Amazing German place with Paulaner. You come here for beers and good company and to sing snd remember the good old times. For her heart is full of sweetness, a tender scent escapes her blossom-gown. On the heath, there blooms a little flower and it's called : Erika.

One of the highlights was definitely the abundance of food. We opted for the Bavarian sausage platter and a mixed platter, which included an enormous pork knuckle and schnitzel which I particularly enjoyed. The portions were absolutely enormous. We were a group of five, but ordering the two platters (each platter is designed for two people) was more than enough to satisfy our appetites. We left absolutely stuffed with (sadly) lots left over. We enjoyed sitting outside in their courtyard, which has a great relaxed vibe. The platters came with plenty of salty chips and bowls of salad accompanying the platters. There was a surprisingly small amount of sauerkraut, and whilst the platters came with jugs of gravy and curry sauce, it would have been even better to have had condiments with the food (mayo, ketchup etc). The staff were a bit slow at times, often leaving us with empty drinks. We requested additional drinks, which didn't arrive, requiring us to flag down another staff member and reorder. one member in our group had an egg allergy, and it turns out wasn't able to have any of the sausage or the schnitzel, and they had run out of a lot of the main meal options including the goulash. She ended up with a vegan schnitzel which she wasn't very impressed with. Overall it was a memorable dining experience heaps of Bavarian food, and a great range of beers.

Spent a bit of time outside, enjoying the outdoor seating. Some seating with umbrellas too. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. Grab a stein or cocktail. Sunday is all day happy hour. If you’ve been to the Munich beerfest, this place will bring back memories. Pork knuckles are huge.

We ate here two times - both times were amazing. The food is very authentic and tasty. The currywurst and the meatloaf were very very good! The atmosphere is nearly like a beer garden - and sets the right mood. The staff is very friendly and quick. The beer is pricey but, of course, good. This place is my favorite among all at the docklands and is a must see if you stay in the area. Can only recommend.

The food was amazing. I ordered the Business menu which included a schnitzel a strudel and 1 snaps. The service was brilliant! I like the place because there are many varieties of beer! I would definitely go again and I highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you

With some mixed feelings I rate this place with four stars. If I could separate my rating, I would give 4 stars for the atmosphere, design of the restaurant and the affordable price for a pretty big meal. The beer is quite pricey though, so the heavy drinkers among us will pay the bill. The quality of the food is not the best. Although the portion is quite big, the salad is pretty sad and no sauces like ketchup is offered. I had the pork schnitzel and the taste is alright. The staff is dressed in Bavarian clothing and one of the waitresses is very friendly and happy.

If you can't decide which beer then get the MCC beer board you get to try 6 taster for £12! 🍻🍺 Such a nice Bavarian restaurant in Canary Wharf!! The pork knuckle was so nice! Managed to catch the sunset and wasn't cold so was so perfect at the bier garden. Need to plan a trip to Germany for a proper feast but this will do for now 🤤❤️

Exzellent food, drinks, place and service for human and dogs: The "Spätzle mit Käsesauce und Pilzen" are excellent! "Kartoffelpuffer mit Käse und Zwiebel, Spiegelei" as well. - Thanks to the kitchen. The place in the garden invites to stay long and to enjoy this great place in Canary Wharf! My dog was also relaxed under the table. After being warmly welcomed by LEON, the waiter. Who immediately brought him water! Overall a great experience I am already looking forward to the next visit! Highly recommended. I was served immediately! The fact that there are many guests clearly speaks for a wonderful atmosphere with excellent food and beer! Very friendly and accommodating! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Really nice German restaurant with German beer and food. Bathrooms available and beer garden plus indoor seating. Waiter are wearing Dirndl and lederhosen. Unfortunately Currywurst was not really a curry wurst, it was a white sausage and the sauce was more comparable with a "uk curry sauce" than a German. Obatzda was fine but also not 100% as in germany. I think its normal as some products are not available in the UK to purchase. All in all really good and prices are fair.

I was wandering around Canary Wharf and came across this Bierhgarden. I found it amusing that it was call the MCC. Munich Cricket Club. There no queue to get in but outside was busy. I went for a pint of Haus bier. The stein looked inviting but too big for a quick drink. I didn't eat there either even though the bratwurst looked good.

