This is the best food I have eaten outside in years upon years. The chef is a beautiful amazing woman who is creating masterpieces here. One thing I would say is if you are a cheapskate then just don’t go. If you are going to count how much pounds each dish costs and then be upset because it’s not a gigantic plate then don’t go. This is for people who want to chop, chat and chill, not for people on a budget or yes you will try to choose one plate and leave hungry. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy this great service and delicious take on Nigerian food.

Gorgeous. Small restaurant, tapas style. I haven't had true Nigerian food for years and visiting Chuku's brought back the love. Wow, everything was so tasty, I could have had another round of it all. Good polite, informative and professional service. If they were available on delivery, I would be ordering regularly thats for sure. Especially loved the moi moi and the trio of stews

I really liked the small plates idea. This meant that we were able to sample most of the menu. The food was tasty and well presented. Some of the dishes were a bit on the sweeter side, like the Sinasir (rice pancakes). The moi moi was probably my favorite though. Another nice thing is that the menu isn't meat-heavy, more than half is vegetarian or vegan. There are also many gluten free options. Service was very friendly and really quick. I would definitely recommend booking since it's popular and not that big.

My belly was full and my heart was happy! Chuku's serves West African food, tapas style with plenty of vegan options. All my plates were delicious, the food was served hot and fresh with a short wait time, the waitresses were friendly/helpful and overall it was a lovely dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

From the moment we walked in, we felt like family, and the relaxed ‘chop, chat, chill’ vibe really set the scene. The vibe is all pastel-laid-back Sunday brunch vibe that makes you feel like home. The menu is extensive, with some dishes and drinks I’d never seen before, offering a wide range to choose from. We opted for the weekend brunch special, which included a variety of tapas and a drinks package, making it a great value. The flavors were out of this world! From the sweet pea nutty caramel Kuli Kuli chicken to the cassava fries topped with fiery red pepper, every bite was a delight. A favourite was the suya meatballs with an addictive savory sauce. The extensive vegan options were a pleasant surprise, catering to a variety of dietary preferences. But the star of the show for me? The lamb amayase – rich, decadent, with a pleasant offally taste that left us craving more. My only small niggle is that attracting the attention of a server to get more drinks was sometimes difficult. Highly recommend.

I went here for the June Supper Club, it was a birthday treat so I can't comment on value for money / cost. We sat on one long table and they didn't allow you to sit next to the person/people you came with to encourage us to speak with new people. There was a rule that we couldn't speak about work which I enjoyed, and we were all asked to write down one thing that made us smile that week on little slips of paper, we put them into a tin where they were mixed up and each person read one aloud. The hosts did ask about any dietary requirements as it was a set sharing menu, and they just brought out all the different dishes in quick succession. We shared one tapas dish between roughly 4 people, and there was definitely plenty of food to go round. When each dish was placed on the table, they didn't name the dishes, I think it was assumed that I/we would be familiar with the dishes. When I asked about each dish, I was told the names and my questions were answered, but I was mocked by one of the hosts, at times for not knowing the dishes. Part of the point in going to a Supper Club is to learn more about food/ cultures you don't know and to support independent chefs / businesses. I don't remember the names of each dish as there were so many, but when I asked again, I was told to look up their menu online. There were no actual menus on the table. The drinks were at an additional cost and I think the prices were reasonable. The desserts were innovative and tasty. We travelled a very long way to the restaurant and due to the distance and my personal experience at the Supper Club, I wouldn't return, but I still recommend you give it a try as the food was nice.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is an absolute wonder and it just works for any occasion. Just order plates of what you think looks good and you won't be disappointed. I went for a quiet dinner with a friend and then with a big group and it's just perfect for both occasions. The service is warm, super fast and they just know what you need (when you need it). If you're not local, come and seek this place out. It's worth it.

The food here was absolutely delicious. It comes tapas-style - as it's ready on small plates. We had the chin chin to start, followed by the jollof quinoa, suya meatballs, moi moi, yam croquettes, dodo, chicken ata din din and caramel kuli kuli chicken, and finally the plantain waffle for dessert. Everything was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere and service were also great. We loved the music and the decor. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. Would highly recommend a visit to Chuku's!

First time trying Nigerian food which has a reputation for being meat heavy. The small plates concept was a good way to try lots of different things at once. Lots of options for vegetarians and vegans as well as pescatarians. Portions are small but you should have known this when you booked somewhere with tapas in the name! The food was delicious, very filling and reasonably priced. 4 plates and 1 drink per person plus service cost us £85 (2 people). The restaurant is cozy and has a chilled atmosphere. Good place to come with friends.

What an experience! The food was mind blowing and the attention was great! I’d recommend: -Jollof quinoa -The rice pancake IS TO DIE FOR -The caramel wings were absolutely incredible. -For dessert, the cheesecake was glorious. The lamb was good but super spicy. We did not love the okras. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. We spent 160£ for 12 tapas. Attention was great!

