Delicious. As a person who was born and raised in Korea, the bibimbap taste authentic and appetizing. No frills. I could tell the beef in the complimentary soup was definitely high quality beef. Absolutely recommendable 👍

Best Korean meal I've had in my life there was more flavor in those mushrooms than anything I have eaten previously The guy behind the counter is so nice and full of heart it absolutely blew my mind

I would eat this everyday if I could. In fact I almost do. Fantastic everything. The wagyu beef bowl is mind blowing. This needs a higher rating than 5 stars.

Tiny adorable store with just two seats that has a small selection of delicious Korean dishes. I got to try the bibimbap and unagi and both were delicious! The bibimbap uses a soy based sauce instead of the usual spicy paste and it’s really delicious. Unagi was nicely broiled and I really enjoyed the spicy sauce. They also sell old school Korean snacks and drinks. Great quality food for a great price.

We came across this place totally by accident, but I'm so happy that we discovered Sobak. We ordered the bibimbap and the unagi don, both were absolutely delicious! In particular, the unagi was melt-in-your-mouth with an unexpected but awesome spicy sauce. I will definitely be back for more, highly recommended. Just be aware that there are only two seats inside, so takeout is likely your best option.

Very good food, newly opened restaurant! Definitely worth the money, it helps support the owner a lot. A single owner who is very talkative and nice, he makes everything from scratch and it really makes a huge difference in taste.

AMAZING food all around in a low key setting. Totally recommend kalbi soup plus A5 Wagyu bowl. Will definitely go back.

Really great bibimbap - well portioned/balanced w vibrant veggies and perfectly fried egg. Adorable spot overall, great for lunch or a lighter meal! The spot is small (and adorable) so might not be a great dine-in spot for a big group.

Bibimbap was delicious. Tiny place with four food options and only a couple of seats.

Walked by many times before I noticed it. Finally tried it and—WOW! This place is amazing. They have four basic options and the two that we tried were incredible. This is not just tasty and made with high quality ingredients, it’s truly fine. Familiar flavors but elevated and done with great care. I’ve tried lots of “it” places that had delicious food but there was usually something a little too showy, slightly off balance. This was the opposite. Fast, fresh, and delicious in that way that’s not pretentious. Your mouth and stomach are simply happy. You can taste every element but also no one thing is the most exceptional. The bibimbap was amazing (even without a stone pot🙂) and the unagi was the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to try the rest (incl wagyu!) and the kalbi soup too.

One of the best bibimbaps I’ve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!

His kalbi soup tastes exactly like what my dad used to make. The eel bowl is also delicious. Salad tastes very fresh and pairs well with the spicy eel. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the neighborhood. I used to eat here at least once a week when I lived in the LES.
