Alright everybody - I grew up in the Philly area where bagels and bagel sandwiches are part of every day life (seriously, I used to get a bagel sandwich almost every day before school in the good old high school days). You have GOT to try Brooklyn Bodega. I came here for my go-to bagel sandwich order (Sausage Egg & Cheese on an everything bagel, they call it the Jersey Boy) - it’s like the grown up, more delicious version of what I am used to eating…. Grown up because everything is cooked to order - check out how fluffy and delicious that egg looks! There’s obviously some grease because of the cheese and sausage but honestly this sandwich was only a 1-napkin job, didn’t leave me feeling unhealthy or greasy like sometimes you can wind up with! They had regular and turkey versions of the sausage and bacon which is a nice way to “lighten” up the breakfast too, or if you have dietary restrictions. The bagel…. The bagel had the actual chew and doughiness that I’ve missed since moving to the Midwest! Can’t wait to come back and get a bagel with shmear to try. I didn’t get any lunch sandwiches but I’ll be back to try them too. Super friendly, super delicious, super fast, and super worth it. Thank you guys for adding this restaurant to our community!

Brooklyn Bodega is one of the new places to try! Walked in and enjoyed the tunes 🎼🎶🎵 they had playing. The owners were behind the counter working hard to make every order perfectly. 💓 He explained the menu and was helpful in picking out the best "size" sandwich. The deli was sparkling clean and take-out menu's were available. Highly recommend this place for your next lunch spot! 👌 Breakfast served all day! 😎

10/10 on the bread - absolutely fantastic. One of the best deli sandwiches around. Their bagels are awesome too. This place is pretty new (Feb 22) and anyone who likes deli or bagels would love them. Also - awesome potato salad!!

Oh yeah! Thankfully a true bodega/deli right downtown! I got the hot pastrami on garlic and Parmesan bagel, and it slapped! The inside of the place even felt like a true NYC bodega. But like a nice one. Will definitely be back very soon!

Traveling for work, you see alot of chain type businesses and I look to support local spots. Brooklyn Bodega is just that. Mom and Pop owned while providing great food. Speaking with one of the owners, their story of how they started and where they are is amazing to hear. A slice of NY in Grand Rapids. This is one of a few great breakfast sandwich spots in downtown GR, I kid you not. Everything else is chains. A hidden gem.

Researched bagels in the area before coming to Grand Rapids and immediately saved Brooklyn Bodega Bagel. It did not disappoint. Great music, great service, and great bagels. Bagels were soft, and the right amount of chewy, while still being light. The breakfast sandwich (egg, meat, and cheese) was great; perfect melty cheese with great bacon. Definitely recommend patronizing this business!

As an ex-Brooklyn-ite, I can’t even begin to describe the emotional joy of biting into this sausage egg and cheese. It felt like home and love and also damn delicious-ness. My hats off to the Chef and wow wow wow I’m a so happy.

Stopped by yesterday after a recommendation, and I was NOT disappointed!!! I got the chopped cheese, and this thing was huge! I stopped at half, debated eating the other half, and ended up just eating it all because I told myself it will never taste as good as it does now if I reheat it later. Got fries, too. They were like beer battered and fracking delicious. They even threw a cup of ketchup in the box! 10 of 10!!

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast sandwiches and have to say it’s one of the best we’ve had! We highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try! They also have great customer service.

The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on the plain bagel was delicious. I wouldn’t get the blueberry bagel again with plain cream cheese, I would just go for the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich because it was so freaking good!

great place! amazing customer service, extremely clean and just all around good vibes. got the bacon egg and cheese and fries and it was a 10/10. will for sure be back. very rare to find good quality now and this exceeded my expectations by miles. bagel was fluffy on the inside but solid on the out, perfect for a sandwich. loved everything about this place.

BIG fan of Brooklyn Bodega! I get their bacon, egg, and cheese bagel easily 2-3 times a week, it’s so good. I normally order via DoorDash, but recently was able to go in myself and the women working were extremely kind and even more friendly. 100% recommend checking out!

My first time here and the gentleman taking my order was so kind and helpful. Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a cheddar and herb bagel with a side of breakfast potatoes….I couldn’t even wait to eat it so I sat in my car outside the building and smasheddd. The food, atmosphere and the service are all amazing. They had quite a bit of a line but people came and went quickly. They know what’s up! Enjoy the pictures 😂

Glad to have discovered another good deli in GR, Brooklyn Bodega. We ordered a New Yorker sub and the portion was huge! And just as importantly, it was very good. The fries are tasty, but a small portion for the price. The interior is very small and there's no seating available, so be ready for takeout. There is one picnic table outside, but it's in an odd location and dirty. The service was fine, it takes a bit to get your food but the wait is worth it.

My wife and I had delicious food there yesterday. She had the honey maple turkey sandwich, and I had the corned beef sub. Wonderful! The owners are extremely attentive and want to get things perfectly right.

Brooklyn Bodega never disappoints, no matter what we order or how many times! We even bit the bullet and tried the chop cheese which was not something that I would've ever given a second look but, WOW, that sandwich deserves a round of applause, it was phenomenal!! Make sure you try something here, literally anything, you won't be disappointed, and the services matches the food, equally amazing!! Thanks for sharing the goodness with us!!

Brooklyn bodega is one of my favorite spots in Grand Rapids. My gf and I try to go once a week. The chopped cheese is so good, the chicken tender sub is also one of my favorites. The veggie sub is easily the best veggie sub in the city. You can’t find a chopped cheese around here like Brooklyn bodega does it. I will slowly try the whole menu. Everything is made fresh.. I’ve never had my order messed up. Great people, great food! Thank you !

Stopped by to get some breakfast, specifically a bagel sandwich. The photos looked great so I decided to stop in. I got a bacon, & cheese (everything) bagel and it was delicious!!! My partner got a similar sandwich but with egg whites instead and they accommodated. Loved it! Would recommend.

First time at Brooklyn Bodega and looking forward to coming back again! Had the Jersey Boy breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was *chefs kiss* . Great flavor and freshness. It was a bit messy but the best food always is. Also enjoyed talking with the owner - seems like the place is ran by a great husband and wife team/family. Will be happy to continue to support this local eatery!

Hands down our favorite bagel place my boyfriend and I have ever tried! Definitely the best in Grand Rapids. Always excellent customer service, food is quick and always steaming hot and delicious. Vibes and music are always good, and the owners are wonderful and truly care about their customers and their experience. I've never been let down here and will continue coming 😋😋

Aside from my mediocre a** photo, Brooklynn Bodega is a great breakfast and lunch spot. I am a vegetarian so I can’t personally tell you how good their meat selection is. HOWEVER, that potato and egg bagel sandwich? omg… potatoes are crispy, eggs are fluffy, bagel is browned and crunchy on one side… please… it’s so good (i get mine on the jalapeno bagel, but tried the herb and cheese to see what’s up… delicious herb flavor, but could use a slight more cheese, personally). I can also tell you that my partner, room mate, and friends have all tried a variety of their sandwiches (some with meat, some without) and LOVED it… especially after a night out. Plus, everyone there is so sweet and fun to talk to :) Hope this helps y’all!

They’re doing their best to keep the place cool in the warm weather, but don’t let that dissuade you from going. Pretty extensive menu, including breakfast served all day! I had the New Yorker sandwich, and it didn’t disappoint. 3 types of meat, cheese, mayo, mustard, an on a roll. I’ll definitely be going back!

I will forever crave this Italian sub! It’s going to be hard not to order it every time! So so freaking delicious! The french fries were out of this world as well. 👌 Service was awesome. One of my new favorite spots in GR.
