The St. Louis Wheel

Tourist attraction β€’ Ferris wheel

πŸ‘πŸ‘ What an incredible little adventure! This is the nicest Ferris wheel I have been on. It was completely enclosed and comfortably fit 4 adults and 2 children. We had heat, and there was also music playing in the gondola. Pricey? Sure but you’d expect that everywhere these days. I really loved it! People often mention wheel, ride, Louis, night, city, experience, views, time, Wheel, beautiful,

So much fun! We went right away in the morning and had no problem and no wait. It cost 19.00 per person for a 30-minute ride. I would try doing it at night next time, as the lights on the ferris wheel and town would have been amazing. We were lucky to see the workers using the ferris lights for a gender reveal, which was so unique and special!

I recommend visiting at night when the wheel's bright lights create a stunning display. The city lights also contribute to the pretty view. From the enclosed pods, I was able to spot landmarks such as the Arch, Enterprise Center, and CITYPARK Stadium. The climate control inside the pods helped us stay comfortable despite the summer heat. We visited on a weekday night and had a short wait of just under 10 minutes. However, the $20 price tag for a 15-minute ride felt a bit steep. Supposedly, if no one else is in line while you're on the wheel, the staff will kindly extend your time.

Great experience and amazing views of downtown St. Louis. The family thoroughly enjoyed the ride and it was a good value for the money. Jul 2023

The last night my boys were in town, I thought what better thing to do than taking them on the wheel. We didn't get there until 8:45 that evening so a wonderful view of the lights in all directions. It was a cold evening but being this late and a cold evening we didn't encounter a line and got right in within minutes. The cab/cart/pod (whatever they are called) was warm and completely comfortable. The views are amazing. Honestly better in the dark in my opinion.

We enjoyed every second and the view is totally worth it! Staff was friendly and we even went around more than we though we were going to! We highly compare this to Navy Pier in Chicago and the wheel in Atlanta and this is MUST DO when near the Union Station area in St. Louis!!

The idea that The St. Louis Wheel is in the spot of a historical wheel is interesting, but the truth is that it doesn't appear that the current structure is at all the same as the original structure. Additionally, it is expensive ($15 per person, if I remember correctly) and the fact that there is really nothng to see other than parking lots and construction sites was disappointing. This could be a great site if the grounds were kept up around it so that you were viewing beautiful gardens from above, but currently it was very disappointing and, in my opinion, not worth the money. Time at wheel is very less only two roounds and that too very slow .

This was a lot of fun. It's the first ferris wheel I've encountered that has a completely enclosed compartment which makes for an interesting experience. I'm not a huge fan of heights but the views are amazing, especially at night. Overall the ride was smooth and the time just clipped by. Definitely worth experiencing at least once!

SINCERE THANKS FROM CANADA! My husband and I, and our friend, had a wonderful experience at the St. Louis Wheel. The process to buy the tickets, to wait in line a few minutes, to take the photographs, to enjoy the ride, everything was easy and pleasant. The staff was very welcoming and the ride felt very safe and very comfortable, allowing us to view the city of St. Louis in a unique way. When we returned to Montreal, we realized that we had lost the professional pictures ''somewhere''. I took a chance and I called the organization and I spoke to Danielle and also to her husband Carl; both of them went way beyond our expectations to find our pictures and then to give us the code to retrieve them. This is really a FIRST CLASS OPERATION!!! We are so happy and so thankful. We highly recommend this attraction and we are sure that you will have an amazing time like we did!

My partner took me to ride the St. Louis Wheel for my birthday in 2019, when it had only recently opened. I recommend it to anyone but couples especially, and go at sunset if you can. It made for a very romantic evening and wasn't terribly expensive. I loved looking out over the city, which was new to me at the time, and checking out the rest of Union Station while we were there. Since each gondola is separate, I would say it's safe during COVID. Personally I would wear my mask in line to buy the ticket and in line to ride. There's a chance to have your photos taken but we opted out of that. Very enjoyable experience.

Was a beautiful evening seeing all of the sights but it was quite the chilly evening. For as many outdoor areas. You’d almost wish there was an outdoor heater area. Very beautiful and fun place will be visiting again soon!

The views were amazing! The live wasn’t long and it was a nice ride. The only downside was that I couldn’t get the air to flow on me. The tickets were per person and not per car, which I found odd. Also they take a picture of you entering, but of course you have to pay for it. It’s also a lot of other activities to do in that same area which is cool.

We had such a wonderful time. The ride was so smooth. Christmas lights. Christmas music played. Comfortable ride and so toasty. We did the wheel date night. Let me tell you the adult hot coco is the best I’ve ever had!!! It was so good we’re coming back just to grab another.

Incredibly fun icon of St. Louis and Union Station! $15 per person, and we were up in the Wheel for about 15 minutes. Definitely worth it, especially at night when you can see a large part of the city from the top.

Me and my daughter enjoyed the Wheel. Our daughter is only 21 months old and she absolutely loved it I thought maybe she would be scared when we got up really high but she ran around in the little pod. Probably the best part about it is it goes around more than just one time while you're in it it goes around like five times. Thank you so much for a amazing day.

Super fun view of all of St. Louis! We did about 7-8 rotations. Super worth the cost in our opinion. The gondolas are temperature controlled and have music playing and are very gentle, not jerky at all! Recommend if you’re in the area!