Super tasty Nigerian food! I love this restaurant, we tried five dishes and for sure we're gonna come back and try more. The plantain and chicken wings were amazing, can't wait to come back.

First of all the staff were so friendly! We felt really welcome and accommodated here. We didn't book and it was a busy night but we got put on the waitlist and they called us back really quickly, and they even let two more of our friends join us last minute. Also there were so many gluten free options! And plenty of vegan and vegetarian food too. My favourite was the beans - super simple but amazing flavour. I think overall for tapas it was pretty affordable too. I definitely want to come back and try more dishes! The vibe was immaculate, beautiful food presentation, beautiful decor, and a clean toilet! Perfect all round :)

It was so good the first time Chuku’s deserved a second visit. This time on the table was Suya Meatballs, Caramel Kuli Kuli Chicken Wings, Cassava & Ata Dindin (spicy fries), Beef Ayamase (pulled beef), Egusi Bowl (yam dumplings & 3 x stew), Sinisit & Miyan Taushe (rice pancake) & Adalu (slow cooked honey beans). As expected all were delicious! A good feed after a bouldering session near by at Stronghold.

The food it's nicely presented and the restaurant it's very pretty but i didn't feel the Lagos taste , maybe because i expect a proper Nigerian food at least in the sauces and i didn't taste the deep Nigerian seasoning. Not expensive but quite high prices for tapas. The dessert very good. The service it's great and very friendly.

Good vibes and food only! Really good and different dishes, great atmosphere and design. The waitress gave us helpful recommendations on how much and what to order. Dishes are fairly small and pricey though, but definitely worth the experience!

We had 8 tapas (for two people) which were throughly enjoyable. My favourite was the rice pancake with a pumpkin peanut stew (Sinasir & Miyan Taushe) which had a slightly crunchy crust with a lovely chewy interior. Another highlight was the ice cream on the yam brownie. It had delicious malty, butterscotch flavours and was superb! Make sure to come here if you want to try Nigerian Tapas with a slight modern twist :)

Great food complimented by the friendly staff! The flavours take me back to my time in Abuja. I'll be going back again and again. Don't forget to book your table, they get busy!

The food was really unique and yummy, especially loved the cassava chips, the chicken wings, plantain waffle and the rice pancake thing!! The okra was really fresh too. The service was very friendly but they did forget our order (so we had to wait a bit longer) and dessert came a bit late, might be due to the fact that it was rather busy. But an overall good experience!

An incredible meal! The food was delicious and made to perfection. If you don't have a lot of experience with Nigerian food their menu gives great detail, including a QR code you can scan to see pictures and read further about the dishes. When making our reservation, we mentioned that my partner had an allergy to nuts and they brought out a whole index showing which items contained different allergens. That was amazing.

Great little restaurant. The mains dishes are great to try something different. Our waitress was very polite. It’s great they have pictures you can see on your phone. We had about 11 small dishes between 4 of us and that was plenty really. We ordered 8 and then 3 extra after. (We did have 3 desserts to share after, but I think 2 would have been enough). Favourites: chicken wings (the new ones were ok but better the classic) the rice pancake and mackerel croquettes. Also the cassava chips are great (we got two of these) although they are quite spicy! Plantain is also nice. The chicken curry was also nice (the mild one) Meatballs are ok to try. The quinoa was ok but would have been better as regular jollof rice. Dessert wise: best dessert for me was the cheesecake. The waffle was ok, but I’d avoid the yam brownie (it looks yummy and texture is nice but it isn’t so tasty in my opinion). It was very busy on a Saturday evening so it was worth booking. Their number is on the email they send you in the terms and conditions.

This is such a hidden gem!! I've never tried Nigerian food before so to have it served in tapas format, was just genius! We got to try a bit or everything and loved it all! Watch out for dishes containing the Ata Din Din sauce... OMG... it was fire!!! The service was incredible as well... Taya, our waitress was a legend! Highly recommend you try these guys out!

THE best place restaurant in north London. I’ve been here so many times and each time introduced someone new to the place because it’s just that special. The team are so warm, so welcoming, the service is super friendly and the food is just, chefs kiss!! The owners are also usually present and will go out of their way to say hi and appreciate your custom. It’s legit my favourite restaurant for so many reasons and if you haven’t been you’re missing out on quite an experience. The prices are so reasonable considering the quality and portions and the Nigerian Tapas style means that you’re encouraged to try a bit of everything. Go, sample it all and now they deliver! Will be trying their brunch soon! Update: brunch was great, they have a few packages to choose from but we felt the standard for £35 was good value for money. The only downside is prawns are excluded so we got them as extra :)

Three of us had a wonderful tapas meal at Chuku's recently. Even though two of us eat meat we opted for the whole range of veggie tapas along with one prawn dish (they recommend about 3 dishes per person). It was just wonderful. A fantastic way to sample different flavours of Nigeria. My personal favourite was the cassava chips, but all the dishes offered a different taste and texture sensation. Even though some dishes included scotch bonnet it was not blow your head off heat but a gentle flavour enhancing warmth. We enjoyed their cocktails too. A word too for the young serving staff too - we felt very welcome and their friendly service added to a really relaxed evening. I highly recommend Chuku's.