It truly feels like Munich in here. I finally got the beer and the pork nuckle I was craving for, the waitress service is amazing and in general the experience is worth coming to Canary Wharf. I would recommend trying the raddler and the slow roasted pork knuckle. The pretzel were delicious and our kids were quite happy with the German hot dog.

Good quality German beers, but the food we had was awful. I've been to Munich, and the food was far from the bland stuff we had here. Even the sauerkraut was tasteless. Also, while you could order everything on the menu from the table, you had to go to the bar for hotdogs because... gimmick?

I just wanted to share my experience at this bar with you. The service was really nice and the atmosphere was great, not to mention the very friendly people. The best part was that everything was so clean and tidy! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I should have discovered this place a long time ago. The vibe is wonderful and both the indoor and outdoors areas are great. Food is great, though through busy evenings it can take a while to arrive. Nevertheless, the schnitzel and classic Bavarian menus are excellent to transport you to Germany for a few hours. The music and the themed-dressed staff contribute as well to the real Oktoberfest feeling going around. Couldn’t recommend this enough, especially for larger groups!

A fantastic venue with a really cool atmosphere. It's Happy Hour from 4pm which included 2-4-1 (of course I bought my first drink ten minutes before it started without realising!). We noticed that all the outdoor seats were reserved and had to sit inside which was fine, with decent tunes playing. I mention it as it might be worth making a reservation on a nice day.

We keep going back for more.. The downstairs area is great, the food is good with big portions. The cocktails are really good and reasonably priced. If you go there on happy hour (seems like it is always happy hour) you get 2 for 1 cocktails and cheap steins. I have heard beer is good but I don't drink beer so what do I know... Beer is beer...

Wonderful place for an afterwork visit, the food was AMAZING (especially the potato salad), the drinks were also amazing and the service was superb. Highly recommend.

Ordered the Sunday roast of pork knuckle and was sadly underwhelmed. The roasted pork knuckle itself only had one note flavour; very salty and the skin wasn't particularly crispy. The portion was big, and the sides that came with it were sad, the carrots were very waterlogged and mushy didn't taste glazed and the potatoes were just fine. It definitely felt like something green was missing from the plate and would have helped with the overwhelming saltiness and meatiness from the pork. The gravy was also not very flavourful and very watery. The German cheesecake was pleasant and had a nice tanginess associated with German cheesecake. The staff and service was great, everyone was lovely and attentive and I would visit again because of this service. For lunch, dessert and service charge we ended up paying about £23 per person.

Price: - very cheap for the massive portions you get Quality: - superb. I am German myself and it's equally good here as at home - the pork knuckle is a recommendation / must try - the chicken is available on Sundays only but very tender which is where most restaurants fail - sausages are great and a platter is easily enough for 4 average people Location: - eating and drinking outside is very enjoyable from a view perspective and also atmosphere wise Conclusion: - one of the best restaurants in London for me and even better when you are really hungry as the portions are big. On top it's probably the best value for money you can get these days.

My first experience here was great. We received a very warm welcome by staff dressed in tradional German attire. Leon, the waiter was always busy serving but always had a smile on his face whilst being pleasant to customers. The food was plentiful and very tasty, we also didn't have to wait long either. My gosh, the 'stein' of beer was enormous, roughly a litre of beer in massive glasses. The atmoshere was bustling, lively, background laughter amongst the tables, with a nice bit of music in the background. A bit expensive ie: Sunday Roast £18, a glass of wine £12 for 250ml but I'll definately be going back for more. A good place to bring a group of friends for a night out at Canary Wharf.

Such an amazing place to hang out with friends and the food was amazing... we ordered a Schnitzel for 2 .. and I promise you... that could serve for 4 easily. Fair prices... I really recommend that place. And the staff was very friendly. Simply love it... sure I'll be back.

We had a fab time in here. Came in at happy hour. Whoops. Jack was amazing. But to be honest with you all staff were lovely.

The only thing that could possibly make me go back was the server, she was great. The food wasn't horrible, the prices were as expected. The manager however.. yikes. I cannot in good conscience be a repeat patron of any establishment that doesn't respect and take good care of their employees. Surely you can do better.