I enjoyed the experience even more than I expected to! The line advanced rather quickly. I was able to leave my temporary wheelchair in a safe location. The ride operator was pleasant. We went on an extremely hot day and were pleasantly surprised by each car being very well air-conditioned. The ride was pretty smooth, considering how high up it went. I lost count of the number of times we went around, but it was quite a few. We were on it for at least 15-20 minutes. The seating was comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us. However, the website says it can seat up to 8? Maybe 8 really small people crammed into the seats, but certainly not 8 average sized adults. My stepdaughter, who was afraid of heights and ferris wheels, after the first couple of rotations, said she was enjoying herself and even took some pictures. Getting off the ride was a little unsteady, but the ride operator was ready with my cane and a helping hand. My husband got some great pictures

It was a nice finishing touch to a quick trip. I chose to come back and take this Ferris Wheel ride during the day. I walked around a bit at a leisurely pace and relaxed all before lunch. For $19 dollars I got 6 rotations in order to take a birdseye view of the city from a distance. I felt as if I got to experience a little something extra on this short trip. I was able to see one of the stadiums and the Arch from up in the air. It was a sedate yet pleasant experience. I really enjoy the calm of the Koi pond, I had the opportunity to experience it last night and this morning. 😊 To clarify there is no admission to enter The Wheel you just pay for the different attractions and of course snacks, food, drink and novelties πŸ˜‰

The wheel was a good time. We had the 6 event pass where we did the aquarium, selfie station, mirror maze, Carousel, Mini-golf, and the Wheel. The kids enjoyed the wheel and we were there on a clear day. When it stops it does rock quiet a bit. It is 200’ so it is 49’ taller than the Statue of Liberty. Kind of wish we could have gone around a few more times. It was 6 rotations. Make a day of the whole event for about 6 hours. It was a worth it and the station is clean and well maintained. Parking is $5 if you get it validated in the gift shop.

Nice one time experience. $17 for adults and $12 for kids (over 3 years). Tickets can be bought online or at the wheel (in cash). The wheel goes so slow, beautiful views from the top. It was boring after the first round :)

The St. Louis Wheel is a must if you happen to be at Union Station! We had so much fun seeing the city at night which we highly recommend for the best views. Multiple soccer fields and pyro shows able to be seen from the top heights of the ferris wheel. About $20 per person and they close at 10!

Went up in the STL Ferris wheel. It is wayyy higher than it looks πŸ˜‚! Great views of the city, arch, stadium, etc. It was about $40 for our little family to go and I am glad we tried it. It was a Halloween weekend too so we did the St. Louis Union Station Train or Treat as well.

We went on a cold night, so it wasn't crowded. It was St Patrick's day so the wheel was lit green. The ride was fun. We booked the tickets online.

St. Louis Wheel is one of the beautiful tourist attraction in St. Louis. The wheel surrounded by nice area with Resturant, ice cream place, and the aquarium. I took my friends and family who visit me from outside the states to see it. There is a small pond with variety of fish that you can purchase food to feed them. Also, there is fire show that happen between 12 pm to 9 pm, starts at the beginning of each hour for like 10 minutes, very beautiful to watch. Regarding the wheel. You can see most of St Louis from the wheel. You need to purchase a ticket for the wheel, but the area around it is free to visit. There is Carousel Ferris wheel, mini golf, and little pond. In Conclusion: Recommend for family and friends to visit.

Beautifull place in the middle of beautiful downtown. 1 thing if you wana go with kids and play in the playground and the speed pitch and the basket ball , they close it all on weekdays at 6pm.and on weekends at 8pm. So this all FREE stuff to hang out is closed by that time. How, so ever Mini golf and carousel is open with paid tickets. 10$ for both kids and grownups for mini golf. And 5$ for carousel. Ferris wheel is awesome . Cabins beautiful and clean .

I decided last minute to surprise my little family and visit the wheel. Website is easy to navigate and was able to get us tickets quickly. There was no line at the gate. Staff is friendly and it was a great experience. The heated pods were so nice.

The wheel has Gondolas as opposed to pods, so it feels a little more exciting. The views from the top were spectacular. We had a beautiful clear day so we could see for miles. The ride lasts about 15 minutes and you get to go around a couple of times. It goes a bit fast than the pod style wheels I’ve been in before.

Fish feeding, fairies wheel, playground, zip lining inside the St. Louis station, aquarium, & ICE CREAM! All the food places in the immediate area are delicious! So much fun for my little guy

Has a bunch of activities for the family and could easily kill a couple of hours here. I had a ton of fun, it came as a suprise that they had an hourly fire show at the koi pond. It was a very fun adventure for my dad, boyfriend and me.

Love a good ferris wheel! Line was pretty long though, would recommend getting your ticket online (even then you have to wait about 20 to 30 mins in line on a busy day). Went around maybe 3 - 5 times? Good view and the employees are very nice!

This was one of the best experiences in my life. We spent the day riding the ferris wheel and the Merry go round, playing mini golf, walking through the house of mirrors and visiting the aquarium. Everything is perfect for people of all ages.

I don’t understand why it closes so early. If I owned it it would be open at least till 11 so people could really get a good view of the city.
