Visited for first time and the food and service was amazing. I couldn't fault the quality of the food and how lovely the restaurant is, quiet and small but friendly. Worth it for a different experience to the big chains of restaurants. I would definitely go back again. Its a great place for a special celebration or if you enjoy quality food.

Really really excellent food and service. The menu is relatively small, yet it was still tricky to order as all the dishes sounded delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth... and the baked cheesecake was beautiful.

We went to No4 last night for my wife’s birthday and felt compelled to leave a review. The food is simply exceptional. So tasty and well priced and we could end our review there but we’d also like to thank Nina for the way we were treated. Our journey to the restaurant was fraught to say the very least and Nina was fantastic with us by keeping out table open even though we arrived nearly an hour late. On top of great food and brilliant hosting the birthday gift of fudge went down a treat.

Booked this restaurant after reading reviews and speaking to the owner, so our expectations were fairly high and looking forward to a pleasant experience. Unfortunately this wasn't the case mainly due to the quality of the main course which was at best disappointing, as the pork dish was very dry with no accompaniment of apple sauce or puree and no crackling (rind) portions were rather small and overall poor value. The service was poor and we were ignored while the owner welcomed her regulars, will not Be returning to this establishment.

What a hidden gem in Dibsbury! The menu is simple and there’s not a huge choice but each dish sounds enticing! Using locally-grown or sourced produce is the restaurant’s mantra and are masterfully cooked by the chef. The restaurant is cosy and has a homely-feel. Advance booking a must!

Weird. The food is really good, we had a roast and that was fantastic. BUT. Most of the waiting staff are school-aged girls and don't really know how to behave and so it's a bit uncomfortable if you have to sit anywhere near the bar (ie near them) or when you have to interact with them. I don't want to pay for a nice meal out to be made to feel awkward and uncomfortable. On top of that you just can't get away from the fact of the restaurant basically being someone's front room, the decor needs an overhaul to get away from this. I think that adds to the awkward feel, because it's like you've intruded into someones house. I liked the food here but I don't think I'll go back because the whole experience was just a bit weird.

Very good food. Not the best table looking at the wall and upstairs.

Had a fantastic meal tonight at No4 to celebrate my wife's birthday. We arrived at the table, and there was a handwritten card wishing her a happy birthday with some chocolate, which was a lovely touch. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent we couldn't fault anything. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning 5***** 😊

Lovely food, friendly warm feeling around this restaurant. The food was excellent, well priced. The starters and mains were delicious, I can be very fussy wrt cheese boards but No 4 are all over this, no cheese straight out of the fridge here, all beautifully presented, correct temp, ready to eat and enjoy! Our second time but will definitely return. Occasion: wife's birthday, went down v nicely thank you, the fudge gift was a welcome and thoughtful touch.

Came for my birthday last night. First time here, will definitely be back. Great atmosphere in the cosy dining area. Service was wonderful, warm and efficient and the food quality was out of this world. The little birthday gift on the table was the icing on the cake. Would reccomend to anyone. Great experience from start to finish.

Never usually leave reviews but just been in to read my book and have a nice meal and it was probably the best solo dining experience I’ve ever had (and I try to do it every month). The crime brûlée in particular was outstanding. Will be back!

They were really accommodating of me when I completely misread the menu and turned up with a load of dietaries! It was a lovely place and great staff.

Really nice restaurant and great food. Very friendly staff and we had a lovely evening. We were sat near the kitchen and I could see orders being prepared with care and precision. I found it fascinating and loved watching. Nice touch with the gift for my daughter’s birthday. Will definitely go here again.

Fantastic meal at this lovely little gem of a restaurant tucked away down a cobbled street. Food and service top notch. Cheese souffle is to die for. My husband says please bring back the rice pudding with boozy plums 😋

The lady I rang to make the booking was good enough to squeeze us in. Restaurant was quaint, not ultra modern but elegant and very pleasant. Staff were lovely but the food was the nicest meal I have had out in a long long time. Unusual menu but tried something a little unusual and was delighted but what arrived on the plate. I will be back

Wow! I can honestly say , one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was brilliant, it’s a really intimate restaurant and the food was next level. I will be coming back here time and time again

Lovely, high-end menu and friendly service. Great ambience in this old terraced house located on a cobbled street. Recommended.

Lovely place for a supper. The food was fantastic, the wine was incredible value, the staff paid attention to the point a throwaway comment about the nature of the dinner was referenced later (absolutely unnecessarily but very much appreciated)! All in all a brilliant place!

I found this restaurant by accident while walking through Didsbury one afternoon and am so happy I did. It's slightly hidden away from the main road traffic/footfall down a cobbled side street, but the menu outside persuaded me to email to try and get a table that evening for myself and 4 other guests. All of the food was delicious, the presentation was lovely and the staff were very professional, attentive and friendly. I'd have no hesitation recommending this restaurant if you're in the area and lucky enough to be able to book a table. Thanks Nina for responding to my email and finding space for us, we had a lovely meal! We were up from London for a wedding and next time we're nearby, I hope will be able to come again and then can bring the happy couple too. Paul

Lovely little restaurant. We have been before on several occasions, we don't live near anymore but came for a birthday celebration. Nina and team were so accommodating and nice and friendly. The food was very flavoursome and fresh as always. All of our party enjoyed each course they had ordered. A sign of good food is an empty plate and all of ours where empty! Thanks for a lovely evening.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
