Mother Goose…What a show!!!, not an empty seat… full of fun, lovely cast, lots of enjoyable moments, a great night to remember. This is definitely worth going to see, Ian McKellen, John Bishop an absolutely brilliant match. They work so well together, a proper old fashioned pantomime (with topical moments) and with all the favourites ‘ he’s behind you’, ‘the cake making scene’, but my absolute favourite was the bed moment, Bishop, Mckellen and the beaver! Well done a great night had by everyone!!!

Had an amazing night last week attending the Judy Love comedy show. The staff, especially the guys on the door and checking tickets, were extremely nice, friendly, helpful and welcoming. As for the venue itself, it is very old and dated, and the seating on the top of the arena is so tight, dark and hard to manoeuvre around. Wasn't very comfortable sat in those tight seats. Thank god for the intervals!

Come to see chitty chitty Bang Bang with my partner and two teenage kids. The show was absolutely amazing. With some fantastic actors. The theatre itself was stunning inside.. Only few down points. Women's toilets had a massive queue. And probably not enough time between break if you're at the back. Disabled toilets only for selected disability that they see fit. Autism is not seen as a reason to use them. 2nd. No help what so ever if you're autistic. We promised someone would come to our seat to tell us when there would be load bangs etc during the show. No one ever came to tell us.

Loved Chicago, fantastic production. Wolverhampton Grand theatre is still a lovely theatre with original features. Cash only at some outlets is a bit dated nowadays, but I've booked for 3 more shows in the next 12 months. I need to remember to bring cash for an ice-cream!

Had a lovely night at this wonderfully refurbished theatre last night watching illegal eagles. Nice to see the traditional architecture in all its glory. Couple of downsides... air conditioning appeared virtually non existent and no ales sold at the bar... considering Wolverhampton has its own brewery you would have thought sales of local ales would a good option.

Great time here. Based right in the town centre so places to eat and drink are very close by. Easy to get to by public transport as close to bus station. Booster seats for children are available at the bar for £1. The theatre was nice and clean and staff were very helpful.

Haven't been here in maybe 4 years, my graduation was the last time I visited here. Came tonight to watch the Pundits Tour and had a good time. Layout is good inside the Grand, hoping to come back for more visits in the future. If you don't like crowds then don't try to leave straight away, wait a few mins before trying to exit.

It has been many years since I visited The Grand Theatre, and it was lovely to see the improvements made. A good welcome from the staff on the door to the bar staff and ushers. All round a lovely afternoon.

We finally got to the theatre after 2 years! It was not a disappointing visit. Everything run smoothly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The grand theatre is a lovely building and a great venue to introduce kids to the theatre. This was my daughter's first visit and although she was a bit overwhelmed by it all, she enjoyed it! I can't wait to visit again!

After two years of COVID, I was determined to see a comedian I really enjoy so I literally looked for the best seats I could find in the country - in the UK was the only condition. Wolverhampton it was it. I got a lot of 'why are you going to Wolverhampton?' (we're from the US), but I came out of it feeling like a genius. The Grand is a beautifully restored Victorian theatre that is the ideal size. Our seats were K17/18 in the stalls, and they were perfect. I could not have hoped for a better venue or experience. Close (but not too close) and comfortable seats. We ate a great Indian restaurant before hand, enjoyed walking around the square, and absolutely loved the Wolverhampton Art Gallery. The whole thing was a great experience, and I'd make our way to Wolverhampton again in a heartbeat.

I gave this 4 stars due to the many restricted views you incur with your seating plans, because of this the good seats are very hard to come by if you don't get them when the tickets are first available. Its a lovely building with beautiful ceilings and lighting. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help there just isn't enough of them to cater to you which can cause ques to build up and a rush to get back to your seats in time. However I always enjoy the shows here they never disappoint me. So in all the only downfall are the seating everything else is brilliant and you are always guaranteed to have a wonderful evening.

Love visiting the Grand the staff are all friendly and helpful, both on the phone when booking and in the theatre. Considering the age of the building it is in great condition and always clean. The seating is fairly comfortable and almost every seat in the stalls has an unrestricted view of the stage. We go fairly often and have never had a bad experience . Definitely recommend.

What a lovely theatre, in a superb state of repair. Seats didn't have loads of leg room but they were comfortable. The staff were lovely, cheerful and helpful. It's not the biggest theatre, but it's cosy and I had a great view of the stage.

Visited during peak pantomime season and was very impressed. The theatre seems to have definitely had refurbishment and the production was amazing. Normally refreshments are extortionate at theatres but pleasantly surprised to have brought three drinks, popcorn and 2 bags of sweets for £20. All round a great night out and good to see the grand in good shape.

