I had an electronics trip with Dillon last Wednesday and had an absolute blast. I actually headed up there on Tuesday and stayed in the talkin tackle lodge. The whole experience didn’t disappoint! Everyone there is absolutely amazing. From Eric at the front desk to Dillon and Tanner were just down to earth good people and instantly made you feel welcomed. As far as the actual trip it was exactly what I was looking for. Dillon took the time to show me everything I needed to know with running my mega 360 and active target. He also explained in depth the side scan and down imaging as well. To be honest I didn’t care if we even caught fish but I lost count after we boated the first 20. I will be back in the spring!

Met here this morning to leave with Dillon as my bass guide for the day. What a phenomenal experience! First, I must say that this tackle shop is extremely clean, loaded with goodies, and is just an all around wonderful atmosphere. It feels like home when you walk in the front door. As a rookie to bass fishing it can be intimidating walking into a place like this. The owners were fantastic and treated me great. For weeks I haven't been able to catch very many fish on my own at all. I knew it was time to share some experience with a pro. Within just a few minutes of instruction and a few short casts Dillon had us catching fish instantly. Great quality fish too. Dillon was an extremely patient guide, friendly, and super knowledgeable. This guy has a passion for what he does and it shows! I learned a ton of techniques today and obtained a bunch of knowledge to apply in the near future on not just how to fish but also how to find the fish. I will definitely be bringing you guys my business in the future and I look forward to another guided trip this fall to throw some frogs! Thanks again and God bless!

Great staff!!! We went on a guided fishing trip today. Dillon put us on a ton of fish. He is a true professional. He makes you feel like one of his friends instantly. We will be coming back again. The tackle shop is also one of the best that I have seen.

First day here, but these guys are amazing- very accommodating. I'm relocating to the area and was having a hard time finding a pet friendly place while I look for a rental..... Even before they met me, they treated me like a friend. Cooper at the front desk was is nice, patient, and friendly. Kerri was helpful and very nice too.... The rooms are nice, clean and the beds are really comfortable. I'm looking forward to checking out the lake tomorrow! There are only a few rooms available here, so if you are lucky enough to find one open, do it!

This place was a great place. I believe it was Greg whom we dealt with our whole 2 night stay. He was great to deal with... very nice, extremely knowledgeable (put us on spots to hit) & very respectable. I pretty much have a tackle store in my basement but me & my husband was still able to find things we didn't have & things we was short on to complete our stay with our fishing. Location was perfect because it is to its self & away from people which is a plus for me disliking being around people & it was maybe a 2 minute drive to a popular spot to put the boat in which was a plus for my husband. I was also very impressed by how clean the room was... I always find something to complain about & I looked and did my normal inspection & couldn't find a thing so... we have taken many short trips lately & this is the first place that was truly clean which says lots. I also wish I would had seen the reviews so I could have gotten a pic yesterday with my fish I got from the tackle store, nothing was wrong with them... my first one did appear dead once I threw it out but we had ice water in there so they wouldn't get too hot... I took the first fishy off the hook and put him back in the cooler & he made a miraculous recovery 😂, he wasn't dead afterall... it was more like shock from the water change or something.. I let the water warm up in the cooler & had no further issues & all fish survived in the end since I only threw them twice then released and added my next one. They have some awesome night crawlers also.... picture added of one. This place doesn't need to change anything but if they ever did (not complaint because we didn't have a issue but would be a nice addition), add garage doors on the back so you can easily get the boat in the garage pulling through... it took us a minute to get the boat in the garage. We needed a last minute room and found this place. The folks that run it are very nice and this is a place that is well taken care of, clean and cared about! The rooms here are what you hope to walk into every time you rent a room. The towels were nice home towels, not the super thin cheap stuff you normally get in a hotel. Beds were nice and very comfortable. It has everything you need and there are a few good places to eat nearby. Thoughtful of host to put a binder in the room with local information and suggestions. It’s a great place and I have zero complaints. I’d stay here over and over.

The tackle shop is high quality. Absolutely no junk in it. If you are a bass fisher, you'll get high quality stuff from there for sure. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable. Wish I had that bed at my house, and I never say that at any hotel or lodge, especially for that price. We did a guided tour, the guide is very knowledgeable, and overall caught a good decent amount of fish, comparatively to most of the fishers we came in contact with, we did probably the best. Size wise we caught a decent amount of 3-3.5s would've been nice to catch some bigger, but your dependent on the season you go.

Nice looking, well stocked tackle shop. Employees are very helpful. Live bait is questionable. Shiners are undersized and don't live long. Have red/pink sores and some have "face rot"... Basically no mouth. Hopefully it was just a fluke and got a bad batch. The guys there seemed nice and they have any type of artificial lure you want.

Top notch, great atmosphere. Met some guys down there from all over the states. Got to learn a ton from everyone I got the pleasure of speaking with. Definitely will be back.

My daughter and I checked in 9/3 we had an amazing experience. The guys who own this Lodge are extremely friendly. They always had coffee ready for me in the morning. We had our 2 dogs with us, they are very dog friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. I do not fish, but the tackle shop is top notch. I would give them 10 out of 10. We will be back. Lisa

The best tackle shop! The guys there have the knowledge and share that knowledge. Great selection of tackle and hard to find items. The Guides are awesome! And it's close to the Chester Frost boat ramp.
