Absolutely love coming to wing yip, growing up i didnt really go to asian supermarkets and as i've got older i have come to love the trip to our local supermarket. The range and variety are absolutely stunning, there are brilliant little finds here, it sells dishes, pans and crockery that help transform your dining from casual kitchen to oriental fusion. On today's visit i bought some lovely chinese snacks, which i dont believe i could find anywhere other than here at Wing Yip, i got some vermicelli noodles, some fresh vegetables and fish, i also got some fermented black beans which are absolutely stunning, i also when visiting here always grab something random and try it and today was a bottle of Heinz Ox Sauce which i think i'll coat some deep fried chicken wings in. They also have a brilliant and extensive selection of frozen food from sui mai to frozen crabs. I'd say this place would be amazing for all your chinese cuisine needs. Highly recommend to anyone looking to shop and cook this amazing food.

Chinese institution in Manchester, they stock all kinds of Asian produce, there's also fresh chicken, pork, beef, fish, and lots of frozen produce. There's specialist fruit and vegetables, herbs, Chinese herbal stuff, medicine, and commercial stuff for takeaways, and restaurants. There's two floors of parking, the glamorous restaurant is on the first floor. Prices are very good, generally much cheaper than the supermarkets in Chinatown. Recommended.

This is a large supermarket, i was only interested in snacks and unfortunately the selection was small compared to the stores in china town, so i actually left with nothing. they have a very large freezer section and theres a fresh meat and veg section. Parking is free with plenty of spaces and is fully wheelchair and pram accessible

Bought a fresh pork collar on Sunday, and found that the meat gone off, so I come back and return on Tuesday when I am free! But the staff says that everything cannot be returned after half an hour of purchase. But how can I check when my way back home was more than half hour🙂🙂🙂they said need to call and inform the about this. But how to contact them after its after operation hour? They should review their return policy🙂🙂🙂and done it as flexible as supermarkets

Our favourite Chinese supermarket with great choice of fresh and frozen goods. Lots of different brands, available to public all the time. Reasonably price but be careful as some items like sushi Nori can be found way cheaper in Tesco at times. Been here various times to buy disposable items too.

Large Asian food supermarket, has an excellent selection of.. Well everything! The fresh produce, meat and fish available you won't find in a western supermarket. Its on the pricey side if you're buying for yourself. It has a parking lot which is useful although a little tricky to maneuver. Everyone is in a hurry as if their lives depended on it!

Great shop with great staff. Big range of products available and prices are good, Vegetables, fish and meat is really good and the staff at the counters are very helpful. Free parking on the bottom floor of the car park. If you get time try the restaurant upstairs.

On Sunday, I bought some fresh pork collar, but when I got home, I realized it had turned bad. I wanted to return it today for a refund, but they told me I couldn't get my money back after half an hour of purchase. It's extremely unreasonable!

Although the variety of oriental goods on offer is undoubtedly good - with the provision of a lovely restaurant on the upper floor (Glamorous), the same cannot be said of the staff - who have an (old) Hong Kong style attitude of "give us your money then get out !" Apparently someone bought some meat from the store, & brought back a piece which was off. Rather than simply apologise & replace the meat, the staff (& manager) did - but berated the customer & said they were not welcome there ! Caution required here !

we ate in the glamorous restaurant above the supermarket…..so disappointed. we were given the mains whilst still eating the starters!!! a big no no! when i’m going out for dinner, i don’t want to be in and out within an hour and £120.00 down. the waitresses kept walking around our table waiting for us to finish our starters…we knew the mains would be waiting….so annoying. the starters were nice but the mains were not great. king prawn and cashew nuts was more like carrot with bamboo shoot! crispy beef in peking sauce was hard to eat, and sweet & sour chicken wasn’t that good. another really annoying thing was the chairs… so low you feel like your chin is resting on the table! wont be returning!

This place is dangerous for your wallet. Amazing products and fresh produce, and awesome staff. The place is very well organized and clean. Always busy. We went up stairs to the restaurant as well and that was incredible.

It's busy and full of Chinese food stuff which is unsurprising given the name and exterior branding. They have lots and lots of interesting food at very good prices. There are two distinct areas inside. One area has a supermarket type feel where you can buy household quantities of good the other area is a warehouse with a cash and carry feel for buying large quantities. On the whole an experience and worth a visit.

Expected the cash and carry to be a lot bigger and have a lot more range than it did. Products are good quality and fairly priced. Not a lot of sweet/desert, I also thought they would have had a better choice of branded drinks such as special edition coke etc

I absolutely love Wing Yip Superstore! The variety of Asian products they offer is amazing. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find everything I need. The fresh produce section is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. It's my go-to place for all things Asian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Shop was fine, but beware the parking. Just got 100 fine on a Sunday at 4.30pm for not quite parking in a bay. We had parked in a bay perfectly well for 35 mins and spent over 130 pounds in the supermarket. Then we moved the car to get closer to the exit as we thought the car park may close and we wanted to be seen, the driver was in the car the whole duration, but unfortunately not quite in a bay. No other cars around, literally about 6 cars in the whole car park, not causing a nuisance, the driver could have moved at any time and was waiting for the passengers who were visiting the gift shop. Goodness me! Harsh! And seems not the first time for some harsh parking restrictions. Just reading the earlier review about family who stopped momentarily to adjust the needs of a small child in the back of the car - also slammed for 100 pounds parking fine. Shopping was fine....but make sure you park exactly in the bays even if you re just waiting.