My Husband and myself spent a lovely evening at the Grand theatre. We went to see strictly ballroom the musical. It was absolutely fabulous show all the cast where brilliant in it. The theatre was packed out, the cast all had a standing ovation at the end of the show. We would definitely recommend going to see it, my granddaughter's going this evening with her friend and her parents. I am sure they will all enjoy there evening watching the show as much as everyone in the audience did last night (Fabulous)

Decent town centre venue with decent parking close by. Went to see Rob Lamberti doing his celebration of George Michael show. Dress Circle first floor seats were easy to find and get to. Crowd was a mixed bag but a lot of late 40’s and early 50’s in plenty of slap and cheap perfume. Behind us were some more elderly patrons who couldn’t stand because of age and illness and people kept standing and dancing all through the performance which meant people who couldn’t stand couldn’t see anything. When your paying £50+ for a ticket to see someone’s back for a couple of hours it’s pretty rubbish. One of the elderly politely asked an (orange lady) (you know the kind) to sit, so they could see and got a mouth full of abuse. I really felt sorry for them. It overshadowed what was a really good show by Rob and the live band. Staff did nothing. I probably won’t return to this venue.

A totally engrossing performance tonight of Animal Farm. A really lovely venue and all of the staff are so helpful.

This really is a lovely theatre, refurbished within the last 10-15 years but the design outside of the auditorium is poor. Queues and overcrowding are caused because of the bar and seating right at the entrance giving only a narrow walkway to the auditorium. Likewise, the Dress Circle bar area is tight because of the ‘VIP’ boxes they’ve installed if you want to pay a premium price. We’ve been several times and they’re never used, probably because of the cost. Finally, the seating seems to be based upon 1894 body sizes, not modern day. It’s a shame because it’s quite beautiful. On the plus side, most seats seem to have a good view and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Went to see 'She's Royal', beautifully written history lesson by Tonia Daley Campbell, directed by Lorna Laidlaw and starring an all female cast. The theatre is a stunning, sympathetically upgraded Victorian venue, which is progressive enough to host both modern and classic productions. No snobbery. Comfortable. Welcoming. Friendly staff. If you think theatres are stuffy and elitist, go and let The Grand change your mind for the better.

Not been to the Grand for many years so didn't know what to expect. To be honest it didn't seem much different from my last visit. It was clean, staff were friendly and welcoming. We went to see the Cher Story, which was really good thoroughly enjoyed it. Enjoyed the evening so much that we have already booked to see another show.

Amazing building rich with history been a few times as a young ankle snapper to see the traditional pantomimes but most recently been to see ed gamble and one other comidion absolute amazing atmosphere very clean staff are lovly ed gamble we arrived late and half way through the warm up act but once done we soon got in to our seats at the front only downside but I won't score any lower than five stars as that's what they do deserve is the drinks prices I understand things have gone up but £3.50 for a bottle of pepsi when the same bottle in co-op is say £1.35 that's the only down side but sadly these places can charge this but over all definitely a worth while visit with some amazing shows coming up in the following months and next year keep up the amazing work we look forward to coming again very soon

Went to see the panto Alladin. What a great show. Purchasing tickets was easy online, you can also collect from the box office. Door staff were friendly when doing bag searches and all staff were happy and pleasant. Be aware that one bar only serves bottles so if you order a soft drink you only get half a cup! Seats were comfy and our tickets had no restrictions for the views. There are pillars holding the balcony up so check when booking, the seating map does advise you if restricted view. Panto was great but I must ask the question, why do some people go to a panto if they are not going to participate in the booing and clapping to create the atmosphere? Definitely be back for the show next year and any others that appeal in the year ahead.

First time I have been here and wow what a lovely theatre will certainly come back. The theatre is not too big in fact all seats are good viewing seats. The bar was not too busy and well staffed with pleasant people wanting to serve. The only down side was the ladies toilets we had to go downstairs and as usually the queue seamed endless. There are only 6 toilets clearly not enough

Wonderful afternoon in the theatre. Wouldn't imagine that Wolverhampton had this gem. Traditional theatre with great view of the stage.

The rock orchestra by candlelight 🤔 was ok until the lead singer came on 😱 omg, this type of show needs a different type of vocals ( sorry) I was not impressed, my foot did not move until the last three performance's.

Absolutely amazing visit to see Mother Goose. Sat in the Grand Circle and have to say it was very uncomfortable, no leg room and I'm only 5'6". Good view of the stage from our seats but unless I could get better seats with more leg room I couldn't sit through another show.

Fabulous show as always! As expected bar and toilet facilities were extremely busy during interval but that can't be helped. Friendly door staff and ushers too! Enjoyable experience all round

Nice theatre, staff always helpful, bar prices reasonable and easy to park and get to. Been here quite a few times and will come back whenever there’s a show I fancy seeing - filming this part of the show was encouraged by the way… don’t film the shows it’s naughty

We had a marvellous time 🍸💕 beautiful theatre 🎥 lots of interesting history albeit the surrounding area isn't the nicest. That doesn't take away from The Grand. A little pricey but captive audience. Ian McKellen and John Bishop and Co were amazing. Great show!

👍👍 The cafe is amazing! Absolutely delightful food. Brilliant welcoming staff. The word hearth springs to mind, as it provides warmth and light, food and protection from the cold. Hospitality and sanctuary and a damned good cup of coffee On my visit i had a panic because I lost my phone and the staff...