Came here with a dear friend recently and honestly cannot wait to come back. We shared 8 tapas / dishes between 2 people and it was more than enough. We had their dodo, quinoa jollof, lamb, egusi, rice pancakes, suya meatballs, moi moi. It was super flavourful and a wholesome meal. Every dish was delicious!!!!! Customer service was good too and the atmosphere in there is really nice. The interior also really added to the vibe.

We absolutely loved our anniversary dinner at Chuku's. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Our personal favourites were the meat balls and dumplings. We also enjoyed the signature cocktails.

Cute joint, nice atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. We didn't get a chance to book a table so we turned up expecting we would be turned back but to our surprise, we were offered a table facing the roadside which was nice. The wait time wasn't long about 15-20mins, the dishes were very flavoursome and tasty...wow I really enjoyed the yam fries (can't really remember the name of the actual dish but it was so good 😊) Located along a busy road (about 3mins walk from the seven sisters underground station), the decor is simple yet trendy. The staff were great, quite accommodating and nothing was too much for them to do. Not sure about the quinoa Jollof, but was told it is deconstructed 😂 so kindda went with the flow. The lamb Asun wasn't bad. I guess they are trying to cater more for other cultures rather than serve authentic naija food which is understandable 😊 They have a toilet and a well equipped bar area. I went with a friend to support them after I saw their social media campaign. I would recommend and definitely stick with certain foods on their menu 👏🏼👍🏼 well done guys and I wish you every success 🤗

Absolutely delicious! Fantastic for gluten-free too! Have one of everything - you won’t regret it. Fair warning for those items with chili pepper symbols next to them, they mean it. The plantain waffle is worth saving room for. Atmosphere was delightful and welcoming. Service was wonderful too! Can’t wait to go back.

Had a great experience at this restaurant! Food is great and the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic! The decor is lovely and you can tell a lot of effort and soul has gone into this place, great vegetarian and vegan options too! Really enjoyed the quinoa jollof and cassava chips, can’t wait to try more soon! Much recommended! 💯

CHUKU's.. I was not ready o! The food, the service and the vibe is spot on. The high life music coming through the speakers as you sip on palm wine.. love it! The Sunday all in brunch was the best choice because you guys be serving up a storm. The fried plantain tossed in cinnamon sugar and coconut? Pheww.. one time for your pastry chef because lord knows did not expect the yam brownie and chin chin cheesecake.. yes! You did that! Una weh done o! And thank you for elevating our cuisine the way you have done! 🎯🥳👏🏾🙌🏾

This has been a real surprise, definitely a next level restaurant! All the food is so interesting and delicious, the complexity you can get from a simple dish of quinoa is unbelievable. I'll definitely be back and share with others! Thank you!

I visited Chuku's recently. We tried a range of different dishes. The portions were on the small side but nevertheless the food had great flavour, the staff were friendly and the co-owner talked us through the menu. The 90 minute window wasn't enough for us to eat dessert but I look forward to returning to try the waffles.

Really nice place. I've been meaning to come in a while and was great. Lots of small dishes (we had i think ~7 between 2 and this was probably a bit too much). The staff are really great. Friendly, warm and I came away thinking they had great customer service. Food was good and I really enjoyed our meal. Maybe a bit sweet for me but it was all very tasty and I think this is maybe just a bit of personal preference (it was my first Nigerian food so i have nothing to reference against). We will definitely be back and a great restaurant in the area.

Great night out with some of the Crisis Team crew at Chuku’s, the world’s first Nigerian Tapas restaurant. Here we experienced a symphony of delectable and authentic Nigerian food with feel good vibes! The brainchild of siblings Ifeyinwa and Emeka Frederick . We tried all different kind of dishes and being tapas that was possible and we were able to share. This is a dining experience to shout about. The Egusi bowl, Cassava and Ata Din Din , Jollof Rice, Dodo , Zobo Wings and Banga Chicken come highly recommended. We all can’t wait to return. We promised we would leave room for dessert!! Compliments to the staff who provided impeccable service. Shout out to the 🧑🏾‍🍳 👩🏾‍🍳 and all kitchen staff. The cocktails went down well . Shout out to the bartender! 👌🏾

Visited Chuku's today with a friend having wanting to try it out from it opened. Finally had a chance to today and I was not disappointed. From the professional website and booking process online, my experience was a pleasant one. Upon visiting, from entering to the moment we left, the service was exemplary and food, fresh, tasty and indulgent while also healthy. Our interactions with the waiting staff and Emeka, one of the co-founders were warm, friendly and polite. Great idea, Nigerian tapas and well worth trying out.
