Update; Had another amazing visit because I was craving more deliciousness and as usual it was completely satisfied! My only wish is that I could have their food weekly.. πŸ˜‚ I've been craving vegan egusi for a while then my sister stumbled upon Nkwsgala!!! Thank you Nkwsgala!! Our food was delicious, hot and the flavors on point. Everything was made with lots of love that you can taste in every bite!! I can't wait to eat my way through your menu!

I can honestly say that I am a huge fan of Nkwagala Concept. As an African, I grew up eating similar dishes. Now that I’m plant based, finding African dishes are almost unheard of, especially alkaline dishes! I can’t thank Nkwagala enough for getting creative and bringing the dishes that were once a good memory to life! P.s The Egusi is a masterpiece 🫢🏿

This was the best food I ever had and it was all alkaline so I indulged. Since being a strict all alkaline vegan it was never a thought I would get to try vegan African food let alone alkaline vegan. 10/10 on everything I tried Oyster mushrooms and burro fries Okra soup and egusi soup with spelt fufu Perfect electric sauce combinations for the chicken and fries The best burro mash potatoes I ever had Place is amazing and their energy was vibrating at the highest level

The experience was different, but well worth it. The delivery service canceled our order, but Nkwagala stepped up and made sure we received our food and the food was delicious. I would recommend Nkwagala to non vegans as well as vegans.

A lot of vegan places are offering the same food. This is not the case for Nkwagala. I’ve always wanted to try Nigerian food but there are so many ingredients I don’t eat because I’m plant based and alkaline plant based to be specific. The food is so good it’ll have you guesssing the ingredients every bite. If you in Los Angeles , this is a must. I’ve bought food 3 days in a row haha.

I don't often eat Nigerian food, and this place showed me exactly what I've been missing. The Jolloff rice was absolutely delicious, seasoned well and piping hot when the gentleman brought it out to my car. Texture and consistency of the banana and mushrooms are still on my mind. Can't wait to come back!

My experience here was very beautiful & I am so moved by the energy, hospitality, and souls that catered to my first time being here. The lady on the phone was very kind and inviting. I got lost while trying to find the building. Her voice and aura spoke a thousand words before I was able to place my order and meet the gentleman that came down just to make sure I was able to have my order taken. I ordered the Mac wings with cucumbers and the oh La la egusi soup. This was my first time trying Nigerian dishes and i really enjoyed the palette journey. I started with the wings & indulged in the cucumbers. I absolutely felt the love in everything that I ate. I’m a big fan of going to restaurants that serve beautiful energy that washes over you to the point where you have a miniature awakening in the process. I’ve only encountered this once in my life from cooking outside of my own. This would be the second! Amazing job! I’ll see you again soon! ~Ja’Leezia

Best Alkaline Vegan food around in SoCal! Food was so good and the servings are good size for the price as well. Egusi was very filling and tasty. Looking forward to trying more stews and other items on the menu!

First time having Nigerian. Tried Egusi and a big phenomenal wow. I've traveled all over the world and this may be one of my favorite meals I've ever had. The combination of spices creates such a complex and distinct taste different from any other cuisine that I've had. I'm reminded of Indian or Thai curries, but only as a way of helping others relate to it. The truth is, it's something entirely different and exotic. The heat gave it an awesome kick that further enhanced the flavor. I'm sold on trying more Nigerian cuisine, but I suspect this Nkwagala Concept is true homemade and authentic Nigerian food. They even called me afterwards to ask me how the food was. Such kind and hospitable people. If the price seems high I promise you it's worth every penny and then some. Skip the Michelin restaurant and order from Nkwagala instead. You won't regret it.

I ordered from here, so excited to have west African food since I moved to LA. I ordered spicy egusi, but it was very bland tasting and not spicy at all. Super disappointed

This was one of my favorite dining experiences I’ve had in Los Angeles. Paul was so kind and hospitable and you could taste the love that was put into each dish. We didn’t realize it was take out only but he delivered our food to us in the courtyard and it felt like a family member feeding his sick children. The food is so comforting and healthy at the same time. We will definitely be back. πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž

It was our first time having Nigerian food. We were excited to try it alkaline. Very flavorful, delicious, & came out very hot too. Will definitely be back for the okra soup. I really enjoyed the spice level too. The food was fulfilling and left me feeling satiated and light. Thank you!

I havent tried any soups or fufu yet but i have tried the jollof rice, cutie chips, butternut squash, deez nugs, and mac wings and let me tell you they hit the tastebuds everytime! They dont miss with these alkaline foods. You should forsure try the jollof rice with chickpeas its even better! As for the deez nugs and mac wings, season them to your liking!

I was lucky to stumble across this gem. The food was amazing and Diverse I had the okra soup, It was delicious being Nigerian I had very high standards and they rose to the challenge. The okra stew was fresh and flavorful I had the foo foo made of oat, which gave it a light sweet/oatmeal taste that complements of the soup. I have buttermilk squash on the side which was a great addition to my meal it was like eating sweet potatoes but not as sweet or greasy. I followed up with her personal lemonade which was very refreshing. The meal was very filling and I look forward to trying everything in the menu
