Came
for
lunch
with
a
family
member
who
has
just
had
a
baby.
Our
first
obstacle
was
actually
getting
into
the
building.
From
the
car
park
there
are
three
sets
of
stairs
that
you
have
to
negotiate.
So
with
me
hobbling
down
with
my
stick
while
the
Mr
helped
with
the
pram,
we
must
have
looked
pretty
interesting
trying
to
get
in.
We
did
ask
if
there
was
a
more
accessible
way
out,
but
we
were
met
with
uncertainty.
Nice
to
see
there
is
a
wheelchair
friendly
toilet,
but
good
luck
getting
it
down
the
stairs!
We
chatted
for
a
bit,
and
eventually
we
decided
on
a
light
bite
for
lunch
and
we
all
had
a
sandwich
-
more
precisely
a
baguette.
I
know
times
are
difficult
for
everyone
right
now,
and
that
you
have
to
factor
in
wages,
electricity,
gas,
rates
etc
into
your
prices,
but
my
£12.50,
yes
you
read
that
right,
cheese
and
tomato
baguette
was
not
worth
the
money.
When
you
consider
a
small
portion
of
battered
haddock
and
chips
is
the
same
price
-
and
fish
isn't
cheap
right
now
-
I'd
steer
clear
of
the
sarnies.
It
did
come
with
some
chunky
chips,
that
were
a
little
chewy
in
places,
and
a
vague
salad
but
none
of
this
justified
the
price.
It
tasted
ok...
but
if
you
can't
get
a
cheese
and
tomato
sandwich
right,
rethink
your
career.
Decided
to
have
dessert...
That
was
a
mistake.
I
opted
for
the
carrot
&
walnut
cake
with
spiced
carrot
puree
and
gingerbread
crumble.
The
carrot
cake
was
dry
and
hardly
tasted
of
spice
-
if
it
hadn't
been
for
the
mascarpone
cream
it
would
have
been
difficult
to
swallow.
The
"puree"
was
just
wet
and
lifeless.
The
gingerbread
crumble,
again,
barely
tastes
of
anything...
Such
a
shame.
We
were
with
family
so,
for
those
of
you
that
are
shouting
at
the
screen
"why
didn't
you
say
something",
I
just
thought
it
best
to
have
a
great
time
catching
up,
rather
than
moaning.
Staff
were
great
throughout,
though,
applause
to
them.
Really
helpful,
checking
for
allergies
etc.
It
looks
fantastic
from
the
outside,
it's
set
in
beautiful
countryside...
I
just
wish
I'd
had
a
better
time
with
the
food.
