😠 Interesting that another terminally ill Cancer Patient, has been treated the same as my experience 2 years on, basically not worth bothering over, as we're terminal, so the extra mile is never given, staff talk at you but not too you, patronising Doctors, non empathetic nurses, failure to care, all... People often mention staff, care, cancer, caring, Cancer, life, team, service,

Interesting that another terminally ill Cancer Patient, has been treated the same as my experience 2 years on, basically not worth bothering over, as we're terminal, so the extra mile is never given, staff talk at you but not too you, patronising Doctors, non empathetic nurses, failure to care, all round, make you feel like you need to be put out with the garbage at the back door, kept out of sight, we're bad for business. Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence for Brain Cancer Mission? Not in my name. How many terminal patients were asked for their opinion?

I will be attending the department today for my final treatment. I am so grateful for everything that Guy’s have done for me. Everyone I have met has been so supportive, kind and professional. The unit is always calm and welcoming. Everything is explained clearly and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, despite being delayed by the hospital transport system on occasions. (I travel daily from a hospital in Kent) Thank you all so much. You’ve made a stressful time in my life so much easier to deal with.

They all deserve more than 5 stars at the Guy's Cancer Centre! Excellent service, everyone is so helpful, welcoming and they really care about their patients. My journey was less hard thanks to the whole team. The consultants, the chemotherapy team, the radiotherapy team, the Dimbleby staff, the fitting room staff and of course my lovely Doctors and nurse were basically my family during my treatment and they couldn't be more amazing! THANK YOU

Brilliant staff - Gina G & Rosie to name but a couple. Helped me cope with the physical side effects of chemotherapy and stay positive along with getting me the mental health support that I needed when the will to continue started to fade. God bless everyone that works at this life saving centre. P.S they need better sandwiches ;) Ciarán xxx

From the moment you step from the street through the automatic doors you seem aware of a warm caring yet very professional environment. Everyone is keen to help and put you at ease. I have been going here now on a four weekly basis for 15 months and I wouldn’t for one moment consider changing my view. Well done Guy’s Cancer Centre

Excellent first class service from the NHS, everyone was so helpful, welcoming and agree 5 stars not enough. I had MOHS surgery for skin cancer and had an overnight stay nearby in clean, bright accommodation with views of the shard. I then attended St.Thomas Hospital to have reconstruction surgery, from start to finish I can not fault our wonderful NHS service. Well done Guys & St. Thomas Hospital.

From Bobby on the chemo unit who’s care was outstanding and made me feel reassured until a bed was organised for me. From then on I was looked after by Ed, Aurelie Pham, Eiren, Mario, Lara Gilberto and many more, including The catering staff Alina. The service and the care is absolutely exceptional which is something that is so important. Thank you for your cheerfulness your kindness and most of all your exceptional care. I would recommend 100%

I'm glad to see so many good reviews here and seeing everyone recovering well, which gives me more hope; but unfortunately, my dad got a female consultant (I don't want to name her here) who is very impatient, even a bit rude (not sure if it's because of cultural differences), she is always in a rush, never answering our questions and concerns properly, she didn't seem to care about my dad's condition at all, and after many months of treatment, when my dad asked her if his brain tumour was gone, she even laughed at him, not in a polite way but more like ridicule way, which hurt my feeling; I felt my dad had been bullied. She makes everything uncomfortable, which causes extra stress and despair in my family. In addition, we tried calling the nurse for days (I called 10+ times per day), but no one answered, and they kept making mistakes with my father's appointment date and time. Last but not least, they lost my father's blood test record, so he had to do it again. I would like to ask anyone here is it ok for my dad to change a consultant? And any recommendations? Thanks

Been waiting and waiting for dr macy to call my dad for 2 days now. Every time I ring I get told by the receptionists that the doctor will be ringing soon.. the GI nurse that rung back eventually after waiting for her to ring me for over a week called last night just to say she can’t give no results but will page dr macy to call.. how can these so called doctors and nurses treat a terminally ill cancer patient this way is beyond me!!!!

😠 The night nurses are terrible they treat you like a subhuman. Many patients go ignored and neglected and I can’t even imagine how many people die because of their negligence. 😠 If I could give them a zero I would. I am from the states and unfortunately, had an accident and needed emergency surgery. I was treated so poorly. 😠 Nothing short of disgusting. If I could give no stars then I would! Entered via a filthy main entrance covered in grime and cigarette ends - is it too much to ask that a major Hospital in our capital city at least looks clean and welcoming upon arrival?
