Pretty nice park near the the Delmar Loop. Very dog friendly with multiple paths and ample parking. One full loop around the park equates to almost exactly 1.5 miles.

Woo Hoo! The Heman park pool is about to re-open. A new water park is planned to expand the offering to kids next year. Ruth Park Golf course is rocking! I moved across the street in 2018. I had 3-4 maybe 5 golf balls shanked into my yard for 3 years. Last year I got 8! The parking lot is full all week now. The Ruth Park woods have new signs and well traveled, expertly maintained, trails. The connection to the bird habitat on the east side is complete. The wetlands boardwalks are magical. U-city recycles their green waste in the woods, so an echo locator reveals about 6-10 species of well fed bats flying/ hunting every dusk. The use of native prairie is beautifully crafted and complemented by more “conventional” annuals on the I mile golf cart path that gets allot of dog Walker travel in the early and late hours. The newly lit driving range is on the near term horizon. U-city is definitely the place to be.

There is an incredible arboretum here of many large old trees of many kinds, so it is a great place to wander. There are also incredibly maintained gardens packed with perennial flowers around the building and memorial fountain. Lots of perfect baseball fields some wonderful old stone BBQ grills with chimneys (1930s?). A natural urban stream runs through here so I see geese and groundhogs. The cottonwoods in the middle are quite majestic.

Best park in east county. This park has it all and is safe because U-city police are around the corner. And they are bangers.

They really need to clean more and the facilities need updating. Should be nicer for that area and what they charge.

Overall good park, that has trails to walk and run. Lots of trees and wide fields of grass to play on. The playgrounds aren't top of the line and could use some upgrades but they have everything you need to keep little ones entertained and physically active. I'm approaching 30 and I've been coming here since I was 7. Good park, great memories.

Free summer concert series every Monday night except this year June 10th is dark. Hopefully, this summer they'll have concerts again. Nice park, large areas for kids to play and ball fields, soccer fields and free mulch.

We enjoyed our Friday lunch here since the place we went to get our lunch at wasn't allowing indoor dining. Tables were clean and the surrounding area was well maintained. Restrooms were actually to our surprise very clean and well maintained.
