I absolutely loved this class. I mean Stewart explained it so clearly and easy to understand. I was so nervous because I was a newbie. And the instructors at the gun range were so kind and patient. The encouragement that I received was wonderful. I will be looking onto other classes that are offered. I strongly encourage anyone thinking about getting their ccw, to take this class.

My husband and I just took the Conceal Carry class. The majority of the class focuses on legality and safety. Everyone learned a lot, even those with prior carry experience. Every state is different and the law can change rapidly. At the shooting range a few others like me had very little experience but the instructors were patient, informative, and so helpful I had no problem passing. I highly recommend this class.

Great class with an educated obviously experienced teacher. Stewart was as focused on safety and legal education as he was on basic self defense tactics and proper handling techniques. Would highly recommend.

This was a great and unique event experience for the group I was with. We all loved Stewart, he was a great instructor and encourager. I would definitely recommend the course as a good intro to self-defense, and I'm looking into taking other classes with this school now!

I'd never shot a firearm before, but after taking this course I felt very comfortable holding, handling and shooting the rental. And I'm a pretty decent shot thanks to the guidance of the instructors (see photo). It was fun and they are very knowledgeable.

Triangle Self-Defense is terrific. All the instructors are well-balanced and highly skilled in Martial Arts. I've dedicated my time to learning Krav and enjoy taking the classes. Not only do you learn self-defense, but you are taught the real-life consequences and situations you may find yourself dealing with if done without restraint. I just earned my yellow belt and cannot wait to get my orange belt. If you're looking for practical self-defense training and a great workout, I highly recommend Triangle Self-Defense.

This class was awesome. I was at beginner level of firearm knowledge/handling and when I left class that day I had gained so much information and was so confident in wanting to learn more. Stewart ( the instructor) is very good at explaining everything so that you understand no matter what your knowledge base is. I was in a class with people that had firearm backgrounds and some like my self that had none and he kept the class engaged as a whole. On the range he was just as efficient. This is where I was super nervous but he and the staff there are so patient and helpful you get comfortable with the drills. You can tell that they care a great deal about their job, the seriousness that comes with firearms and the people that they are sending out into the world with this knowledge. This is something I have wanted to do for years so glad I finally did will remember it for forever Thank you.

My husband and I took the concealed carry class here, and don't regret it. The instructor was informative and friendly. The course material was easy to understand and explained thoroughly. We enjoyed the interactive discussions about cases.

I took the EDC Pistol 1 + 2 class with Stewart this weekend and it was awesome. We started with basics and drills and ended the day with really fun and useful friendly competitions. There were 3 women and 3 men in this class with varying levels of experience and Stewart treated us all equally, never talking down to those of us with less experience. Safety was the number one priority. I learned a lot and am still processing all that I was told. I highly recommend taking a class or private with these folks.

I came in for self defense training with my roommate before we move to NYC. Stewart was awesome and took us through a bunch of scenarios that we could have been put in. Not only did he train us physically but also mentally and what to look out for. His prior experience in the air force makes him and his teachings that much more credible. I really loved the entire experience and how much they truly care to make sure you’re able to defend yourself. It’s about you, your comfort and your learning, it is serious yet very enjoyable. I definitely recommend to anyone considering!

I was very impressed with the Concealed Carry Class and had a great experience. It was very well organized, informative and engaging. Stewart, as well as the other instructors, are very knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed both the classroom and range session. The instructors were very patient and I didn't feel rushed to complete the shooting test. They helped me recognize my shooting mistakes and I left the class feeling more comfortable and confident in handling my firearm. Would definitely recommend this class to others!

Enjoyed the Concealed Carry Class. Instructor Stewart made the class interesting and shared some examples and video's that put the NC laws and gun safety in perspective. Traveled to the range and had the opportunity to shoot a pistol. Daryl at the range was very professional and really made what can be an intimidating experience, enjoyable and comfortable. Had a great experience during the concealed carry class. Very informative, all questions answered, and you could tell Stewart had all the information to make you feel knowledgeable about having the permit. I would 100% recommend taking a class here.