Well worth a visit, particularly to enjoy authentic Barvian food and drink All staff were polite, efficient, and friendly. There is a varied menu and a vegan option, I believe. The venue is clean and spacious. The Oompah band added to the atmosphere, particularly if you love the trombone, which is so closely associated with Munich. I hope that the short videos can give you a taste of what to expect. Lots of clapping and cheering, too.

Very busy - came on the last day of the Winter Lights in Canary Wharf, so expected. Do not think the staff were prepared for how busy the night would be! Got seated on a table that was initially reserved for a group arriving later, ordered food (a bit of a wait until it arrived), and drinks. Ordered the Munich Cricket Club Chicken Schnitzel- very tasty and generously portioned! Had the Club Haus Beer Stein to wash it down - great beer!

We have been going to this place for over two years now and a few days ago we got beers and both rounds were the same price. After paying for the second round, sitting down and already starting to enjoy the drink we got asked to pay £6 more as the waiter charged us the happy hour deal prices. We felt quite uncomfortable as it wasn’t our mistake that we got undercharged and as much as we were okay paying the actual price, we felt that the approach was quite discomforting. This experience has made us reluctant about returning. However, I must add that the giant pretzel meatball you used to do there was amazing and would be great if it returned. The atmosphere there is usually great too!

I did not realised how nice is downstairs, very clinical athmosfere on the ground floor but downstairs very cosy and really nice. We had tasting of beer which was quite nice and meat dish and currywhurst, would not come back for food, in winter wonderland you get better German sausages. The meal was really let down.

We visited Munich Cricket Club, a German restaurant in Canary Wharf. The restaurant has set up its interior to have the feel of a beer hall with sharing benches and high ceilings. The food was excellent and the portion sizes are massive and so the food is real value for money. The MCC beer board was also quite interesting with a nice assortment of draught beers. Overall, the Munich Cricket Club is a great option if you would like to sample some authentic German food at very reasonable prices

Good beer, it’s nice to order the beer board so you can taste all six and then you can decide which one you can go and order a pint. The food was amazing, plenty for three people. I would definitely go again!

First time I eat in a german cooking restaurant, and I can tell you I was not disappointed! You can look at the pictures, the starter and the main had good quantity and of course quality! Loved the bavarian noodles, there was quite a lot of meat in there as well. And the potatoes done that way with the egg on top, stunning. The staff is friendly and efficient, and they wear traditional german clothes! The atmosphere is cozy and they serve different kinds of german beer, even in the quite huge glasses of which I can't remember the name

The Wurschtl Platte (sausage platter) was really good, 3 different sausages, fries and a small serving sides. Hahnchenschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat (chicken schnitzel) was perfectly done. Kartoffelpuffer mit kase aund zwieblen, spiegelei (potato rosti) was a bit of a let done because it was a bit burnt. All in all the food was good, the wait staff were helpful, reasonably prices. Would go back for sure.

We had proper german food and beer in a great space, nice music and great customer service. Special thanks to the kind irish waitress who served us and was very attentive and professional... Highly recommend!

A nice place to chill! The open seating area is pure exhileration, just that it closes a bit too soon at 10 PM, but you can always carry on, on the inside! Authentic German menu with a good combination of beers and delicacies!

2022Feb. This is very ordinary german beer restaurant. As for me, one visit is enough. There are 6 series of beers, as you can imagine some are fit for me and others are not. But it seems a good opportunity to try new.

  • 4/5 Derek W. 2 years ago on Google
Quite a cool place serving delicious food and steins! Spacious inside and outside seating options. Only quip is slight lack of atmosphere (maybe as it was a Tuesday?) and slowish service time for food.

  • 2/5 LM G. 1 year ago on Google
As local we always come here when we want German food. Food here are excellent. However, every time salad let us down. It like salad was never washed probably and you chew with 'sand/dirty' in there and hardly ignore when your teeth tell you something you should not chew. Today it gets worse with rotten green served.

This is a really nice Place. It was chilled and outdoor beer garden in the sun was perfect. Chilling with friends and friendly staff. Not always noticed by staff but great vibes. Reasonably priced and happy hour was definitely worth it! Food was good too. A great place to go with friends.

Had the perfect afternoon here. Ordered the chicken schnitzel burger with fries which I would definitely order again. Service was excellent, Rosa recommended delicious cocktails and they didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to come back again.