Great place for all of your Asian food shopping, fresh and Frozen. Have a great new fridge section. Some veg like chillies mushroom's etc are extremely well priced. Maysan curry paste is cheap here and they have a Huge range of sauce's and dips, crockery etc. Toilet's are clean. Just miss the in-house bakery they used to have... Staff are friendly enough but a little abrupt. Sharp kitchen knives are very well priced here too, maybe there's a connection 😂😂. Parking takes a minute or two to find a space if you can't go upstairs in the multi storey (like me) but it it central Manchester and it is free! Overall very good

This place is great , the range of oriental foods is vast , loads of stuff you just can't get in a normal supermarket. This store also has it's own free car park , which is a big plus being so close to Manchester city centre. Staff at the checkout were very friendly , I will be going back here , again and again.

Extensive Asian supermarket, popular with the restaurant trade. It is possible to source lots of different Asian food here from fresh produce including vegetables, fish and meat through to noodles, rice and cooking utensils. An amazing store.

Great Chinese & Asian superstore. Ground floor is now almost completely devoted to food, including fresh fruit, vegetables, fish & meat in one corner, and frozen foods at the other side, with extensive ranges of jarred sauces, oils, soy/oyster/fish sauces, rice & noodles, and so on. Plus some cookware & diningware, although most of the arts & crafts are now upstairs. Well worth visiting.

A reasonable priced Chinese supermarket with ample Chinese sauce as well. Good to shop around after having a lunch at the Chinese restaurant here.

First visit here and probably the most impressive Chinese Supermarket I've been in due to the layout and the cleanliness. Not the biggest range of the ones I've been in however feels much more modern than the ones in SoHo or Leeds. The fresh range is fantastic but everything in bulk. It's also quite expensive. It would be nice to be able to get smaller amounts.of some things, hence the reduction of a star.

Large superstore. Widest possible oriental groceries choice, meats & seafood frozen and fresh, various vegetables, sauces and etc. Friendly staff members, free parking. You, probably, would not find so exceptional variety of fish and shrimps elsewhere in all North West.

Absolutely fantastic Chinese Restaurant, first time we had ever been there, food was unbelievable, waitresses very polite and professional, a couple of Chinese friends took us, can't thank them enough.

Huge selection of asian products ranging from kitchenware, dry, fresh, and frozen. They are pretty spacious as well compared to some asian supermarkets so you don't feel too crammed in. They serve a lot of restaurants, hence the large bulk buys. If you want to find some restaurant-style items, you'll likely find them here. Prices are pretty reasonable for the most part. Parking is free as well (though a bit crowded during busy times).

My first visit. Clean, bright. not an empty shelf. Clearly and economically priced. Shelf label in english. Indian and Japanese products. And not only food. Wish I had popped in years ago.

Fresh, tasty genuine dim sum and traditional Chinese food. More pricey than I was anticipating but I guess most restaurants are increasing as well. The grocery store on ground floor was massive. Tons of items as well as a wholesale section. I was hoping for a bakery (baos) or deli/cooked food section( BBQpork), but there is none.

Brought the cuttlefish in Manchester store which is full of sand inside the cuttlefish. It is difficult and time consuming to clean it as well as paid much more than normal cuttlefish with reasonable sand in it if it should have. Just wonder why cuttlefish is full of sand inside it as my understanding that it’s not living under the sand!

An excellent grocery store for all your Oriental food needs. They have a wide range of Asian and European seafoods freshly delivered to store at affordable prices. Good and safe parking spaces, excellent customer services, etc

I find this store great for purchasing novelty items and they have a wonderful range of food, however, it is quite expensive, so I couldn’t see myself shopping here on a regular basis. The store was a little untidy/ unorganised compared to other supermarkets and some items seemed to be missing a price tag but it did seem clean at least. The two ladies that served me at the checkout were polite and helpful. I would recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

Had bigger expectations from such a big supermarket. The dry noodle selection was extremely limited. The supermarket is probably better for wholesale and businesses that get access to bulk buying more products

It looks like a supermarket in the olden days. You can never find a supermarket looks so old fashion nowadays. It gives a wrong impression of the Chinese supermarket should be look like to local people 🙄I’m looking forward to the new look. Please make it looks like a real Chinese supermarket in our modern days. 😮‍💨

Price similar to normal supermarkets. The advantage is you could find a variety of Asian foods, drinks, sauces and kitchen stuffs in one-stop. Recommend for car driving.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel.
