busy, lively, with a fun menu that has its own take on many classic British dishes. Great drinks menu as well as a solid selection of alcohol-free cocktails. A gluten-free dietary requirement was catered for with minimum fuss.

Excellent place to eat, we booked for 17:30 before the theatre, lively atmosphere with good range of food and drink. On our experience booking is essential, although it was a nice bank holiday Monday, as it was very busy. Very friendly reception and servers in a noisy modern settings in the middle of the west end.

We had a large dinner with around 20 people that was rescheduled and the management were excellent in being flexible with our dates. Everything was well organised and the food was great. My only gripes were that there were no serrated knives for steak and that the food was a little slow to come out. Place was packed so it was sometimes difficult to catch a waiters attention but overall so lovely!

Food and drink lovely. Service not. Our bill came and it had £33 service charge on. Because we split the bill between 6, we paid £30 service charge. The waiter then told us that this was “unfair to his colleagues” and that we should pay the extra £3 or they wouldn’t get any of it. We’d just paid THIRTY POUNDS SERVICE for 1.5 hours of a fairly confused and dazed waiter. How completely ungrateful to instantly say that the payment was unfair. To avoid awkwardness, my friend generously then gave him a £20 note. So we paid £50 for the joy of being hassled. Either a very rude man, or management who steal the tips from staff. Either isn’t ideal.

We had a fabulous meal here today. The staff were great and moved us into a booth which was decorated for Christmas-fabulous! The roast dinners were great, but perhaps not enough veg. The roast platter was really good, not quite enough gravy but they brought more. Overall it was really good and would highly recommend this place!

We had our Christmas lunch here a couple of weeks and I cannot recommend it enough. The food was absolutely the best roast I’ve had outside of home. My only problem was that the food came so fast we barely had time to let each course settle, but it was so good!

The food was lovely, as was the cocktails ( lovely - but served in small glasses) , which meant you did not get much in a glass. You could tell the staff had spent many hours / days on the Xmas decor, which was exquisite. It's clearly a popular brasserie, and tables were in demand. Downside! we were told our table was reserved for a next seating, so we had to vacate our table before we were ready to leave. Would recommend you reserve a table in advance if you plan to visit. Went there for an early evening meal with a friend before we headed for an evening concert. Seating allowed for privacy, though some tables are quite close to each other.

Honestly, I think this is the best restaurant in town. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere wonderful, but the staff truly make it. Gorgeous beautiful people who treat you as if they genuinely love you . The warmth and friendliness is never overwhelming and always just right. This place is the absolute tops.

Nice Sunday lunch find. Old Compton Street is always busy and this bar was no exception, but we were well looked after and the space was very well air conditioned. The lunch deal for £20 is great value. Have been back in the week top and still enjoying some great service and delicious food. The waiters are really attentive and the roast doesn't fail to impress.

Came here on a Sunday evening and the staff were really nice, the food was lovely and it's such a gorgeous vibe inside. Dim lighting with a relaxing and chill environment. Prices were good for the food and I would definitely come here again, great place for a date, or drinks with friends

Stopped here as was passing by and looking for somewhere to brunch. It was really busy when we arrived and was unsure if we would get a table but we were promptly seated and food was swifly ordered and served. Staff were lovely and food was fantastic, setting us up perfectly for the day. Would definitely come back again when in the area.

Busy and bustling place. Lovely interiors, quick service and nice food. Went on a Friday night for my friends birthday, so was quite loud (might be difficult to have a convo if you’re in bigger groups). Would recommend!

Definitely the best vibe on Old Compton Street! The team, food and atmosphere never disappoints whenever I come here - whether it’s brunch, dinner or late night cocktails. Lucas is the best! Food and drinks are always reliably great - especially the spritz afternoon special - and I love that the decor changes with the seasons.

I went here with a party of 6 people for my birthday dinner, and i can thoroughly say i was not impressed. Our server, a young lady was giving attitude and genuinely seemed like she did not want to be there, the music in the venue was way too loud to the point where i could barely hear the waitress nor the person sat opposite me at the table. After being seated at 8.30 our starters and drinks came relatively quickly however we then waited around an hour for our food to be served, at this point we had complained and its only after that did food magically start coming out of the kitchen. We also noticed that other groups had been seated after us and got their food way before we did.... The food in itself was very mediocre, the seafood linguini was very oily and under seasoned and the cod and chips was bland and seemed over fried. The drinks were average nothing extraordinary. When we received the bill we decided not to pay the service charge which is optional. We spoke to management who admitted that there was a mess up in the kitchen so our orders were not input properly. I guess nobody including our moody waitress bothered to check in until after we had complained. I am also surprised that nobody bothered to communicate this information to us? its only after we spoke to management that they admitted their mistake. After we had spoken to management about poor service, they offered to reduce our bill by £50 which we thought was a good resolution however after leaving we noticed that we didn't actually get £50 off the bill, we only got £25 off as they had taken £50 off from the total bill which included a service charge fee of £25, this was very misleading off the staff to say, as they should have removed both the service charge of £25 and then given us the £50 off on top of that. Avoid this place, there are way nicer Brasseries in Central London.

I really enjoyed this place! They had a live entertainer who was great! She was singing and entertaining the entire restaurant. After she stopped the DJ was spinning classic songs from Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars. Besides that the service and the food were really good as well. I had fish and chips of course. The atmosphere is one where you’re encouraged to sing along with the great music they have booming through the speakers. Come here and enjoy yourself!

Good food and reasonably priced drinks as well. Staff were super attentive and helped find us a bar table when the table had run out. Will definitely go back!

Having seen this place on TikTok and famous for their roast platters, we were definitely not disappointed!!! The waitress we had, who’s name I didn’t get, was so so lovely and helpful throughout the whole service. We opted for the sharing roast platter and they were so honest with the portion size suggesting for the 4 of us to share 1 (which was more than enough!) And the dessert, was absolutely 10/10. Can’t wait to come back!!!! Highly recommend for restaurant that is good vibes and great food!

We just had the most wonderful experience with Lucas, so welcoming and friendly, made us feel really special. Allowed us to move our tables together even though it’s not usually allowed. He even let us try some mulled wine as we couldn’t decide whether 1pm on a Sunday was too early :) the food was fantastic so hats off to the chef. We will definitely be back when we are next in London.