Any one considering concealed carry would benefit from this course regardless of their experience. Well worth the time and money. Stu is a terrific instructor, has a wealth of knowledge on firearms and self-defense. Will definitely go back for more classes.

My husband and I took the Conceal Carry Class yesterday. We had only fired our guns once prior to the class. Admittedly, I was nervous taking this class, but Stewart; the owner, teaches a serious subject in a relaxed atmosphere. He is knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. Wether in the class or at the range he expressed the serious nature of handling a gun, but did so in a way that was patient and kind. We would recommend Triangle Self Defense Training to anyone just beginning or looking to sharpen their skills. I know we’ll be signing up for more classes with Stewart! Excellent experience renewing CHL. Stewart covered a lot of material in classroom for the written test. Easy to follow for a new shooter. At the gun range the team spent a fair amount of time with safety, dry fire and prep for the shoot portion. Excellent for new shooters. Highly recommend for all experience levels.

Incredibly impressed by Stewart's teaching during our private lesson. He broke things down to the fundamentals and took the time to answer any and every question I had. He's professional, patient, and passionate and those are key qualities of a good teacher/coach. I'm very much looking forward to taking further classes/privates with Stewart and the folks at TSD.

I attended the Concealed Carry course yesterday. What an amazing class. I was engaged the entire time. We spent the morning going through the legalities of self-defense, gun ownership and watched videos of real-world scenarios. I definitely got a new perspective on how the law works and situational awareness, to say the least. After taking a written test, the afternoon was spent qualifying with pistols on an outdoor range. The RSOs were very patient and helpful with beginner shooters. I highly recommend this class— it’s definitely given me a drive to continue taking more gun courses

Took EDC One and Two with Stewart. First off I would like to state if you are going to own a firearm you need to be confident in operating it. This is a large reason why I took this course, my experience was excellent. Came in with limited experience to no experience shooting and especially from appendix (I do dry fire) and was immediately welcomed rather than questioned as to why I was in the course. Stewart is patient but honest and will not let you off the hook for poor safety, weapon manipulation, marksmanship and focus. I greatly appreciated this teaching style because ultimately I was there to improve and leave my ego at the door. I would say I left feeling very confident in my ability to work from concealment, manipulate my firearm properly and safely, deliver accurate marksman, and at an efficient speed. Long story short if you have no experience or all the experience in the world you will gain something from taking this course.

Excellent training for concealed carry course Certification! I was very impressed with the quality of the material presented and the instructor Stewart was excellent and the time spent went quickly due to the down to earth teaching provided. I didn’t know what to expect and read the good reviews Triangle Self- defense received. I was not disappointed and I am looking forward to taking more advanced training with them. I recently attended the Concealed Carry Handgun course (Oct 2021) and found the whole experience to be excellent. The instructors (owner Stewart and Scott) were very knowledgeable, professional and very good at getting the class to interact. I completed the course with a good understanding of the legalities of concealed carrying and especially my obligations to be a responsible concealed carrying citizen. I would 100% recommended Stewart and Scott at Triangle Self Defence & Tactical Training and will be back to further my training and knowledge. An added benefit of being an Alumni of the organisation is the access to their great online content, training videos and so on all of which are very professionally done.

I was very satisfied with my participation in the NC Concealed Carry Handgun course at Triangle Self-Defense & Tactical. The communication with this vendor is excellent. Furthermore, their educational information is consistently repeated to allow for adult learners to process and retain. Safety, safety, safety is role modeled by the staff. Both the indoor classroom and range are excellent. Finally, the staff are professional, easy to relate to, and are happy to answer questions. The only feedback I would offer is to move the concealed carry insurance vendor to the lunch time. This would allow those who are not interested to avoid a sales pitch.
